Phone Stuck in Bootloop After Dead Battery - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I gave up and called T-Mobile. They're sending me a replacement next-day air. Should I try to re-lock this one?
So a bit of background. I was running unlocked the latest stock 6.0.1 without root or custom kernels etc.
Last night I noticed my battery indicator was orange but my phone never entered battery saver. Went into battery saver to turn it back on; the toggle didn't work. I figure that's weird, but a reboot should fix it. I attempt reboot my device. It has been stuck in a bootloop since (at the dots animation). After giving up on it, I left it to charge overnight off (just incase it was some weird low battery thing). Try again this morning and still no luck.
Troubleshooting
Booted into stock recovery; wiped cache. No luck.
I snagged the latest images from Google and flashed boot and system. No luck.
I booted into stock recovery; wiped cache. No luck.
Downloaded TWRP and used the 'boot' command to boot into it without flashing. Used that to backup the contents of my internal storage.
Booted back into stock recovery. Did a factory rest and wiped cache. No luck.
I flashed the full image (radio, bootloader, boot, system, userdata, cache, recovery). No Luck.

Booted into stock recovery. Did a factory rest and wiped cache. No luck.
I flashed the full image (radio, bootloader, boot, system, userdata, cache, recovery)(thinking maybe I missed an image last time). No Luck.
edit2:
Fastboot erased userdata and cache. No luck.
edit3:
Fastboot formatted userdata and cache. No luck.
Booted into stock recovery. Did a factory rest and wiped cache. (figured that might initialize the partitions if they were left blank)No luck.
Used the 'boot' command to boot into TWRP without flashing. Wiped /data, /cache, and dalvik cache in TWRP No luck.
I always gave it at least 5 minutes (once as long as 40 minutes) of booting before moving on to the next step. As you can see, I'm long past trying to preserve anything, I just want a useable phone again.
Edit: also weird. I can only turn the phone off via bootloader > power off. Holding the power button always causes a reboot instead of a power off.

Wait a minute... nobody's answered this?? I'm stuck in the EXACT SAME situation. The N6 was running a ROM AOK forever and once I tried powering it on after allowing it to completely drain its battery... NO LUCK
Were you able to get your unit working again? Does anyone have any idea outside what's in the OP?

Did you flash all partitions separately and erase command and then format? Are you using an official Nexus 6 cable?

I've flash each partition individually with 71.18 BL Stock & 71.21 BL N Preview Stock to no avail.
Mixing 71.18 & 71.21 Roms brought about a SeLinux issue but that was solved by getting the BLs and their appropriate Roms right.
Now I'm running into an odd sensor failure in my LogCat that I can't get around:

I've flash each partition individually with 71.18 BL Stock & 71.21 BL N Preview Stock to no avail.
Mixing 71.18 & 71.21 Roms brought about a SeLinux issue but that was solved by getting the BLs and their appropriate Roms right.
Now I'm running into an odd sensor failure in my LogCat that I can't get around:

Hardware. Are you using an official fastboot cable? Did you flash the binaries of the sensor drivers?

Since you're the 2nd to mention USB cable quality, I'll address that:
I have my OEM Turbo Charger and I'm sure I still have the OEM Cable that came with it, but I'm currently using an Amazon Basic Branded 5ft replacement to one my cat devoured. Since it seems that Cable Matters, I'll wrangle the one's I have with me when the Sun's is up.
The Immediate Worse Case S:
I'll have to wait until I return home Monday if none of the cables with me are The One*.
Flash Binaries of Sensor Drivers:

[SOLVED] Bootloop with Major Sensor Failure
After looking into physical things like cable quality and low-level drivers provided to ROM bakers (neither were my particulate issue), I pieced together a diagnosis and resolution that worked for me:
Validating my /persist partition OR Creating a new ext4 one if it's curruptI dropped to TWRP v3 recovery, opened an ADB Shell and checked which partitions were automatically mounted. Alas, /persist wasn't there... it was gone, baby, gone! So I tried to recover it using
Code:
e2fsck /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist
Which resulted in a Bad Superblock with no backups. Using an alternate Superblock (ie. e2fsck -b 8197) also failed. So I crossed fingers that my N6 retained specs about how /persist should be and created a fresh ext4 version
Code:
make_ext4fs /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist
That solved (nearly) everything. I was able to watch live logcat as my N6 successfully booted into 6.0.1 MM again. Everything seems AOK so far, but it's late and I'm about to crash. When the Sun's up again, I'll test it and post once more.

Well. SDK installed, dmseg and 2 logcat after browser and system crash (not complete reboot)
Situation before crash:
new installation of official cm-10.1-20130606-NIGHTLY-p1 after a new GB restock
no gapps installed
no other apps over the original inluded on CM distributions
3g data connection and wifi enabled
nothing else.......
Browser crash every minutes and is unusable.
Tablet run smooth with 2.3.3 stock rom, so there aren't hardware problems.....
At same times I read from a lot of users that runs CM without probmens but my P1000 crash on all CM distributions.
Any idea?

App craches on AlertDialog .show()

Hello there!
I'm building an app but whenever it comes to the AlertDialog .show() it chrashes. I've reserached but couldn't find any solution.
Most of them were got their problem fixed by changing Context on
AlertDialog.Builder example = new AlertDialog.Builder(Context)
to
AlertDialog.Builder example = new AlertDialog.Builder(MyActivity.this);
But that's not my case, I've beeing using MyActivity.this all long and still crashes.
Here's my code:
ublic class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
Button btMudaTela;
final Funcoes funcao = new Funcoes();
@override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
Button btMudaTela = (Button) findViewById(R.id.btMudaTela);
//Ao clicar no botão outra activity será aberta (ActivityCadastro)
btMudaTela.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@override
public void onClick(View v) {
AlertDialog.Builder adb = new AlertDialog.Builder(MainActivity.this);
adb.setTitle("teste");
adb.setMessage("ok");
adb.show();
funcao.mudaActivity(MainActivity.this, ActivityCadastro.class);
finish();
}
});
}
}
And here's my Logcat:

Yeah!!!! After 2 days of digging on the Internet I finally found solution here:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions...der-when-android-suport-library-updated-to-24
You need to import this for your AlertDialog:
Code:
import android.app.AlertDialog;
instead of this:
Code:
import android.support.v7.app.AlertDialog;

Strange problem with supersu

The problem
situation1:
- SuperSU app is active on the foreground
- When I su from adb shell i get the confirmation prompt and get root without any problems
situation2:
- SuperSU app is not running
- When I su from adb shell
sometimes it keeps waiting indefinite but SuperSU. app never starts and therefore never asks confirmation.
other times it works like expected
situation3
- SuperSU app is not running
- Start rootexplorer it waits indefinite (super supersu app never starts)
- If i manually start SuperSU then it sometimes ask for permission for rootexplorer
Device & Rooting info
DEVICE: wiko sunny2 [v2510]
OS: Android 6.0 [MRA58K]

Questions/Remarks
It looks like app_process (app_process32) is started in the wrong context
Any hints or tips on how to proceed ?
Reflashed stock and twrp and installed SuperSU the classic way (on /system)
Now everything works as expected

[MOD] Camera supporting 60FPS 120FPS

About:
This is a modification of the LineageOS camera wrapper, Snapdragon Camera app, libstagefright, and media profiles to allow recording video at 60FPS and 120FPS with stereo audio at 256kbps, also allows recording files over 4GB (the selected storage filesystem must support files larger than 4GB), and the ability to change AV bitrates/codecs on the fly. Album preference has been added in 1.3.

Known Bugs:
Camera name becomes assigned to a different resource ID on Android 9 and below. Android 10 does not have this issue.
On certain devices, front camera does not load or fails to save pictures.
1.2 Q is not parsing Snaps external storage, the files exist but they will not appear in the Gallery. In 1.3 this is fixed.
Android 9 still has the sdcard deletion bug.. if you do your own builds you can fix it with the commits below:
https://github.com/tomm1e/android_vendor_lineage/commit/6ad07dee60e26bdf88d9ac07face4d7a0fbe5610
https://github.com/tomm1e/android_p...mmit/7cad0838a254f6422343d17d5a578d2e09382359
https://github.com/LineageOS/android_frameworks_base/commit/c3f4b30d8e15228a12ca6bd1f4037d5c69dda6ea
Notes:
To access the Advanced camera preferences in Snap, tap the "Bright screen" preference until it enables.
Bitrates can be changed in media_profiles.xml. To reload them, clear the camera out of recent apps.
O+ users should force rebuild of dalvik cache after installing or upgrading: adb shell cmd package compile -m speed -f org.lineageos.snap
P and below should clear Data after upgrading so the Camera name does not get reassigned.

Ok, that error comes from a request to LineageOS 15.1 resources, I removed that request and recompiled it, try this version:

G900F AEX v5.6 works like a charm ,test video record 720p/120fps slow motion ,perfect .
The Camera name changed to "enable" ,can you change to default name "Camera".
Thanks ! :good:
Edit :screenshot is set to 1080p ,just to show the active slow motion FPS .

Awesome, does the High Speed work as well?
I'll look into that app name problem
Tested on lineage 15.1 klte build (SM-G900P model)
Everything works well, one bug i noticed was it doesn't work without flash, its not concerning but I'd like to point it out as a bug.
But I'd like to personally thank you so much for working on this mod as 60fps recording was one of the reasons I switched back and forth from AOSP to stock as I use this feature alot, I'm happy to know awesome devs like you are finally working on this, I wish you all the best with this project and I will keep testing and report back accordingly

Thank you!
With flash or without? I noticed it turned the torch off once recording starts, for now I made it so torch turns back on if it was set. New links in the OP. More changes are needed to properly switch into 60FPS after selecting it from the menu, that way the torch won't turn off.

Yes ,high speed work as well.
Camera name is not a problem ,just a suggestion.

Ok, that error comes from a request to LineageOS 15.1 resources, I removed that request and recompiled it, try this version:

Thanks, big biproject.
Does the front camera work?
I have not worked in my klte.
Using a KTLE S5. The front camera doesn't work instead the camera app crashes. Highspeed and Slow-mo both seemed to working great. Would love to see the front camera get fixed. Thanks

Installed it this morning, works great now thank you, even the front camera works regardless as well.
So, whats the difference between the LOS and Others?? What am asking is, which one should i install in example, Resurrection Remix?? Sorry if its a dumb question, i just thought since RR is based on LOS......
Also, what are the exact bugs?

I'm not sure if RR uses lineageos resource names, if LOS doesn't work the Others one should work. Only difference in those LOS versions is that Snap requests a resource from LOS configuration during startup, specifically which hardware keys are present for the camera, like home/back/menu, those will crash if you are not on lineageos. Others just keep a default hardware key set so no crash should happen in any android. Future versions will just handle the error, it will go back to one release if it still works across all android builds.
Bugs? Nothing major, currently the flash/torch has to restart when switching into 60fps. Maybe there should be a preference to keep the camera displaying 60fps while recording or not, to save battery. Trying to rewrite the wrapper to do this currently. Some say their front camera isn't working but I think that is only for certain variants, I need their logs to see what's going on.
On my S5 G9008W (kltechnduo), with LOS 15.1, this just makes snap crash.
