Anyone use headunit app speed volume increase function? - MTCB Android Head Units General

My first sound step is much louder than the one step I have specified. the following steps do appear to be one step up. I have the steps at 40mph, 50, 60, etc. I know it's in KM so I did convert to KPH but that is the speed in MPH as I don't recall the input figures in KPH. If anyone has the same issue and resolved it i'm all ears. If I disable head unit volume increase based on speed I get no other increase so I know there is no other volume control in play here. Maybe there is a newer version than is included in the March Malaysk ROM?
Thanks much,
Dave

Nobody uses this? Is there another app which would increase sound vs. speed?

Ascending Ringtone...?

Is there an app that can make the ringtone volume ascending...?
Thx in advance.
you could probably use a wave editor like audacity to edit your ringtone, then use a fade in effect that would slowly raise the volume to max level
Good idea. Is there an app which will do it automatically on the G1...?
You can check any of the ringtone makers on the market, but I doubt they can do that so you would have to do it for each ringtone.
we need a thread where everyone posts awesome ringtones. I'm getting burnt out on the default ones.

Thanks for the idea... Still think this feature is pretty basic by today's standard and should have been included in Android by now...
Cheers and Happy New Year!
I have never seen this feature stock on anything, nore would I want or use it.

My old samsung phone had it, and I liked it. The phone would start by vibrating then start ringing softly and get progressivly louder. I didn't need to keep changing volume settings if the room was getting louder or softer. That was one of the first things I looked for on my phone when I got it.
I remember an application that changed the ring volume based on ambiant noise, but that's not what you were asking about but could help you in your last situation.

It's been a standard feature of just about every Nokia made in the last 10 years!
Never owned a nokia so....
Motorola Cliq has that option BTW so it can be done. May be someone can port it to G1. I've never used it but sounds like a good option to have.
Cliq is on 1.6, correct...? So it's a custom feature by Moto...?
Is it included in 2.0, 2.0.1 or 2.1...?
Cliq is 1.5, I don't think it's even going to get upgraded to any other versions... yeah Motorola sucks.
You can use Ascending Ringtone App that collected on this package:edited...
MOD Edit: No linking to warez. First and final warning
There's an app in the market called 'Ascending Ringtone' for $.99 that claims to do what you're asking.
@mahdian please remove your post, we do not support warez here.

[Q] Axura Captive 2.4, Voltage Control, One Click Lag Fix

Hi guys,
Just a couple of question that i hope someone here could help answer or point me in the right direction...
[I've searched the forums, and i can't seem to get the answer i'm looking for]
I'm running Axura Captive Edition 2.4 w/Setiron
1) How does voltage control work? is there a guide somewhere i could read up before i start using it?
2) how does setcpu differ from voltage control? Is it possible to run setcpu instead of voltage control? (as i am more familiar with voltage control)
3) Does Axura 2.4 comes with lagfix? What will happen if i try applying the lagfix from the OCLF from the android market? (i tried this with axura 2.2 and it bricked my phone and refused to start till i odin stock)
4) At the moment, i've read that axura already has OCLF - but i'm clocking only 1100+ on quadrant... and averaging 12Mflops on linpak. Is this normal?
5) Any other recommendations?

You set the voltages at each freq. as needed...Each phone is different and what may work for someone else..may not work for you.Start small and work your way up.You can always hit the menu button on that app ...it will link you where you can read and discuss it on the I9000 forum...

Set CPU has it's own parameters it uses...as does voltage control...and NO...you can't just use it...the kernel developer says not to use it..

Yes..and use what comes with it otherwise you may wind up with another brick..

Yes...more research on your part. Get on that thread and search out the support thread for Axura as well...Read up on over-clocking and under-volting...and the different lag fixes...what they are and what they do...While your at it...read up on the different modems..what each can or can't do..
Yes...there's a ton of reading evolved...but..if you don't take the time to go over the material completely..then you will really never understand it. All of your questions have been asked in that thread already...so start at the very beginning of the first page...and read it all...there is a ton of information in it where different issues have been discussed...That's what you need to do...wither or not you do is up to you. This forum also has a great search feature to use...you would be surprised how easy it is to find out all kinds of things about your phone and just about anything ever discussed about it...I know it takes more effort to do it this way...but..once you do..you won't feel like your in the dark about everything when something goes wrong..The folks on that thread are good people..and will help you with most problems..but you really do need to do your part as well..

Boosting Call Volume

Hello, Can someone suggest me some tweak, app to increase call volume. I have to press my ears real hard to the phone to hear folks clearly. I am traveling next week, and wanna make sure I can hear my folks ( vice versa too )
using CM9 with [email protected] # 1 Kernel
checkout either glitch kernel or semaphore kernel. Both have "voodoo sound" implemented which includes a boost in call volume.

tx, so I got semaphone, downloaded voodoo sound..just confused as to what should I set to increase sound? not speakerphone but from earpiece
Well the headphone amplifier setting pushes the speaker over it's stock limit. But I believe the call volume tweak is pre-built into the kernel. If you have a root file explorer, go to etc/init.d/ and there should be a call volume tweak in there.

You're correct. /system/ect/init.d/callvolumehack or something like that. And open and read the info and edit to boost it.

/system/ect/init.d/90call_vol to be exact.
Use root explorer to edit the file, I change all values to 2 and it works good, not too loud, lol, lines in the file to change are:
INCALL_BOOST_EARPIECE=0
INCALL_BOOST_BLUETOOTH=0
INCALL_BOOST_SPEAKER=1
INCALL_BOOST_HEADPHONE=0
Change 0,0,1,0 to 2,2,2,2 then save file and reboot, calls should be nice and loud(er).
Has anyone tried changing values to 3? LOL
Thank you for correcting me. And some people do use 3, they still have a hard time hearing.

you could try new devil kernel! Volume hack is just released in it! And much more!
Could you provide a link to the latest devils kernel? Also doesn't call quality depend on the modem that you are using?

About half way down this page. Make sure you read all of first three posts to get all advantages of this kernel. It is amazing! In regards to modem, call quality yes, but volume no.

Try Samsung service mode
Dial *#*#197328640#*#* press debug the audio and increase value.
What are you looking at shortbus......
Volume tweak sorta works with Semaphore. Here's how - increase volume to 3 in init.d. Then open Voodoo Control and set to +5db. I had to set Voodoo volume to +2db to avoid speaker crackling.
I use volume + which works well. It has a setting to up in call volume, boost speaker volumes, and headset volume. You can download it from the marketplace or you can download the pro version. Hope it helps

Low volume on AOSP custom roms

Hey guys, I just want to ask a quick question about the volume on our GS3 mini. Do you guys notice the speakers to be much quieter when using AOSP roms such as novafusions cm 11 or cm 12? For me, when i use stock roms i get a much louder sound from speaker so i was wondering if any of you guys have this issue.
Yeah but it doesnt really bother me

Thanks for the reply. Do you know any methods like editing the rom or something to increase the volume.
EDIT: i found some info about a file called mixer_paths.xml where you can edit the volume but i couldn't find the file on our GS3 mini. Is there a similar file that do the same thing?

Nova's releases are quite buggy. the have a lot of reason.. but the are stable for daily use.
the "low in call bug" or low earphone volume bug is one of them. but there is a easy work around.
if you call or get called, FIRST press volume down, then up. volume becomes magically +100% xD
peace.

Marshmallow with Kitkat's Output Power

Hello guys. I had posted some months ago my question but all I was suggested was installing mods that I already had tried.
So, my 'problem' is that I find Stock Marshmallow's output(volume and bass) on headphones (3.5 jack) pretty low compared to Stock Kitkat. Especially the bass, it is really, really louder/heavier on Kitkat.
Is there any way to get/move Kitkat's sound enhancements right into Marshmallow?
Thanks in advance, have a happy new year!
The only way to try this would be decrypting the original KitKat files and recode them into MM, though you need some knowledge about how it works for it. As for now, I do not know any way to get back that feature from KK.
Mods are really great in this sort of situation, I myself use the A.R.I.S.E. mod and configured it for my in-ears.

Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of coding etc.. I had tried arise sound mod but the sound was completely distorted(maybe I had installed something wrong, but all I did was install a .zip file and nothing more.)
Edit: could you message me and redirect me to the things you did and worked for you? I think I'll give a try tonight or tomorrow night! Thanks!

Well, installing the .zip is fine, but you ... gotta turn it on, too. When you flashed the zip, a new tool called Viper4Arise pops up in your app list. Open that and configure how you like to. In the app, you can change everything you like (and there's tons of stuff, trust me) but keep in mind to check if the module is active ( [≡] > Driver Status).
As of the settings I've done, I made the for my personal in-earphones (SoundMagic E10). There are things like ViPER-DDC which makes the sound of your head/earphones pretty nice if they're supported, if not, well then you gotta tune it yourself. Might plan to listen to a lot of different music and testing all the settings for your own preferences

Well, I'll maybe give a try and write you back... I didn't really understand whay you said there ' check if the module is active ( [≡] > Driver Status). '
Also, which one of these folders should I open and then, which version(file name) should I download?
I'm on Stock 6.0.1 with any other mod installed.
(yes,i'll make a nandroid backup before installing it)
Thanks in advance
Edit: I installed ViPER4Arise+2.5.0.5 and it worked fine, but still, the sound is quite, compared to Stock KitKat... Even after raising Master Gate (Limiter) to the max (6dB)... I don't know what to do

Then it is probably limited by the ROM itself.. Well you can look up how to create your own custom rom with higher output at the audio jack, but aside from that, I don't have any other ideas how to raise it other than going back to kitkat.
Well the volume is loud enough for me, so sadly I can't help you with this

Exactly, KitKat allowed more output volume than Marshmallow does, I guess....I wish I knew how to increase the output levels and set them just as high as the Stock Kikat are.

I might just randomly found a way to set the volume gain, but you need a unlocked bootloader + elitekernel (or any other) for that.
