Burn in display...warranty? - LG G Watch R

Hello, my display's watch has a burn in issue. Does anybody know if this problem is under warranty? Here you can see a pic of my display.
Thanks.

I had a dead pixel when I bought my watch, sent it in, they repaired it for free after they lost it for 3 weeks.

Dead pixel/stuck pixel on screen

I have received my Z1 last week, everything is fine expect one green stuck pixel on the screen.
I digger a little for Z's screen and it looks like screen with bad pixels is normal but not very common.
Someone else get their phone with bad pixels? Should I get a replacement or keep this one in my hand?
Sorry for my bad english.

Bad luck. So far I haven't seen any bad pixels on my Z1 screen. If you can't live with it, and can get a replacement, you should try it. Chances are you'll get good screen. Unlike the old days, the chances of getting a screen with bad pixels are lower.
Err, what do you reckon. You have bought something with a defect. Yes of course you should send it back

In the old days, 1 or 2 dead pixels was accepted on a monitor, depending on the manufactor and place for the dead pixel...
do anyone know what the limit of dead pixels is for a phone in 2013 ??

My search result before for xperia z is, above 2 will get a replacement or maybe you will stuck with that screen with dead pixel.
I think the only way to fix this is to get it replace.

[Q] Moto G 2nd Gen Yellowish display!

Hello friends i purchased 2nd gen moto g on 25th dec in india from flipkart! I got it delivered on 26th dec. that was really fast! thank you for that flipkart!
But after using it for next 2-3 days i found white pixels on my moto g to be little yellowish! i compared my moto g to my friend's moto g(same model) and his phone is perfectly fine! i tried digging for the solution on internet and i found out that some other people also complain about the same! they also said that the replacement unit is also same! Is there anyone else from india who is facing the same issue? What i should do? Will flipkart replace my phone? Really worried.. and if it replaces the device is there any chance for new device having the same problem ?
Please share your experience about replacement with flipkart in india.
May be if someone has bought Moto G 2014 in last few days can check their phone and reply? Just wanna know if the whole bunch of stock is damaged?!?!?! may be?
here is the screen shot i took with my phone! I have no idea if it looks yellowish in screenshot or not! that can be a hardware fault or an lollipop update will fix it ?
Are you just saying that you think the color temperature is too warm or what? A screenshot won't show that. Pictures posted by other owners have shown color temperature variance of ~1000K or more, and the measurements I've seen vary greatly. PhoneArena measured their review sample at 8290K, NotebookCheck measured one at 7336K, and I measured my own XT1064 at 6855K (20% - 100%). So there seems to be a large variance. Because it is typical for phones to have a color temperature that is too cool, I wonder if some of you people who complain about "yellow" screens may actually have phones that are reasonably close to the ideal of ~6500K and perhaps don't know what an accurate color temperature looks like?
Although I've a different kitkat phone but I don't see any color difference b/w mine & yours(in msg. app, for instance)...Both appear same.

This won't show up in a screenshot. He would need to take an actual photo of the phone to show the color temperature, but that would be affected by the lighting, the camera, our monitors....
The version of Android will have no affect on this at all, and Android doesn't support color correction.
It would be rare for phones to have a color temp that is too warm. They are usually too cool.
But FWIW, the phone shown in this picture does appear to have a very warm color temp. There is obviously a huge variance from unit to unit, and it may be even more of a problem in India than elsewhere. My US model has a decent (slightly cool) color temp and slightly undersaturated colors. It's a big improvement from my Sensation.

Yeah bro thanks for care but the android version is just okey because my friend is on the same stock ROM that i have! And his phone is just fine!
I dont know much about color temp on any device honestly! but i just know is that the phone that i have it's display looks sooo dull due to yellow color on white pixels! i compared it with the other phone (same model "Moto G 2014") that my friend has! His phone displays perfect clear white! That makes me worried about this thing being a defective unit! I have seen on internet people talking about putting their phone in direct sunlight to remove yellow tint but i dont think i should do this coz i just bought it from Flipkart so its their responsibility to provide a fully working unit!
I will only keep this if a software update can fix this issue!
Though i have already requested replacement i haven't got any call back from them to ensure the replacement process! This is the first time i'm feeling this bad service from flipkart
I'm attaching a picture taken with other camera in the first post! take a look.. sorry about the picture quality! i just hav my old nokia phone that i can use as a camera for now!
I have added another screenshot and i see there is nothing wrong coming up in the screen shot so Is it the hardware issue with the LCD panel ? :crying
Have the same issue. And other too.

I have the same issue with my unit itself. It is way too yellowish. Color calibration is always same for the same model from the software-side. Eg. Your's and your friend's phone. So it is a hardware issue. Good thing you requested for replacement. Flipkart will take a bit of time to get back to you on Electronics replacement, because they would like to help you troubleshoot first with the assumption that just something is set wrong and it is not a hardware issue. I requested yesterday and they got back to me today only. Just for information, I requested replacement for flushed buttons on side. I have a really hard to press power button and volume rocker. Replacement is on it's way. And yours will be soon too, nothing to worry.
Btw, how are the buttons feeling on your phone? Is it mushy or hard to press or something like that? Just so I know.

Yes thank you for reply i got my replacement approved and on it's way now. Will reach to me before 8th jan! Soo excited once again!
Read somewhere that a guy asked for the replacement for his yellowish looking display on moto g and got the same issue on new replacement unit (from Flipkart ofc)! I hope that wont happen to us. Fingers cross!
Talking about the buttons, they were hard on the first day but got lose just in 2 days after i started using it! My friend told me to be careful with buttons as they get very loose overtime!
Can you tell me when you got your moto g delivered to you?
Same old same old.

yeah same thing! I also got it today! same yellow tint! and mushy buttons! I think the buttons were better on the previous unit! I'm thinking of keeping this now! what ure doing with ur device?
I saw that the same tint is found on the new one plus one! And also people are saying it goes away in 2-3 weeks! or by putting the phone in sunlight for 2 hours!
are you going for another replacement? Do they give refund??

The screen doesnt have any issue, per say. But it is heavily warm (manufacturing is done with more than one screen providers at hand. My guess is, it's from another producer), and that is something I do not want. Besides that i have a few dead pixels. And considering those utterly crap buttons, I'm gonna go for refund. They do refund. But i'm not sure how that's gonna play out as i bought it in a buyback program. Let's see how it goes.

[Q]G watch dead.

Sorry for my noob question and my bad English.
I have a G watch R, after 4 days without using, my G watch now cannot turning on, even when i connect it to the charger, it just does a short vibrate and nothing happens (G watch still warm up). I try to search in google and our forums but there's no solution for my case. Is it a hardware or software problem?
I had the same problem. Sent it to repair and got a motherboard replacemant on warranty.

I had the same exact issue. 4 month old watch and LG doesn't want to fix it even though it's still in warranty .

They say it is guarantee void due to contact with water. I'm the type of person who takes watches off to wash hands. Live in a city so don't swim in sea. Spent the past 3 months trying to have it replaced but it keeps coming back as out of guarantee.
It's supposed to be water resistant to so that sounds really weird ?

Question regarding screen

Hello XDA!
My note 5's screen stopped functioning after it was dropped. I sent it to an authorised Samsung service centre.
Everything is fine, only that I'm observing a pink tint (usually over white) on the screen, when compared to another note 5. Is this normal? Should I raise a complaint regarding the same, or is there a workaround?
Bump!
Come on :/ someone?
No, it's not normal, and I'm fairly sure you realize that. You should see if they will "fix" it again (obviously they didn't fix it right the 1st time)
The pink tint is an older issue with many devices, haven't seen much about it with the Note 5, but it is certainly a defect in my book.

Faulty display. No root cause identified, just a bad panel.
Read rumors it could be the adhesive not curing properly.
I had that issue on like 5 samsung s6s. I kept returning then till i got an acceptable one. Still never got a perfect one.
I just got the note5 last week and the screen is perfect.
Ide send it back.

guys can anyone help ?
i dropped my note 5 and the display got cracked, gave the phone to the service center and they replaced the screen but the touch isn't working.
Everything is getting displayed but the touch isnt working. He told me that he replaced the screen twice but still the touch was not working, can anyone tell me what might be the issue?

Broken display on my Note 8 ?

Hello
From day one my note 8 had this half circle of black at the top right, the black area fits perfect under the front facing camera so I thought it was supposed to be like that.
Now my friend also got a brand new note 8 and his does't have this black area.
...so I have to send mine in to the service center and I will be really pissed if they dont give me a brand new one fast.
Anyone else in this forum that has had the same kind of display problem ?
if yours is over 30 days old, dont count on getting a "new" replacement..you should have reported that as soon as you noticed it
I just purchased a deep sea blue back in NOV and received it on NOV 27th. I noticed on Christmas that I had a stuck pixel(stays on red). I put a claim in on the 26th the month and I have to send it for warranty. Samsung says its a 7 to 10 day turn around plus 2 to 3 business days for shipping. so plan on not having a phone for 10 to 15 days if you don't have a back up device. I just hope they even cover my device, its in pristine condition and should not have any issues this quick. I also have another note 8 that I will be sending back to Samsung as well that has dead/stuck pixels as well that I purchased back in late AUG for pre order. i'll send that one in after I get back my blue note 8. I'm not sure why all these people are having pixels issues. I have owned samsungs for years now and never had one with a pixel issue.
I hope you've not realised it wasn't normal too late, so yeh if it's over 30days they'll most likely fix it or you'll get a refurbished one unfortunately. Wishing you luck.

I have read this as well and actually asked Samsung tech support about the multiple pixels having to be defective and they told me that its covered under warranty. but that's like asking a wall from my past experiences with Samsung. Its right around the 30 days of owning the device and after paying almost a $1000 for it, that's pretty crappy business. if I owned the device for almost a year and this issue happened, then I wouldn't quite care as much about it. especially when I have purchased Samsung devices in the past at half the cost and never had any pixel issues present.

I fought with them about sending a new replacement but they wouldn't. It will probably get a replacement display I'm guessing. if they tell me I have to pay a deductible then I'm going to be more aggressive with this.
But they must fix it since its under warranty, the question is .....will I get a brand new one or a replacement.
I do not have any good experience with repaired phones that should be water IP68 certified.

You will most likely get a refurb. But a refurbished device is fixed, tested and recertified. It will still be IP68 water resistant. Its basically as good as condition your current device could be in, minus the defect.

in this case Samsung will be issuing the refurbished/repaired device so it will be tested and certified through Samsung. same process as their new devices. a local repair shop will usually not have it ip68 certified anymore.
