Would you care to maybe do a nice C5 corvette logo type one?
the logo looks like this.
Nice work BTW, how do you make these?
I'd be forever grateful
Dave

I download videos then convert them to individual frames :good:

Ahh so it has to be a video prior? Where do you find these videos? I've looked long and hard for animations of corvette logos w/o luck.
**EDIT**
I was able to take a movie and convert it to a bootanimation file using lucky boot animator and it works great, thanks
Dave

Yeah, I'm struggling to find one too. I suppose if push comes to shove I will just have to make one myself :crying:

You certainly don't need to waste your time on my project unless you're bored. So you have an app to break down an mpg, mp4, etc into png files?
Dave

Do you know if there is a max FPS on these? I went ahead and tried to speed up a video to 75 FPS from 30 which has provided unfavorable results. Not sure if it's because of the FPT or not.
Thanks
Dave

Try using about 15 when converting from video to jpg or png then when creating the actual animation bump it up to 30 or 40. That way you will actually create a lot less images (keeping down the size). I've gone up to 40 with no problems, not actually tried higher.

Is there any benefit of splitting my video into a part 0 and part 1? As of now it's just a part 0 and it seems fine. I just wish I could play it a bit faster to fit the entire thing in before the unit boots. When raising FPS above 30 it seems to act weird.

I always use 2 parts and usually work it so the 2nd part will loop until the unit starts, making it look seamless.

my video is so long anyway that that is not an issue. I need to find a shorter one maybe.

I can slow it down a bit but those pistons are going like the clappers, just like a Corvette pistons should be going
These would be the 2 parts, part0 doesn't loop, part1 then loops but when it's loading you wouldn't notice the split. I've split it and created 2 gif's mainly to show you part1 loop.

[Updated]Custom Boot Animations - Now works on Froyo or GB - Requests Welcomed

So shaolin95 started this off when he asked for a spinning Penguins logo for his boot animation and I guess I got a little carried away. Here's all the animations that I've made since then. This list will continue to grow as I make more animations. Now, on to the animations...
All of the animations are CWM flashable, updated with edify scripts and will work on Froyo or Gingerbread. Just copy to your SD card and flash with CWM. Links for each animation is under the preview.
Mods to animations created by someone else are now on the 2nd post and spinner animations are now on the 3rd post. This first post will be strictly for animations created by me.

Again, I do take requests for animations so if there's something you want feel free to post it and I'll see what I can come up with. Doesn't need to be a spinning logo.
As always, donations are appreciated.
Custom mod to the Continuum boot animation with matching shutdown. Credit to icezar1 for the ROM and Verysafety for the original animation. All I did was mod the tail end.

Look who it is...my good friend X!
How's it going? Did ya get my comment? Loving 2.8.
i am fairly new to installing custom roms and such. Serendipity was picked up at 5.12 and have stuck with it to the current 6.3, changed to Bluendipity. Personally, i liked their little Android drawing opening animation previously. but such is life.
Will this work with The Serendipity ROM? what will be replaced? I am looking very hard at the Bio-hazard opening animation. Would that replace the ATT(bs) start up? Would love for that to disappear completely(is that possible at all?), I already know who my carrier is, lol. Or will this start up animation replace the Bluendipity start up animation? Personally i find it bland to say the least.
Last but now least, if these opening animations will work with The Serendipity Suite, could you please specify why ROMs this will work with.
A request if this will Work with the Serendipity ROM, could you alter the Green Bio-hazard animation to a blue themed Bio-hazard animation?
I thank you for any assistance on this. And your work so far looks great, these are the things I believe we need for our custom ROMs to add that extra flavor.
Awesome work man! Do you think you could do a University of Kentucky basketball one? Like the one on my avatar!
(Dj) Tiesto... please if possible "traffic" a song by him as boot sound.... please

(FAQ) Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: My boot animation package came with an "android_audio.mp3" file! What is that and were i put it?
A: I added it to all packages. Some custom ROM's support audio on boot animation play. Just copy the ".mp3" file to the same place were "bootanimation.zip" is.
Q: I can't see the full animation. It stops in a black screen before it finishes!
A: All phones boot at different speeds. I will add different packages with different speeds.
Q: The package has 30fps written on it! What does it mean?
A: It means 30 frames per second. The higher the FPS the faster the animation runs.
Q: When i boot my phone i only see a black screen or the stock bootanimation!
A: The files might be in a wrong location and/or file permissions might need to be changed.
Q: What software do you use to make boot animations?
A: I use good old Notepad and Paintbrush.
Q: What is the font that you use?
A: The font is called "Fixedsys"

NEW: Samsung Galaxy S3 Sprint | Phoenix BIOS + BSOD
Hi there
Just finished the new boot animation for Samsung Galaxy S3 Sprint (SPH-L710) "American version"
I don't know how many seconds it takes to boot into android, so if you see that the animation is interrupted, please tell me in which frame it happens.
Be aware that if you have "Fast boot" selected in device settings, it will boot way faster and animation will not finish properly.
*SGS3 preview
Enjoy

Thank you so much! I'm having a hard time getting the animation to stick, though; I unzipped the .rar to "bootanimation.zip" and put that in the /system/media folder but I'm just getting the stock Android boot animation (not the CM9/10 animation).
I may be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what
EDIT: I just had to change the permissions to match the original boot animation .zip. The animation is scaled too small; there is a large, black, rectangular frame around the animation. The animation also ends by going to a black screen right before showing the blue Android screen.

You are currently running 55 fps version
Try the 70 fps or the 90 fps versions. It might work good on your phone.
Send me feedback on which one works best for you... Thanks...
90 and 110 work great, but the blue screen only flashes and then goes to black, but that's because the animation runs out of frames.
Otherwise, great work! You may want to post this in the Spring Galaxy S 3 “Themes and Apps" forums so more people can use this.
Thank you!

EDIT:
I repacked the files and reduced the last frame time.... try again please

Nope, same problem... very strange. I made sure the permissions were set the same as the original boot animation.

Cool
This will satisfy my flashing urges for a bit longer.
Thanks for your support.
work like a charm Thx :good:
more info
with pleasure, small update to remove the three applications that must be installed as shown in the first post
Been running for a few hours on faux's 1.3GHz 24 r2 kernel and VM Heap set to 256m. It's running great for me.
So nice to have a new GB build, rather than a non working 4.2 build (for me).
Thanks

Thank you, yes the Faux kernel works fine I put a link in the post 2
Thank you, I've just installed the rom and aparently I don't have any problem, but, in fact I've just found one or two:
1. You tube isn't working, when I play some video I get the notice that it can't be played, push to try again and never.
2. In music player the sound is not working, I haven't selected a tone but I've listened several to assign one and all are played and listened, but the music in my sdcard simply plays but not even in the max volume can hear a thing, do you have any ideas?
I'd like to try this rom, but this are little problems that are disturbing me, any way thanks for the work.
Greetings

Confirmed, YouTube errors out. Music is working fine for me also.
So far, I'm at 75% battery after 10 hours, with light usage, but with BT and WiFi enabled and WiFi connected to a fair signal. Its about the best I've seen from the Atrix, and I'm running the faux 1.3GHz kernel.

Just had to share this,as I nearly got 47 hours out of one charge. It was light use with about 2 hours of podcast listening, wifi always on, a few short calls and Facebook running.
Its the longest my Atrix has ever lasted on one charge.

the boot logo and animation are bad choices, to say the least. why htc? what's wrong with xolo?
and, unfortunately, 'settings fc' when i try to go into brightness. bad start for me.
that apart, my first impression is that it's not as good/smooth/stable as gamer rom v1.
i just hope for a similarly good job with gamer v3, although i can't see how v3 is better than v1.
like i always say, too much of bells & whistles makes a mess always. sorry!

The last but best James Rom ever made for your Desire 500!
Finally i switched to a Samsung Galaxy S5, so i had some time to work on a last Desire 500 Rom, because now it isn't my daily phone anymore, so i wouldn't have problems if the phone didn't work properly. But this rom works fantastic! Its so minimalistic, ultra smooth, its...its just perfect for your Desire 500 !
Here is a list of the changes to the rom :
-Replaced the FULL HTC SENSE launcher with MiLauncher (less ram consumption, nicer and much smoother)
---AFTER THE FIRST BOOT YOU HAVE MORE THAN 400MB FREE RAM AND MORE THAN 1GB FREE SPACE ON YOUR PHONE!!
-Black-coloured HTC Sense Keyboard
--Removed Keyboard languages, click here to get them back
-Redesigned some parts of the Music App.
-arkayNine Booster 3.2
-Removed replaceable HTC Apps like Weather, Calendar and so on.. just download newer and much better apps from Play Store
-Cleaned the whole system folder
Phone, messaging, gallery, settings, browser and camera are the only (HTC) Apps left.
Try it and fall in love with the newest James Rom.
