Ringke Air or Fusion for S7 Edge? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Accessories

Hi Guys,
Looking on the pictures I couldn't see clearly the differences between those two cases.
anyone tried them both and can comment on what is the better option?
I couldn't find any review for the Air model
thanks!

I prefer the Ringke [Slim] Ultra-Thin Cover.

The Fusion is made of harder rubber & is thicker and heavier than the Air. The Fusion's corners are more reinforced, offering better drop protection.
The Air is made of softer rubber which has somewhat of a "sticky" grip, whereas the Fusion is more smooth.

Thanks all,
so now what you'd suggested..air/slim/fusion? thanks!

i had the fusion on my s6e. air on an iphone 6s.
i ordered the air for my s7e. both are nice, but the air is thinner, grips better (without getting pocket lint stuck to it) and isn't as susceptible to scratches on the back. But yes, as the other guy stated, it doesn't protect from drops as well as the fusion. The only drops my phone sees are 2-3" drops onto a table

I can't say anything about the other two but rocking my Fusion since start. Only thing I don't like about it, doesn't taper at the back so found this one from eBay — be receiving it this week.

Have the Fusion on my S7E for a week or more now, and love it. I think it's a great compromise between not adding bulk to the phone while providing good protection and grip that allows confident one-handed use. It looks great on the phone too, shows it off. My wife (aka: Mrs. Picky) really likes it as well. Recommended. I haven't tried the Air, but my advice is if it's slimmer/smaller then you're probably sacrificing protection too much w/the Air.

It's not rubber(I haven't seen cases use this in a while because it stretches out over time). The case is made from a TPU which is more resistant to oil, stretching etc.. I have the fusion now which is a hybrid case (TPU bumper, polycarbonate back), and my Fusion air is enroute (should be here sometime this week). I will let you know how it turns out since the regular Fusion isn't ideal for dropping the phone.

Returning my ringke air. Loose fit on the s7 edge.

Slim case to cover sharp side edges?

I like the edge but I don't like the sharp metal rim/edge feeling on the side when I hold it. Is there a slim like case that would cover it?
I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SV635BG/
they have them in clear too.
Rearth Ringke Fusion
You might also want to look at the Rearth Ringke Fusion Case. It has pretty slim yet solid sides and a transparent back.

When I bought the Slim Armor, I also purchased the Space Crystal version of that case.. Really nice. I almost want to say the phone's design lends itself perhaps a little too much to having some kind of case. If it wasn't for that, I probably would have gone with the regular S6. I don't regret getting the Edge though.

How annoying is the back film? I've been debating the Spigen, but the horribly cut back film puts me off a lot. That being said, I'm waiting for the Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge Gold, which puts me in the unfortunate position of not being able to test anything out currently.

well, frankly, since I look at the front of the phone more than the back, and when the case is on, you don't see the back that clearly anyways. I't nice the film is there to protect the back from being scuffed by any case, but, I guess you would be fine if you didn't bother with it..

+1 for this case as well. I got the metal slate. It ended up being black rubber but still looks great. The rubber really helps with the grip and the clear back and slim profile really show off the sexiness of the phone.
Speaking of sharp sides, the Spigen Slim Armor has really sharp edges where the TPU meets the plastic. Was using the phone for a couple of hours, and the sides of the case and the cutouts for the ports were digging into and irritating my hands. While the overall form factor is nice (it doesn't thicken the phone too much), I'll be getting another case instead.
Did anyone else have this issue?

What are your favorite cases for the Galaxy S6?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is out and about, we're interested in learning what cases you're after (or currently using) to protect it from damage. It doesn't matter what style — flip cover, full body film, hybrid case or skin case — we want to know your favorites. Following this thread will be our "Best cases for the Galaxy S6 Edge" article that will encompass what our community has deemed worthy above the rest, so share your opinions because they matter!
Pelican Protector Case
I have the Pelican protector case specifically made for the S6 edge. While both the Pelican S6 and S6 edge cases fit my phone, the S6 case covered part of the edge notifications. The Pelican case is solid and lightweight, and most importantly, after a couple drops, my phone remains intact.
Does it reduce the mobile signal?
I like the Spigen Rugged Armor the most. Thin and has a nice feel in hand.
Spigen neo hybrid is great! I had the official samsung clear case which was nice but offered very little protection! The neo hybrid is great looking (some people may find it even adds to how the phone looks) Cut outs are done to perfection. Buttons work flawlessly despite being covered. It fits snug and feels solid as well! I honestly NEVER leave a case on . Anytime i buy a new phone i always buy a case and within a week i take it off because i just don't like the feel, the look , the bulk etc This is the first case i have ever bought that iam happy to leave on
im using this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Galaxy-S6-E...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item2ede69779b
and its really really good. i have dropped its 3 times, and nothing happend. really good product by spigen.

Obliq Slim Meta Case
I am currently using the obliq slim meta case. Its relatively inexpensive $15 on amazon and it arrived in less than 4 days (im located in southern california; LA to be specific).
Its not so much for protection against drops but I love it because it protects that AWFUL camera hump and the lip on the front edge protects the screen if i were to place it face down.
super stylish as well. I cant post a link to it because i am a new member but its easy to find on amazon

Thinnest case

What is the thinnest case out? I don't necessarily like cases...just want something as thin as possible for scratch protection.
Rinkge Slim is probably the thinnest. It fits VERY well and is about as minimal as it gets. I really like it.
However, I switched to a TPU case because I can be a bit clumsy and needed more protection from drops on pavement.
If you just want scratch protection then a skin is the way to go.

I have this one and have had it on past phones and I felt it made the 5x quite a bit bigger for a "thin" case. Maybe because its designed to fit flush with the camera and since the camera protrudes out, it the case does too.

I've heard a lot about this one... Also the Nillkin Nature case keeps coming up, too, and lists itself as .66mm thick. That's a pretty slim case, and would be far thinner than my Cimo tpu case. I'm probably going to order both the Nillkin and Lg Hardshell and see which one is best. I like that the Nillkin comes in clear and smoked options, too, instead of just solid colors. Haven't been able to confirm that option on the LG case since it doesn't appear for sale in the US just yet.

IMO the Ringke and Spigen "slim" cases look like Otterboxes in comparison to the LG Snap On, that one is basically like a hard skin. The quicksand cases are similar to those in thickness.

How thin is the Nilkin? I don't see it advertised. The LG Snap On is advertised at 0.75mm but we don't know at which point of the case they measured.
The Nilkin is a gel case, or "condom" case as I like to call them. They are thin but that's about all they have going for them.

The nillkin is advertised at. 0.6mm. Not much for rugged protection, I suppose, but should be nice for some coverage without added bulk. Mine just shipped (from somewhere in east Asia) and should be here in about 2 weeks. Will keep y'all posted.
The Lg case has a s light inward curve to it so it's hard to get measurements. After trying multiple angles the thinnest I got was .80, that's coming straight up from the bottom.
Diztronic hands down

I've got my Nillkin Nture TPU case. It's awesome! I don't have pics yet, but will try getting some for y'all when possible. In short, it's amazingly thin for TPU, adding minimal bulk. This is far superior and much thinner than my Cimo TPU case. It's not going to offer much drop protection, but I'm not too concerned about that. Plus it'll certainly prevent scratches. It also has a slight raised edge at the bezel so you can set the phone screen-down on a flat surface and the screen won't touch, but the added bonus here is that since its such a thin case, the offset is minimal which makes it MUCH easier to swipe left-to-right (for example to open an app menu or Google Now) than thicker TPU caes (which can often make it hard to touch the edge of the screen.
Anyway, I'm really happy about this case. It does had small flaps that cover and plug the charging alot and headphone jack, which I waver between liking and disliking. However, those could easily be cut off if wanted. Anyway, easily the best $10 I've ever spent on a case.

Yup, the white is actually clear. That's the one I bought.
My Nillkin is on its way from China. I'm excited to get it. I'm using the Ringke Fusion right now and I think the profile is slim along the edges but the extra thickness is killing me.
With the Nillkin should I look into getting a screen protector for the camera lens or does the case lip around the camera keep it from touching the surface?

Zagg HD friendly case

After searching for a good screen protector I've settled on the zagg HD. I have the spigen slim fit case being delivered tomorrow but are there any other cases that will work with it that offer full cover protection( slim fit leaves the buttons exposed)? Appreciate any help. Thanks
The thin fit one like ringke slim, spigen thin fit and the official Samsung clear case are the only ones I was able to use with the zagg hd. Yes the buttons are exposed on the spigen thin fit.
Seidio Surface, VRS Layered Dandy, VRS Damda Clip, and the Caseology Series (Provided you aligned the protector very well, e.g. it's not on one side more than the other).
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
For some weird reason I went into an Amazon trance and bought more than 10 cases for the S7 Edge, and I also have a Zagg HD Dry on my phone.
Echo the notion that the Caseology Envoy case won't lift a properly applied HD Dry. Also the Obliq Flex Pro caused me no issue. Of the two, I'd give the slight protection edge (heh) to the Obliq. The Case-Mate Naked Tough also did not intrude on the screen-protector, but I rate that case at minimal protection and more for style.
The following cases did mess with the corners of my Zagg, which I have subsequently mitigated by carefully trimming the film away from the very ends of the top two corners.
Speck Candy Shell Grip
Spigen Crystal Shell
Spigen Tough Armor
(All awesome cases, BTW)
A couple more extreme-protection cases were split with respect to this; the i-Blason Prime Dual Layer Holster case will interfere with it, and the (Supcase branded) big-brother the Unicorn Beetle Pro - with it's front bezel design - is the best here, appearing not to cause even a full-coverage (not trimmed) Zagg to peel on the phone, as I tested it with my wife's fully intact Zagg HD Dry.
Just my anecdotal observations on the topic.

I have the ringke fusion and the edge of the case doesn't even make to the edge of the screen and the has really good flaps that cover/insert into the power and headphone jacks. Its perfect for a screen protector and it comes with a slim screen protector for the back so the is none of the wierd bubble effect that some clear cases make.
Got the obliq flex pro today and it works great with the zagg HD. I'm happy for now as the phone is now fully covered.

Best Thin Cases

Has anyone tried some new thin cases? The Note 8 is a slim sexy phone. It sucks to put it in a thick bulky case. Show us what y'all have in thin cases.
I bought these 3
The first one was from Best Buy and I like it alot and its the one I use the most. Nothing fancy just a thin case TPU soft in the hands.
The second one I got off of eBay it's blue with a clear acrylic back. Don't get that one the cut out for the finger print scanner is to small. I cut it out some more to make it work. It's a ok case if you don't mind cutting it yourself.
The third one is from Ghostek it's 40 dollars it has a aluminum frame and a acrylic clear back. It's still a little thick for me but a damn well built case. I did not even use it I am going to sell this one.

I personally prefer the thin fit from spigen
It has a nice slightly rubberised hard finish and the case itself keeps the phone feeling nice and thin

It has a nice slightly rubberised hard finish and the case itself keeps the phone feeling nice and thin
Supports spigen screen protector and the awful glass one I've tried... I'm going to plunge and buy the dome glass protector so here's hoping that fits too

It fits with dome glass. Just got done installing mine. Lots of room.
I just bought like 3 more cases. When they get in I will tell yall about them. I have never bought as many cases for a phone in my life. I have been using my phone today without a case. Man it feels good to use this phone without a case. But I know one drop its gone. Also if you keep putting it down the back will get scratched up.

Has anyone tried some new thin cases? The Note 8 is a slim sexy phone. It sucks to put it in a thick bulky case. Show us what y'all have in thin cases.

Otterbox symmetry. The best and slim.

Ok here is two more that came in today. Both are so so.
The first on I got off of ebay. They made it sound like the end caps were metal. Which they are not they are cheap looking plastic. But it's ok
The second one I got from Amazon. I like it but don't think it has much drop protection. Thin thin thin.
I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid, I am very happy with it so far. The tpu layer is stiffer than most tpu layers I've used before, which feels nice, and the metal trim, while thin and a bit more pliant than I would prefer, looks great. Fortunately I haven't dropped it, but it feels like it would survive most reasonable falls. It's much thinner than my wife's otter box commuter and only $15 on amazon.
I got the Spigen ultra hybrid crystal clear case, and I live it. Have bought these before, they don't yellow and last a long time. Great for letting my dbrand Dragon skin show !!
