Hello, I'm a newbie for Nexus one.
Can someone help me? After updated the gingerbread via OTA, sometimes I found that display was dark when i opened program or had incoming call. Then the display come alive when i touched on it or clicked on the back key. How to sovle it?

I have an HTC One black - stock os - UK unlocked version - after 4.2.2 update.
I've got a strange problem regarding the top of the touchscreen. when the phone is horizontal, the top bit (between the top bar to the first widget) is not working. the rest of the screen working fine. when I pick the device up, the screen is working fine 70% of the time. as a result, I cant open the notification bar and it thinks that I'm clicking or re-arranging my widgets.
It's weird because IT DOES work 60% of the time.
1. did any of you experienced any of this before?
2. What do you think it is? software or I have to replace the digitizer?
3. Is it just calibration problem? I tried to calibrate the device using the keyboard screen calibration and it didn't do anything.

I just started experiencing this same problem today as well. I was on a Google Edition 4.3 Rom for about 2 days, Viper 3.2 I believe and everything was initially working as it should. Suddenly I began experiencing the non responsive status bar. I cleared data & cache, fixed permissions, and even tried a factory reset with no luck. I then reinstalled the Rom and the problem persisted. I then downloaded and installed black jelly Rom along with a complete wipe of the entire storage after transferring important data to my PC, but the status bar was still unresponsive and it appeared the top 1/4 inch of display had a digitizer issue. I tried to restore an older backup of Venom Rom running Sense and I still had no luck, until I went into the browser so that I could rotate into landscape to see if I could access it from this orientation (don't know why that didn't cross my mind sooner?) After I pulled the notification shade in landscape I left it down and rotated back into portrait mode and drew the shade back up slowly, following through with the gesture all the way to the top of the display. Then the functionality from portrait was restored! I believe this is a software bug of some sort, but I'm contemplating returning it to stock and relocking the bootloader to return it. I'm actually using the Tmobile variant and it's only about 30 days old. My insurance will cover a replacement for a faulty unit, but who knows if will happen with another? After a Google search I discovered this was an issue that surfaced with quite a few One X's as well, so I'm thinking it may be a bug that's consistent with some HTC hardware of a different variants? Any updates or insight would be appreciated.

I recently flashed my phone with [ROM][6.0.1|STOCK][D5803|D5833] 23.5.A.1.291 SLiMM 3.8 and I'm rather happy with it. But a few days ago, a new white box appeared in the right-hand side of the statusbar, next to the bluetooth icon. (see attached screenshot) I was using my phone as normal and I wasn't installing anything or changing any settings.
So I wonder what it is, and how I get rid of it. It's an eyesore for me, even though it probably doesn't do anything.
any thought or suggestions?

Weird lol maybe it is a corrupt icon for something like the mute icon or something similar
Try dirty flashing the ROM and that should solve your issue
Solution:
Go to Settings (if you're stuck in an app, use the button in your notification panel)
Go to 'System' (try tapping above the broken screen area)
Go to 'About this phone'
That should be all that has to be done! Do note: this fix isn't permanent. Let's hope Nokia fixes this.

Hello all!
When i woke up today and unlocked my phone (while an app is open) the bottom part (starting just above the nav-buttons) of my touchscreen just stops working.
I've had this problem a couple times (at most once per day) since updating from Oreo.
The solution to this problem seems to just to reboot the phone.. (This won't fix it permanently, sadly)
I'm asking if anyone else has this same problem, because i don't know the source of this problem.. (Maybe its because of the app not being P compatible?)

Hi, I have the same problem after the last update (september). Android Pie beta. Almost every morning i have to restart ..
Before the update was enough to just torn off/on the screen .
i don't have this problem on TA-1046 with Pie DP2-DP4.1 or Pie stable... maybe some incompatible apps? you use some for changing NavBar/Gesture area?
although i use XDA NavigationGesture what replace NavBar/Gesture with own, still not having problem, maybe you can try too this replacement, have many more function/settings that stock Pie gesture
for u its bottom touch screen is not working , but for me top of my touch screen isnt working .. and iam facing some serious problems after updating to pie . my phone restarts all of a sudden while charging , app crashes and more , hope hmd fixes this kind of issues in upcoming oct security patch update .

The app i left open last when it happened was "Boost For Reddit"
I'm using the old navbar layout (so no swipe)

That's soo weird! I really hope HMD will release a patch soon.. I don't want to downgrade back to oreo
Issue with charging
I am having a charging issue. My phone usb and adapter is working fine with other phones. But when I connect my Nokia 7 Plus below 50%,My phone shows charging And when I tap the screen it doesn't charge. It occurs couple of time. And then It becomes normal and shows rapid charge after 55%. My charging port is fine when I connect it with my Pc usb port. some how the rapid charge doesn't respond. Does anyone have this problem?

What is real time for charge? Rapidcharging is disabled while you activated LCD
Yeah I'm facing similar issues, or did... I'm not sure... but it's been a non-issue for the past ~36 hours now. Here's to hoping it's not an issue any longer. I speculated it might be adaptive battery related somehow, so I tried rebooting my phone just before going to bed Sunday night, but my navbar still worked Monday morning, and this Tuesday it's still working in fact. I did this to test if it stopped working based on time since last reboot, or because some background process being killed due to adaptive battery/doze putting the phone to sleep. But based on my recent experience I think my hypothesis can be rejected. And I'm still not sure what caused it.

Same for me ta-1046, happened to me twice now. bottom part of screen stops reacting to touch. reboot fixes it.
Hmm... After playing around in the settings while having this problem active, for some reason, going to the phone info section just fixed it... I'm not sure if going there actually did that. needs more testing, I suppose.

Huh, I'll be damned. When my nav bar was frozen this morning I went into the "about phone" section in the menu, and, lo and behold, my nav bar sprang back to life instantly. Now it might still just be a coincident of course, but it's certainly interesting, and could potentially be a fix where you don't have to reboot.

Same problem for me after upgrading a couple of days ago. Bottom of the screen (navbar and a bit more) is not accessible. Always happens after a night charging.
Going to the "About phone" menu fixes it. Thanks!
I have seen reports of people with other phones saying this is due to the setup wizard being active and preventing using the navigation bar. Tried some suggested adb commands without success. I will still try to disable the setup wizard app and report back.

This might help getting a quicker fix from Nokia.
Looks like the recent October patch still has this issue.
Would be nice if i can get a logcat this issue, but given this issue gets triggered after hours of inactivity, it would take a looong time to sift through the log.
Maybe there's a way to trigger it without waiting?
I can try logging when i do the "about phone" fix, will come back to this.

Hi yesterday I update to zui11, but now the notification of whstapp and other apps, doesn't work. The notification show up, but no sound. What's wrong? Thank you for help

I tried several things, installing an app Notificon, changing sound and vibration, adjusting things in the Zui Security app and even removing Zui Security via ADB. Nothing worked, so i am back to Zui 10. If anyone has a working solution, i would like to know as well!
I have the same problem. No notifications here and also I notice that internet connection is down most of time whille bloqued my web.whatsapp.com say connect to phone lost...
NEW ROM for this phone will be perfect. At this moment whit original ROM it's like driving a Ferrari whit bicycle tires.
Used alway on display like "Always on AMOLED | Edge Lighting".
