Which MM Rom Can I flash?? Asking from a N920W8 user. - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA community,
I have a really stupid question to ask here: which marshmallow rom can I flash to my Canadian variant Note 5 (Rogers)?
I have learned that all the Canadian Carriers offer the same variant Note 5 - N920W8 (could someone help confime this ???) and now I am really confused about MM update since not many roms specify our variant.
I really want to get updated to MM since it offers Doze and app permission control which will improve this phone's poor battery life.....
Also, where can I download the official MM rom??
Thanks in advance!!!

My guess is we're waiting. I know many have said ROMs are safe for T-Mobile models (N920T) as they are similar, but seems we are getting Marshmallow before them do it's a matter of convincing more developers to add the W8 to the list. :/

You need TWRP for your device.
You can flash almost any international ROM, visit one of my ROM threads which have a voice fix which you flash after flashing the ROM.
That voice fix can be used on any international ROM.
Here is the direct link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995315328
Flash the a ROM of your choice then flash this fix. Reboot.
Enjoy.

[Q] Is it possible to root Note 3 now ?

I have stock AT&T 4.4.2 and I posted a topic HERE asking if it is possible to root Note 3 or not?
According to the post HERE, it seems like someone has figure it out to root Note 3.
So, I just want to double check, now can I root my AT&T Note 3 ? and install custom ROM to it ?
That is exactly what the thread you linked to said, so yes, you can do those now...

So, once I root my AT&T Note 3 with Towelroot
What custom ROM I should install ? is there anything available out there ? As there was no way to root Note 3 before with 4.4.2 update, I don't know if there was any ROMs available or not ?
anyone ?
In the spirit of helping out, once you root with Towelroot head on over to the Note 3 development section. There are several KK ROM's . As far as a best one, "we" as a community don't label a single ROM as best. Each developer does their best to supply us with a free product. Certainly some are better, than others. It is left to the user to read and make decisions for themselves.

Thank you Roostercruiser,
I understand there could be several ROM. I am not asking what is "BEST" rom, if you could just direct me to several ROMs option, that would be helpful ? That's all I need !
Here you go.

Is there any cyanogenmot for Note 3 (AT&T) ?
I found this but it does not say if it is for AT&T or not: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hlte
Also, can anyone please give me any link where I can get STOCK AT&T ROM (touch wiz) just in case if I want to go back to stock ROM.
No, there is not a Cyanogenmod ROM for AT&T's locked bootloader on Note 3. Make nandroid of stock version you're already running after you root.
No cyanogen mod for us ... With the locked boot loader we are stuck with Samsung based Roms

Galaxy Note 4 N910W8 No Service After Flashing Custom ROM

No service using Dynamic rom.
Note 4's model number is N910W8 (Qualcomm). After a week of researching I finally learned how to flash custom roms. Thought my troubles were over until My phone wasnt able to pick up a signal from my phone carrier wind mobile. This only happens when I have a custom rom flashed. everything works good as new once i do a Nan recovery. Question is, does anyone know a solution or thread that has solved this problem?
TLDR:
Service wont work with a custom rom that is both N901T/W compatible.
Which rom did you flash? Because depend on the rom usually from N910T, or US variants Note 4, you may need to flash Canadian Signal Fix after you flash custom rom. Otherwise, I would recommend you to flash back to stock for now and may be ask the developers of the custom rom how to fix your issues. Best of luck!

You most likely need to flash the data fix for us W8 users. https://mega.nz/#!PswUWY7T!98pUBiyE1c00VXUJjastf4QfX_2kMnb6T-6-6aeJ8OY

International Version ROM on t mobile Note 4

hi Guys,
I was just curious to know if it is possible to flash international version ROMs on an unlocked t mobile Note 4 910T.
Please advise.
Thanks Guys
Yes, there are several in the development forums. They have to be customized to work, and you lose T-Mobile specific features (WiFi calling), but it is doable.
I've flashed a few from the main Note 4 forums. Just be aware (as last poster mentioned) that you'll lose TMO features. Also, be sure to download a N910T compatible kernel and flash it after you flash the 910F ROM, or else the ROM often won't boot.

Question on T-Mobile note 4 purchase

Haven't had a note in a while and thinking about picking up a note 4. I am with T-Mobile and would purchase the T-Mobile version, I read about different variants and just wanted to make sure they could all be rooted, custom recovery and flashed without issue. In some of the threads here when people have issues, others ask what variant, etc.
Thanks

Get the sm-n910t (t-mobile version). Very mod friendly.

The T-Mobile version comes with the bootloader unlocked out of the box. You can do whatever you want with/to it.
I just purchase a T-Mobile Note 4 on 11/17/15 from one of their store. The model that I got is the SM-N910T3 and not SM-N910T. It comes with Android 5.1.1 installed instead of 4.4.4. You will probably end up with this model. Does anyone know if this variant is still bootloader unlocked? I also read that the TW 5.1.1 rom has root blocking enabled by Samsung, can anyone recommend a custom kernel that can override this to prevent a bootloop?
T is better for ROM Support VS. T3. T3 may be smooother

You want the T version for more ROM compatibility. The T3 version can be rooted and has a few ROMS but supposedly Samsung changed something in the phone so it has alot less ROM support. It does have root and 1 or 2 good ROM's though.
Root for T3
More info on T3

Did you ever end up buying this phone? I have been thinking about picking up a used one on Swappa to use as my daily driver until Samsung releases the S8 or Note 8. I currently have a LG V10 and even though it has an unlocked bootloater and root, there is zero ROM development for it due to issues with LG firmware/drivers.

Advice on installing Custom Rom on SM-G900A & SM-G900V

Hi all,
Im new to this website but not new to installing customs ROM's on phones. Its been a while but i did it years ago on my S3. Also, I know there are probably threads out there already for this so if this is just a redundant question please forward me to the right place b/c i haven't been able to find a clear answer on my own.
So here is my situation. I have a SM-G900A that I requested and unlock code from AT&T for and is now "unlocked" and I am running android 6.0.1. My girlfriend has a SM-G900V that is supposedly been unlocked by verizon and i moved over to my AT&T account and its working fine (with the exception of lack of LTE data). To my understanding it is not possible to flash a custom ROM on either of these if they are on anything post android 5.0 release. Is this true? I have not been able to find any custom ROM build that say they are made for these models and TWRP doesnt have a version specific to these either.
Has anyone successfully put customer ROM's/bootloaders on either of these 2 devices? I have really only used Cyanogenmod in the past and was very happy with it. But all i have seen is that people say that these 2 models are SOL if they have android v.6 on them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Check the link below, the first 4 posts or so have the information on downgrading and rooting. I don't know about the Verizon version, the AT&T version bootloader is completely locked down so we can not flash a custom recovery like twrp. Flashfire works like a charm though. The custom roms are limited and pretty much lollipop variants. There is currently no root or custom Rom for marshmallow.

flashfire gives the error "Please update SuperSU to v.2.40 or newer" which I already have. I tried the older ones 1st and it gives the same error. I am not sure what to think about it except I got it to work before with the exact same files from what I recall. is there another proceedure perhaps?
