Hello. As some of you have seen recently on XDA News, Samsung has released a new Advanced UI called Good Lock.
Can anybody extract the APK, or port it to the Edge+?

I tried that link on my s6 edge and it would come up saying it had trouble parsing the file. Any way to fix it or get it to work?

works for me , audax rom .

Working for me. I'm in regular Marshmallow stock.
Still trying to decide if cool and useful or just eye candy useless feature... What about you guys?

Works great....the theme is ugly as hell though. Breaks all statusbar mods, removes dropdown theme...
I love the features, but I don't think I can live with it until someone bakes it into a ROM and makes it theme-able...

Cool! Works fine with Stock 6.0.1

there is a way for change icons status bar in MM ??? (wifi, signal, battery) NO 3MINIT !!!

It works
Now it's not possible directly open the camera app (if you're using a screen lock like fingerprint).
But it looks great !

True. Completely agree.
Strange, since this is done by Samsung that it won't inherit theme settings.
For now I'm trying to "copy" the theme while changing the colors - It looks ok, and I really like the possibility to add widgets to the lockscreen (even having to swipe down to access it). The lost of quick accessing the camera is a drawback

CM10/AOKP Icons Only Themes?

Hi everyone,
I've been searching around for a bit, and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of any CM10/AOKP theme engine themes that only change icons? I Like the look of stock Jellybean, but I don't really like the stock icons. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Just use an alternative launcher like Nova or Apex and then look for themes for those.

Yeah I can do that, but that doesn't help when app icons show up in places such as Recent Apps or Lockscreen Targets. I'd like the icons to be changed at the system level, not the launcher level.
*bump*
Anyone?
This is interesting. Bump indeed.
I've spent the whole evening looking for exactly this. Bump.
I think there's a real market for this. I would even pay $.99 on the Play Store for a Sense Icons theme. Or Touchwiz 4. Or some kind of Miui-like icons. Really, I'd love it if there were several options of this type...any themers out there feel like going into this?

I would love to have the Sense 4 icons...like the ones in this Apex theme. I don't know where you'd find the icons though...
I use a Galaxy S2, so HDPI. Does it matter though? Other CM10/AOKP themes work for both...
I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just trying to understand. If I'm wrong, please tell me!
I know it matters for a lot of graphical elements in the UI, but I don't think it'll make any difference if we're talking about just icons. I've used several themes built for XHDPI devices on my S2, and what happens is this: I get an error that says, "Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size." I click the Apply Anyway option, and then everything works fine.
Thanks for doing this, by the way! You're a life saver.
U will need to make icon packs urself or changed each apk icons one by one for each app u installed if u have root... no icon pack in market will change all icons for the all apps installed as there are millions of apps... With launchers u can just change home icons not appdrawer....
You can use a program like themeX to extract the icons to speed it up a bit. Also I have made icons if you want any help.

Bummer, I downloaded and installed it, but it errors out when I try to apply it. "This theme was improperly compiled and cannot be applied. Please report this incident to the theme author."

I got them from a theme template.
Generally, for system apps, you need to extract them and decompile them and then look into androidmanifest.XML. but for downloaded apps, the process name is shown as the app name in data/app.

Can you explain how you compiled a icon only theme? I'd really like to know how 'cause I'm also looking for the same thing or instructions.

I'd actually like to do it myself because I want to learn how to do make icon only theme. Will the way you do it, work for XHDPI?
Alright, I found a guide that helped me compile and decompile using apktool and managed to make a theme. One question: when i delete an xml or edit an xml, it won't compile. how can i fix this?
m1l4droid said:
Delete public.XML from res/values. It will regenerate automatically after compiling.

Also be careful what you edit in the xml. It will throw out errors if you reference something that is not there and not compile.

Add drop shadow to Icons on Home Screen.

I think you guys will find this one useful ...
I decided to make an App to easily add drop shadows to Home Screen icons (I personally wanted a similar effect to TouchWiz on Nova launcher).
Please feel free to download and offer your thoughts - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.quickdoc.shadowicon
Main features are:
1. Custom define your shadow settings
2. Icons work on any launcher (including default Android)
3. Once settings defined, simply press Create Icon to add it to your Home Screen
4. Support for icons from 3rd party Icon Packs
I quite like this ...Great Job. If I could try the full version .5 stars on your Job .Awesome

Full version? You mean the one that supports Icon Packs?
I really like it but it would make my life easier if you could allow one to select an image and open it through the app visa share option. Please consider implanting this.

I purchased the pro but soon discovered it only opens by default the designated icon in a pack for the app you choose. Selecting alternates from packs isn't an option.

Overlays?

Just wondering if anyone is working on overlays for skinning and theming various elements of the Note8's UI. I'm particularly interested in a shorter navbar height, and I tried applying the ones posted in the S8+ Themes forum, but they don't work for this device. Thanks in advance.

So far just the status bar partially themed (center clock), quick settings panel icons only. Nothing with Swift or balance. Of system UI. I sent error logs to the Telegram group in hopes they get things sorted out.

My only gripe with substratrum on samsung is I have to disable the theme i got from the samsung theme store. I actually found one i like but since those don't theme 3rd party apps, I was hoping substratum could take care of those. Either way, I'm SOL
