SOS! My screen keeps flashing. - Remix Mini General

Greetings,
I have a Remix mini and I'm having problems with it. Every time i boot up into the desktop the screen flashes and then goes dark. I have remix on an hdmi splitter and i removed it and I still get the same problem. No one from JIDE is responding to my emails so I guess I'm on my own. The only thing the screen is showing is the recycling bin. The apps work fine otherwise. I even reformated the drive and started all over and still the same problem.

when did u send an email?

Nick,
We have switched from the old email address ([email protected]) to a brand new help centre. You can submit a request here
Would you please confirm the following information as to process your bug report?
1. Serial Number
2. Build Number
3. Does this issue happens after your Remix Mini has been updated to a specific version of Remix OS?
4. Does the F2 command works?
5. Please test it on a different monitor?

[Q] Upgraded to ICS scrambled graphics on screen (GT-P7310)

Hi,
I received the 8.9 yesterday and was very happy with it. Played with it for an hour and went out for the day.
When I got back home I downloaded and installed Kies on Windows 7, plugged in the tablet and new ROM was detected. Installation was straight forward and no errors, booted up the tablet and ICS was installed no problem.
Logged in via my Google account and updates started etc. The problem is the screen, if the screen goes off and I wake up via the power button the screens graphics are scrambled, you cant read anything. Looks like a spectrum loading screen.
If I hold down the power button to restart the tablet the graphics load up fine, I can use it OK, no graphical problems. If it goes asleep the problem returns (everytime).
I know I did everything properly, no custom roms were installed, programs that were downloaded via play are also used on my S2.
Rang up the online store for a returns but somebody is getting back in contact which could take 48hrs!
Is there something I should of done/could do?
Many thanks,
Mike

[Q] Boot Loop while charging - no charge

Hello, I've had my G Watch R for not quite a full week so far and I've really enjoyed it. Two days ago, I believe that I let the battery die so I placed it on the charger before going to bed. When I woke in the morning i grabbed the watch off the charger without looking at it. Just before i stepped out the door i noticed that it wasn't waking up and It wouldn't even power on. I ran back and slapped it on the charger thinking that it would be more than charged by lunch time. Thats when i noticed the apparent boot issue you can see in the video attached. It hasn't been dropped at all and I have the basic apps installed; facer, watchmaker etc. At this point, Is there anything that I can try short of sending it back?
I've left it on the charger for 24+ hours, it gets slightly warm and stays in the boot loop. As soon as its taken off the charger it has no visible charge and refuses to respond to anything. I purchased it through amazon, so I'm thinking it shouldn't be an issue for me to return it...
http://youtu.be/GgF3iXAhTTI/
Sorry i tried to embed the video but the youtube link for xda seems to be breaking the url somehow
So I have already initiated the return process with amazon and it should be pretty painless. I have almost 3 weeks to send it back, so if anyone has any tips/tricks or ideas I'm more than open to try them....The watch is 100% stock as far as firmware or root is concerned.
Any luck with this? I just got back an RMA for a broken touch sensor, I don't want to have to RMA it again.
try to see if you can get in to the bootloader, and restart the watch from there
i have notice when i charge the watch from empty (so thewatch boots up while charging) it causes problems, usually boot loops as well
I just watched the video (should've done this before hijacking the thread, sorry) and it seems like I'm having a different issue. Instead, mine does the android boot animation, the goes to "Starting Apps" and counting ("x of y Apps"; the y value seems to be different every time), then "Staring Apps" with no count, then it says "Powering Off" and shuts off. But I will post my experience in case someone else with my issue finds this thread.
I'm back up & running today. I got it into the bootloader last night and put it on the charger before I went to sleep (to avoid battery rundown by bootlooping while it charges). I woke up this morning to it bootlooping again. I'm guessing that it restarted itself sometime during the night. I took it off the charger and let it sit for a while (it was pretty warm, so I figured it would be better to let it cool down before trying anything else). I tried to restart it again after about a half hour, but it still only got to "Starting Apps" before shutting off. I reflashed the stock boot, recovery & system images found here: Stock Boot, Recovery and System for G Watch R . I restarted it and completed the initial pairing process (due to wipe when I unlocked it in order to flash system image) and it is now working.
I don't know if what I did actually fixed anything or if it just decided to start working, but I will post again if something happens again. If you don't see any more replies from me, then all is still OK.
EDIT 6/22/15 9:53 pm EDT: No good, see below.
To workaround the bootloop while charging, you can boot into recovery (swipe 10 to 4 a clock while Logo is shown, select and press okay to recovery), than charge battery for a while, after that, you can boot to as normally to AW-system and charge to fully battery!
You can charge with USB on PC, it's work fine for me.

So your gwatch r started doing the same thing again? I have the same problem and it won't connect to the computer via fastboot or adb. How did you get on with the RMA? I cant send mine back due to voided warranty. Still hoping for a solution.
Have you tried taking it off the charger and booting it? Also are you running custom software?

So i took off the back plate, and found that the spring contact pins inside the watch weren't making good connections to the connect points on the inside of the back plate. Be careful, they are fragile, but you want to bend them out slightly. If you can source parts, get a new contact pin module.
After this, i was able to connect my watch and flash over stock firmware.
I can't guarantee this is what is happening with yours, but let us know if it does work.
I've scince broken the screen and can't find where to get parts!

I still haven't found a fix. My charging works fine, but no PC connection. The bootloader/fastboot wont come up, no logo or anything. I'm sure the EMMC chip is fried, it sounds like many are seeing this issue, some with a black screen and some with a snowy screen. I've had several galaxy phones do the exact same so I'm doubting it can be fixed without going to the manufacturer which mine came from redflagdeals and LG wont service the random online store purchases
I had to take the back off and clean and adjust the contacts that make contact through the back panel. Then I could connect via fastboot.

TPdebrick004 Ping Check Issue

My HP Touchpad used to show signs of charging, but it did not respond to anything else, i have tried pressing and holding all kinds of buttons and nothing has worked. I recently tried using tpdebrick 004, and unfortunately it did not properly finish.
http://i.imgur.com/BNyH0Oq.png
i have tried tpdebrick 004 countless times, and it always stops at the same point. I also want to mention when the touchpad is plugged in now, the charging lights on the home button dont light up anymore, after using tpdebrick 004. I just wanna know if I CAN do anything else to save this touchpad, or should i just set the arrangements for a proper burial. You are all invited D=
Disconnect your network card manually before launch script
Had the same issue. I just used Ubuntu 12.04.5 and got it to work.

Well? Did you resurrect it? Here's hoping you did...
I got to remember that disconnect network, I always forget...
Thank you for your responses guys. I disabled both wifi and ethernet and the same error on the screenshot appeared again.
I will download the old version of Ubuntu and try that later...
Ok, i got good news and bad news.
The good news is that lesbehonest was correct, and by running 12.04 ubuntu linux and running tpdebrick from there it works. I also noticed the charging blinking lights came back as before when charging. The bad news is that the touchpad still dead, it keeps charging and shows no signs of booting up.

A2 loses Wi-Fi connection faster than I lose my self-esteem

Here's the problem... I've had the A2 for some time (2 years?) and never had this issue... why? Because my household lived in the Stone Age, and we didn't have 5G...(Hz). What with the whole lockdown thing going on, the folks decided to spring for better internet, which also meant a new router.
EVERYTHING single device, laptops, iPhones, Samsungs.... you name it... everything seems to play ball with the new router...... except the absolute chonker that is the A2... he. just. Doesn't. Like it.
Whenever it connects... it stays on until ANY type of data is transmitted... when it does *poof* the Wi-Fi signal is completely gone... it's impossible to watch a single YouTube video.... it takes a wrist cutting backbreaking amount of time to get the front page to load and select a video... but when it does.... the video will eventually stutter its way to the end (if you're patient enough, which I'm not).
And before you say it... I've tried almost everything - to no effect. I think the only thing left is the right solution (even if it is to throw it in the bin). I've reset the phone, nuked the network settings, reset the router, separate normal and 5G networks, flashed a new ROM, you name it..... AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK.
I'm all out of ideas (aside from smashing this thing with a rock) please help me out!
PS: yeah, even picking up SPECIFICALLY 2.4GHz from the new router, it still doesn't work.
EDIT: forgot the specs
* Mi A2
* Android 10
* lineage jasmine sprout 17.1 200805.001
* router is a TP Link archer XR500v
* (also tested on another 5GHz router which I don't know the name)

I've tried flashing Lineage OS but the problem was still the same.
In this context, "firmware" does not refer to OS/ROM. Assuming you have TWRP, flash this firmware zip as attached in TWRP. This is taken from 4PDA forums, and yes it is safe (per to my personal audit at least).
thanks for uploading this, is this the official firmware update from Xiaomi?
I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know the results
Had this issue since Oreo, it's just "personality" i guess. I also prefer the battery savings when on 2.4GHz.

Yes the files inside are pulled from the official OTA from Xiaomi With the exception of the boot splash. The Android One logo on startup has a dark background instead of light. If this is undesired, do tell as i can repackage with the original white boot splash

Here with some updates. I followed along this tutorial - https://www.thecustomdroid.com/install-twrp-recovery-root-xiaomi-mi-a2-a2-lite/ to the letter .... and I managed to brick my phone ... now it only boots into TWRP
EDIT: I've managed to use "fix recovery boot loop" and it does let me boot android again. Has you've mentioned the logo on startup has a dark background - which seems to be a good indication that I've flashed things as expected. However, unfortunately, the problem still persists. Whenever the phone tries to reach outside (WiFi) it completely shuts down (the WiFi), after a while the connection is reset, but the process repeats itself whenever a connection is required for anything.

Samsung GT-N7000 - The screen goes black after the startup logo

Hi,
A few days ago, I replaced a USB socket on friend's old Samsung Note 1 (GT-N7000). Soldering may not be very professional, but it does the job - the phone is charging and it can connect to the computer.
Today (3 days after replacing the USB) he came back to me with another problem -
after turning on the phone, only the white brand name and model appear at the start and then nothing, a black screen. I think it's turning off. He says he had some problems with the battery in the meantime and the screen was flickering strangely.
He had a custom ROM loaded for a long time that worked normally and worked well on this phone.
Today, despite not starting the system, I was able to enter TWRP recovery and DL mode. However, if I wanted to do anything in recovery (backup, factory reset, etc), the screen turned off. After a few attempts, it stopped going into recovery.
I have restored the original software using Odin and N7000XXLSZ_OXELS7_4.1.2_Repair_Firmware
- still after the white inscriptions at the start, the screen goes black and nothing
- trying to enter recovery, overturned android appears for a moment and the screen goes black
- DL mode works
Maybe someone knows what could have happened and most importantly how to get this phone work? Preferably on some "custom ROM" to have at least Android 7.
I was thinking, I was looking, I was tearing my hair out of my head. I searched half the internet and suddenly stumbled upon this - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...bricked-only-download-mode-available.3096409/
The phone is the same, the problem is the same - the battery is to blame. I immediately called the owner to give all the batteries he has.
OH, OF COURSE! The one I got along with the phone and its problems was the only one that caused all the restarts and errors. After inserting a different battery, the problems were resolved.
All that's left is to clean up Android and the case is closed.
By the way - I have collected in one place the files and information (Polish language only) on how to install NightOwl LineageOS 14.1 Android 7.1.
2 on this phone. If anyone needs this information, please visit here - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1libYpWC4qJbjGJRE1Szf8L3eTdoHPTpE?usp=sharing
