You don't always need to root your phone install custom ROMs

Undoubtedly the devs use root for testing and tweaking. And I'm certain they play with custom ROMs; it's no coincidence that the last few iterations have been integrating features first found in custom ROMs.

it is possible to dual (or even tripple) booth on diffrent os..
but roms i'm not sure..
i dont think so.
1. problem: ROM is not nearly big enough to hold 2 Roms at once
2. problem: the Filesystem installed on the phone cant be spwapped. (different OS different Files)

Stable ICS ROM that has Touchwiz?

My sister is a captivate user whose phone is having issues and getting sent in for repair. The warranty is nearly up, so I suggested she get a custom ROM afterward since it won't matter if she voids warranty, and there won't be an official ICS update.
That seems all fine and dandy, but here's the problem: She hates, and I mean HATES roms that are AOSP, and won't use anything that doesn't have Touchwiz. Strange, I know.
If there's a ROM out there that's just like the ICS that newer Samsung models got, that'd be perfect.
Also, she's not very technical, and has a lot of important stuff on her phone, so it has to be stable. For guys like us, routine backups are no problem, but she's just an average user.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm an Xperia user and have no clue about Samsung roms.

Hi
This is Sailfish OS port : https://github.com/bitrvmpd/sailfish-santoni
As said by dev, port = no apk support...
Not many apps, not a lot of similar apps (whatsapp, etc), but rom looks very nice, I like UI, no bug.
But it's not updated since april.

Anyone know how to use android app in sailfish? I use alien dalvik, but it doesnt want to start the services
In official Sailfish, you can activate android apps.
In this unofficial port, no way to install apk.
Its an community prot so no apk support for this rom.. you can still try this as daily driver.. its has only 2 issues..

Two roms exist:
One based on LinageOS and PixelOS, I can't send link to telegram group here because of XDA rules. But you can find it!

POS
LOS
& Arrow OS
My personal opinion is about custom roms, for now they are good but they have some nasty issues. I tried POS for more than 4 days and now I'm back to RUI with root. Let's see how far this phone goes with custom roms, but for now I'll wait. I don't want to offend the developers, I even thank them for what they do!
