Multitasking/RAM - HTC 10 Real Life Review

You're busy and don't have time to wait, which is why you need to stop reading this thread and get back to organizing your Pogs. Rate this thread to express how the HTC 10 performs when multitasking. A higher rating indicates that the HTC 10 keeps many apps in memory so that they don't need to reload, and that when moving between apps, transitions are smooth and performance is excellent.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

How's the memory management on the htc 10?
Maybe someone who used also the the s7 (which still has a bad memory management, apps keep being pushed out from memory) can give us more info?
Thanks!

By Standard settings Boost+ App kills Apps in background to safe memory.
From the official 4gb 3.7gb are available.
Android OS always uses about 880mb of that.

Here are my Apps.
And Chrome is a goddamn memory Eater. Sorted by Peak.
So sometimes Chrome closed certain Tabs (I always have 6-12 Tabs open) to safe memory. Often the Tabs im Streaming Music .... ie Soundcloud or such.
6gb ROM devices do seem like a great idea for heavy Multitaskers.

[DEV]Sense 2.1 possible notifications menu modification.(seeking help)

Ok This idea came to me earlier today, sense 2.1 roms (Speedy ports) have a recently used apps bar in the notifications menu. Well I found a better use for it,
Instead of seeing the app you just closed why not display common everyday apps? e.g. phone, flashlight, facebook, twitter, camera. See that way you don't have to run around your UI to find what you want, It's simply a drag and drop away

The con is this.
Making the apks run in a list and then closing (background) constantly may effect you wanting to see your recently used apps (The one where you just long press home button and it displays) those apps the first 4 or so will be which ever default you have set up. any way I'm seeking some help with this I'm not new but nor am I marinated in sense feature modifying.
Any one interested?
also My current method an apk that opens and closes each app seems to cause issues (obviously) so I'm seeking help in doing the proper system edit to get this Modification up and running.

Fast Reboot

Hey guys (and girls, *cough* if any) I've found a really awesome app which I feel has increased my battery life massively throughout the day. The app's called Fast reboot and it basically simulates a reboot by closing/restarting all core and user processes and thus frees up memory which hence makes your phone feel much snappier. Another thing which helps is you can auto set the reboots to commence when the phone is locked or unlocked, so making the process a hell lot easier(Note, only on paid version). Anyhow I've included a link to the market below.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.greatbytes.fastreboot&feature=more_from_developer#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLmdyZWF0Ynl0ZXMuZmFzdHJlYm9vdCJd
If feeling rather generous you could buy the full version, for the price of a red bull can I rekon it's a bargain.. Well that's what I did anyway.

Why do you ever want to kill all the working processes from inside your android?
Yes, it will make your phone feel much fluent (flash heroDeck and your phone will fly), but in the same time - the program itself will eat a lot of battery due to the cycle: kill all (more CPU required) - android starts processes all over again - kill all (more CPU required) - android starts processes all over again - and so on!
Android its all about multitasking. Personally, I see these programs as a waste of time and space.

[Q] Help me choose ROM

Hello,
I'm new to this phone and I'm looking for some good stock-based 4.1.2 ROM.
As far I have tried those:

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And few more.
But I just can't find non-lagging one.
Every ROM I flash laggs just after boot. What happens?
Even scrolling laggs.
I have checked quadrant scores and it's mostly about 1800-2400. That's too low for such a phone.
Changing CPU governor doesn't help.
For example I've set it to pegasusq and it gave over 4000 score points (WOW),one minute later it gave 2300.
I really don't know what happens.
I have tried using Ultimate ROM and N8XT ROM with all my apps installed, but I even couldn't browse the internet. My old Xperia X10 wasn't even lagging like that. All the background processes closed immediately.
I launched the Titanium Backup to backup all my apps. Then I switched to browser. 25 sec. and it was closed. Titanium Backup closed, launcher too (TSF Shell)
So please, do You maybe know the reason of these laggs, or can You recommend some good ROM (Best if stock based, with multiwindow)
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.

Android Run Time?

Maybe a stupid question, but if its better, why isn't ART set as the default for 4.4+? I just made the switch. 207 apps, conversion time was 12 minutes. I'll post here if I find any of my apps aren't compatible.

Been using ART for a few weeks and I noticed an immediate positive change in responsiveness (placebo?). There are two apps, however, both of which I use often, that are much slower to load on ART than they were with Dalvik enabled; Facebook and the Pulse news reader app. Once opened they are both super slick and not prone to stuttering, they just take a good 2 or 3 seconds to open if I haven't used them recently. I haven't found any apps to force close or flat-out not work.
Sent from my Moto X
I read complaints that video playback stuttered with ART on the x. Both YouTube and gallery. Either of you notice that?

My understanding is that it's currently in beta, so they do not want to make it the default yet.

Never update especially when new phones come out. They are just slowing down the phone so you will be obligated to get new ones.

it may feel that way to you but it's not true.
Nothing much, almost no new functions except the privacy centre and those useless color palletes.
Phone feels laggy if you have animations disabled. The 120Hz while powersave hack no longer works and I miss this menu (OneUI2).
I'm waiting for lineage OS
