Recover data from SD card which is present as internal in Android 6.0 - K3 Note Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm having lenovo k3 note with marshmallow update.
It features to convert external memory card to internal & I did so. I used migrate option in settings-->storage. But it copied lot of data to device storage, hence it end up in low memory space & I can't use my mobile. So I formatted mobile. But now it asks me to format my memory card, which is having lot of important datas. Even this memory card is not recognizing in laptop. It only allows to format to portable or internal storage in my mobile. Please suggest me to recover my datas. Thanks in advance!!!

Is there a way to increase storage for the XSP?

the Xperia SP is almost having its month on my hands. As we all know, lollipop consumes a lot of internal storage, so is there a way to increase internal storage? like install apps on the sdcard? please teach me masters
Go to settings, apps, menu, preferred install location, select removable SD card.
Your apps will install on ext. SD card (if possible). You have to move Already installed apps yourself.
you can do a sd card partition i think and then make some space of the sd card look like internal storage ...e.x: if you have internal storage like 5g and you have a sd card 4g ...you did a partition to the sd card and made 1g for the internal storage >your phone now will show you a 6g internal and 3g sd card,,,,,i don't if this will work on lollipop and our phone but you can have a look here

need help sd card partition to be used as internal memory and portable

hi all!!
i have xperia sp 8 gb!! installing few app takes lot of space .. with the new feature in marshmallow (installed cm13)
where we can use sd card as internal memory and move app + whole data. however if we use that function the data is encrypted and we cant flash anything using twrp or even cant install the updates.
so i wanted to create a partition where 25-50% can be used as internal and rest as portable!!
i have tried to create partition using TWRP .. result failed.. nothing really happened ,, tried both ext3/ext4 and after reboot the sd card detected has to be used either as portable or internal
then i tries app2sd and link2sd both are again not able to create partition.
app2sd has option to create adoptable storage which it actually created and i could see 25% as internal and 75% as external however when i tried to move app it was just like move to sd card.. where app was moved to adoptable storage and data still remains in internal memory!!
anyone can please help... in short i want to use my sd card both as internal and external storage!!
internal : to move big apps with data
external : so that i can flash apps/ install updates!!
thanks in advance

encryption to sd card

Hey devs is there any way to remove the type of encryption that lenovo make while formating the SD Card As Internal storage so, it cant be used in any other device after formating it as internal storage
There were many important files in my sd card but now i cant access to my lenovo phone and i need that data from that SD Card To Pc via a card reader but there's that type of encryption in my sd card is preventing me to do this as it is formated as internal storage
So is there any way to get data from my sd card without having my phone?

No way. Internal storage format was made to be usable only with the phone. That's why it is "INTERNAL" format.
Phone is necessary.
Also, another recommendation. Do NOT turn on your phone with internal formatted SD card out of device.

SD Card Format As Internal or External?

Hi,
I have Moto G5S Plus, which has usable storage as internal 45.34GB & SD Card 117GB.
I want to know as for SD Card formatting there are two options.
1. Format as internal
2. Format (it keeps as External)
Question:-
1. what is difference between them?
2. Which is Better option?
3. Pros & cons?
Thanks,
Always external, sd card is not robust enough to handle the read/write traffic as internal for a long time.
Never do it as internal if you don't want to experience corrupt data in the future, it is a ticking time bomb. Its only advantage is installing app in your sd card.
Yeah generally external, or portable is best option. Really almost never a need to go internal these days.

Adoptable Storage - data lost after restoring to device memory

Hey guys,
have a very important question for me. Today I decided to test the adoptable storage and formatted the SD card as internal storage :crying:. After transferring the data to it, all the data was available, but when I decided to migrate it back to the phone's memory, I cannot read any files, although it's nominal size and EXIF data were kept. Help! I am asking for help, I would like to get the photos back. Please, it's very important to me
