"How to root"
01. Download & Instal Intel Usb Driver
02. Download & Extrack File Root "Root_Zenfone 4_T001.rar" Extrack File must in the same folder
03. Mode Debugging USB (Usb Debugging) is On. (settings/About/Software information touch "Build Number" 7x).
04. Turn off Zenfone 4 and enter to "DROIDBOOT" (Power + Vol Up + Vol Down)
05. plug in Zenfone 4, Make sure On the Screen Mode DROIDBOOT Is Inscribed " Ready for Download"
06. Open the folder that was extracted and klik "OPEN.CMD"
07. type this on cmd: fastboot flash update root_zenfone4_v4.2.0.zip
08. " Enter " wait for processing
09. Your Zenfone 4 now is rooted.

Follow the instructions on page 1, but use the root file from Asus website http://www.asus-zenfone.com/2014/06/how-to-root-asus-zenfone-4.html >> Choose the second Here for Root file, should say v2.

What abt CWM/TWRP??
What abt CWM/TWRP?? will there be any Custom ROM for our Device?
Could anyone copy and paste a stock build prop, I edited mine to make it work with a Samsung gear fit and while it works ok, the stock dialer and camera apps have stopped working, the camera also has a green tint and Ive had a couple of RR since. I realise in hindsight that I should have copied it before editing but it was 3am at the time and I was going on a long run at 6am so was trying to get the Gear fit working.
Plz help I tried rooting via APK and it bricked my phone but recovered but only one prob
That when I restart or switch on live demo opens up

If you're unlocked and have TWRP installed (or tethered), you can now just flash whichever splash screen you want from recovery.
Download the zip you want (or both) and drop it onto your phone.
Reboot to recovery, install the zip from wherever you dropped the file.
Reboot system and you'll have the splash screen of your choice. :good:
Be sure to flash the correct splash for your phone.

They're the stock black & white splash screens. I just made them into flashable zip files for quick access, and the ability to change without needing a computer to fastboot flash them.

The Asus zenfone 2 animation has 3 animations.
The Slash screen, the Boot animation and the 3rd is the animated Asus powered by intel one. HOW do you change this one ? I think mine is corrupted and is causing a lot of issues. Thanks Guys ~ Rattraps

At least you can use any charger bro. I only can use the charger which came with the handset. Other chargers just shows they're working but instead of charging they drain your battery faster! It was insane!
Right after I bought Zenfone 2 I tried to charge with a Samsung charger and it said 5 hours renaming. And I was like..really? The battery was 56% after I come back 5 minutes later it was on 49% with 1d 2 hours renaming :/

I will look lock screen widget , but restore pack is imposible , only way reflash your rom (wipe is not needed).

It's needed to be resized. Current boot animation will work in it but it will look big.
Pixel 2 dark/black bootanimation mod magisk module has been added..

Hey! So I wasn't able to get this to change my boot animation. I know I have everything else setup right because other Magisk modules work, but when I reboot my phone with this installed the default boot animations plays. Any ideas?

Hey,
I just tried the Pixel 2 white on my Nexus 5X with Android 8.1 and I still see the stock animation. In /system/media/ also in /matisk/MODULENAME/ I see the Pixel bootanimation with right permissions. When I uninstall module and copy that bootanimation.zip to /system/media/ it works fine.

Stock Samsung uses .qms file as bootanimation, it won't support .zip bootanimation
You need to use custom ROM.

Idk what bootanimation format has been used in miui. May be bootanimation.zip not supported to miui.

Doesn't work.
Probably because Magisk isn't running before the boot animation, since Android isn't running yet for Magisk to do it's work.

Unzip & find out bootanimation.zip then unzip it too.. there will be all images. Also for correct resolution of your phone's splash just open file in quick pic & take ss for black bootanimation. For white, you need to put it on white background manually.
