Looking for Chinese ALOO Original OEMINFO file - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

As the title says, looking for the original OEMInfo file as I forgot I could back mine up before I tried to trick the device into being an EU model ... (it worked fine mind you - but now won't take any updates)

how did you trick it to being EU model? flashed C432 OEM-file from an EU P9?

yes, using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/how-to-change-cust-c900-c432-t3392824
Process is dead easy, however my phone thinks its a L09 not a l19 (dual sim) which is not the end of the world as dual sim still works. BUT the 168 chinese ROM has a more advanced (and easier to use) SIM swop functionality (switching between which SIM has the 3/4G connectivity)
Just wish I could get my hands on the oem-file (orignal)

Awesome!! Does it mean it'll just update to am EU firmware? Or do I have to flash it manually? And would OTA update still work?

1) Backup your oeminfo file !!! and then send it to me (if you have the same phone as me)
2) swap the oeminfo file with the Eu one
3) apply a EU firmware
4) relock the bootloader
5) OTA updates will work
Its fairly straight forward and well documented on the forum. i currently have the latest EU firmware on my Chinese AL00 L9 device

Cheers dude. Much appreciated

Milamber, Slug32 - could one of you send the oeminfo for EVA-AL00 to me as well? I tried switching to the asia variant using SRKTool and now I am stuck in a weird state. Hoping to get back to the original (or cleanly move to the EU one - but I am not brave enough for that anymore - instructions welcome).

Yes you will. In terms of updates C900 and C432 are the same and will receive all updates directly from Huawei.
Personally I would convert the device to C432 fully though as your device will have inconsistent device IDs that need changing. It's simple enough as long as you have unlocked your devices bootloader using DC-Unlocker.

Hi; I'm going to buy a p9 plus with your same ROM, C900; are there any news concerning the ota updates? Is it true that this ROM blocks the updates? Then, passing to C432, do you invalid the warranty? Many thanks
p.s. where is your phone from? An international one, I think

Hi Mostar, tell me; as I told you, the p9 plus (I'm going to buy it from a friend of mine) has a C55b160 firmware (Italy, Tim brand) and themes are not present...do you think that if my friend flashed the rom with a c432, before selling it to me (without unlocking the bootloader), it would be better, in general? Where to find eventually the c432 firmware? No problem, in this case too, for the warranty? Thanks

U can debrand it the same way you debranded your phone with SrkTool Huawei by flashing oeminfo for C432 but u must unlock bootloader and root, always backup your oeminfo before debrand so u can return it to stock for warranty. U can download firmware here:

I'm having the seemingly common Android Pay issues after receiving my phone back from repair from a Huawei service centre with the C900 build on it. I have requested the bootloader code from Huawei after they refused to help get me onto the 'correct' one so if somebody could tell me what needs to be put onto my phone to get it to C432 that would be much appreciated. I'm not sure what they have put on so would this need to be known before trying to get to 432 or is it not an issue?
I am in the UK and my carrier is EE. Going through to Network Information Query ---> Vendor Country Info shows Vendor as EE and Country as GB. Build number EVA-C900B166.
Not a clue with any of this kind of thing so talk to me as if I'm stupid?!?!?!
Thanks in advance

UK Vodafone branded Nougat update

Hi there! Has anyone have received Nougat update in Vodafone branded P9? Any clue when it will be released?

Because C900 is a result of a crossflash between different Cust version ie C636 to C432 without unbranding your phone.

This is not a guide. The service firmware is a full firmware that is used to unbrick our devices, using the dload method.
This firmware can make it easier to debrand devices, although it is necessary to go through extra steps, like unlocking your bootloader, and installing a custom recovery, etc.
You will need to search the forum for a link to the thread with the service firmwares. [emoji1360]

It may also work with HuRu tool and my unofficial TWRP, but i didn't tested.

Factory Reset - Not Required
Unlocked Bootloader - Required

I have always thought that as long as it is BLA-L29 then any firmware that starts with BLA-L29 have the same hardware requirement, but only differ at a software level. Myself have flashed many types of BLA-L29 firmwares and never had a problem,,,,
any contribution from experts?
Thanks, wished I had left my BL open
Anywho, this "beta" is it an open beta or more like a leaked closed beta? If it is an open beta, I'd like to know if Huawei has a beta program for European devices and how to sign in.

Hello everyone,
You can also install it even if your bootloader is closed.
By cons it must go through funkyhuawei. I put it through them.

I have always thought that as long as it is BLA-L29 then any firmware that starts with BLA-L29 have the same hardware requirement, but only differ at a software level. Myself have flashed many types of BLA-L29 firmwares and never had a problem,,,,
any contribution from experts?

There is a difference in the Firmware, C is Cust/Region of the Firmware.
C185 is Middle East/Africa
C432 is Europe
C636 is Asia/Pacific
There is a lot off different Cust region firmwares, some are from locked providers like Vodafone etc....
If u flash a Firmware with another Cust then yours your Cust will change to C900 and u wont recive OTA updates, in worst case u will brick your phone!
Sent from my LON-L29 using XDA Labs
