Same here. You could go for something like WonderShare MobileGo but it's a paid product. That said, I don't see much use of these "Mobile Managers" anyway.

Doesn't work with MM phones yet as far as I know.
Xiaomi really need to slow down and concentrate on making things that are already released work properly.
Instead of making drones and space ships and unicorns that will be sold out in 10 seconds anyway.

I have the same problem because my reseller put a fake ROM... follow this guide, it can help you. It worked for me! http://en.miui.com/thread-293457-1-1.html

Because Mi PC suite doesn't support Android 6.0 for now

I don't know about the PC suite app, but the drivers it carry does help me to unlock my phone. MiUnlock tool alone won't do it.

Mi suite have driver for unlock bl.

When they are gonna update mi pc suit ?

Oh boy, did they really planned to make unicorns? xD
For OP, AFAIK there's no MI PC Suite that works with Mi 5 for now... Or later, since the last MI PC Suite is in July 2015. Bummer...
But I read elsewhere there's a MI PC suite in Chinese Language that can support Mi 5.

[Custom Rom] Cyanogenmod for Mate S [question]

Hi Community,
I Wonder because There is no Custom AOSP Rom For our device, and i think its because Device specific sources. And i know There is no Big development Community For our device. But, pls Tell me If im wrong, The Big Problem is The Not Open source Kernel but There is a Android 5.1.1 Android Open source kernel source For The Mate s.
And i Wonder because no one has testet it If you can build there a Rom with
Honor 7 and Mate S share (nearly) the same hardware, reusing the kernel from Honor 7 is absolutely possible (tested working by me, except for the modem). So you should hope for a Honor 7 CM release which will hopefully happen this/next week according to the developer (thread).
How sure are you?
Sorry for my question. But I never rootet or flashed a custom rom before. But now, since Huawei announced that there wont be an update for android 7 on the mate s, Im looking for a nice clean stock android rom. So, I think cm14 would be the best. You wrote in your post, that the cm14 version for the honor 7 would probably work. Are there any issues? Like no connection because of the modem?`
Thanks for all your answers.
cris- is working on it

It seems the CyanogenMod for honor 7 is released, I'm wondering how difficult would the convertion to Mate S be. Does anyone have an idea? How long would it take? And why isn't cris working on it anymore? I'm not too good at German. Thanks
Well the problem was that WLAN, sim card etc. are not working.... So he wasn't able to work with this rom. Maybe another developer could port this rom. But cris- is still developing the Kangvip Rom for our mate s.

This may help.
Original Huawei Mate S Android 6.0 Marshmallow Source Code:
1) https://app.box.com/s/e008lebhvvo1xv0lxebvzfmx385kyqqd
2) http://download-c1.huawei.com/downlo...Code=worldwide
I would really love a Lineage port for the Mate S. I just cannot stand EMUI.

Download 'ANT Test' from the PlayStore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quantrity.anttester&hl=en
And then click on the downwards arrows to install the required services.
Then test.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don't yet have the A2 to test myself but would be grateful If someone could please test and confirm. I can however confirm the A1 does have it and I've used it.
Just tested here with app mentioned above.

Thanks for the test. It's likely I removed the ANT services hence they never showed.
Thanks for confirming. I use Ant+ and wanted to know before looking to upgrade.
the Xiaomi mi a2 has ant + support but after the update to Android 9 it does not work anymore. apparently the Android one version. it has not been suitable for the hardware that has the a2. the message it gives is that you do not have the ant + support in the integrated firmware
I'm running Android 9 (10.0.1.0 rooted). It's showing NO for built in hardware and HAL service not found...

Looks like Xiaomi broke it for many (all?) Phones with Android 9, I have the same issue with my A1, it used to work properly under Android 8. Really sad they fail at testing before releasing a major upgrade

I'm not sure they failed the test - they need to test it in the first place.
I create issue
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/130862180
I'm running Android 10. Following the instructions from GuestK00136 and allowing the "ANT radio service" to use ANT hardware, my MiA2 is now ANT capable.

Did anyone manage to get Minecraft Earth working on Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite?

I installed the latest versions of Minecraft Earth & ARCore from 4pda forum and it works(at least it doesn't crash). Sometimes, the "Licence error" appears, so I need to reinstall the app. I can walk and, but when I try to use AR, it gets stuck on the "make sure you're in a safe location while using AR" screen. So my question is: Did anyone manage to get Minecraft Earth working on Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite without root?

You need to install ARcore from play store. Versions downloaded from any other place won't work.

Thanks... But Mi 9 Lite doesn't support ARCore. We can try writing to Xiaomi using "Services & feedback" asking to sertificate Google ARCore on Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite... :good: :good: :good:

I really don't get why Xiaomi can't give us AR support, it's not like the phone is incompatible, there are a lot of phones with Snap 710 that are supported, eg. Nokia 8.1, Oppo Reno, Realme X...

Probably licensing fees.

Yeah, and the Minecraft on Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite works excellent without bugs and errors. I think it works even better than on Samsung Galaxy A5. I'm playing on Meizu MX5 which is less powerful than your Xiaomi.

I believe that for something like that You need unlocked bootloader and flash Fastboot version of the ROM, not Recovery or OTA version.
This mi9 is not my personal phone (company phone) so I can't unlock the bootloader or install ROM's
Due to my job I use the phone outside and the automatic brightness is crazy sometimes
With previous MIUI version all was good

Then all you can do is wait for the next version while hoping the issue has been fixed, of course you should report it as well using the feedback app. There's a chance that you're the only one experiencing the issue or there could be more but none reports it, hence the developers have no idea it happens.

Then maybe just try to reset (erase cache and user data) Settings.apk?! Maybe this will help You and by this procedure Your personal data on this phone is not in any kind of a danger.

My fastboot looks different, and I'm having problem connecting to PC to unlock the bootloader, I've tried so many drivers

I have the same problem
Are you on MIUI 13? My friend also has a problem with Mi Unlock detecting his phone after upgrading to MIUI 13. It seems like this is a soft lock. Try installing MIUI 12.5 if Xiaomi hasn't implemented an anti-rollback feature back to MediaTek.
I'm on MI 12.5
Have you tried the mt6768 USB drivers? They worked for me. But, I no longer have the driver installer. I got them from my friend with the SP Flash Tool.

Seems like the guy meant the fastboot before the 12.5 update with the bunny. And it seems like he just missed some drivers.

This is what I have. I don't use xiaomi phone, so I'm not sure. This is the old phone of my father, I just bored and want to play around with it.
And yes, I had issue with driver too.

I use official unlock tool.
But I follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/resolved-mi-unlock-tool-cannot-detect-phone.3663139/post-73566526
The driver installation was quite tricky. I could never install it if that guy didn't post complete steps to follow.
