Huawei P9 Plus nits/max brightness - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

I read that on P9 (LCD version) the max brightness is 500nits. What is the max brightness for P9 Plus AMOLED?
What's better outdoor?
Thank you.

IPS will always be better outdoors.

Not at all. P9 Plus Amoled is very good outdoor and easy to use in direct sunlight conditions. IPS display is good but Amoled is better. I like my P9 plus Amoled display

Contrast (true blacks)

How well do you know your fifty shades of grey? Rate this thread to express how good the LG Nexus 5X's display contrast is. A higher rating indicates that black is true black, rather than a very dark gray.

Meh contrast. Blacks are kind of a dark gray.
Best black levels I've seen on an IPS display to date, ambient display looks practically like OLED on here.
True contrast ratio is about 1:1500 and looks amazing.
Huge improvement over the N5 which was no slouch in the display quality department itself.
Blacks are as good as I would ever expect on a LCD display.
EDIT: Just did a side by side comparison with my Nexus 5 and the blacks/contrast on the Nexus 5X is better than the Nexus 5. Also, screen uniformity on the Nexus 5X is better. The screen obviously can't do pure black like an AMOLED can but it's pretty good for a LCD with perfect uniformity(at least that I can tell) across the entire screen. On the Nexus 5X with a full black background in a totally dark room with the brightness at 100% and my Nexus 5X has ZERO light bleed from the edges of the display. I think this is the first time in my life that I can say that. Every LCD I have ever seen(smartphone, TV, computer monitor, etc) had some level of light bleed from the edges.
I still prefer AMOLED to LCD but as far as LCDs go I have 0 complaints for the Nexus 5X.

Clarity/resolution

The BLU R1 HD has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.

Actually amazed by the display clarity at this price
Not sure if it's me (happened with my BLU Studio X) but sometimes when the brightness is turned down to the lowest setting, a visible "flickering" of brightness can be seen. Very slight, but noticeable.
Other than that, a great display. Easy to read text.

I'm impressed with the screen quality as well.
Playing YouTube video yesterday's presidential debate - R1 HD vs Nexus 5 side by side, the N5 at native resolution 1080p has inferior clarity and sharpness compared to the R1 HD in 720p.
It's unbelievable. I'm mind blown. Really.
The overall quality of the display is fantastic. It looks and feels "flagship", even though it's only 720p. Even with Night Shift mode on, it looks great.
The only display I've used that's better is the one on my LG G2, and that's because it has an AMOLED display.

OP3 VS OP3T camera and others

Few examples from gsmarena, it looks like the 3T is noisy, and even much more at low light
The ISO is 100 (vs 160 on 3) and same 1600 on low light, but it should be more smooth and sharp.
Why is the camera shots are that different?
Did you notice it on daily use?
There is any other issues on 3T over the 3? (on screen, lagging, battery life, multitouch etc)

You will be getting 1080p AMOLED display in the P2. So the display is sharp and excellent more than enough. Probably you will not get any problem during even very sunny day p2 can handle it with high brightness. With AMOLED display you will get deep black perfectly and punchy colors. AMOLED displays are extreme battery friendly✌

Defective unit or all units are bad?

Hello!
I have purchased a RM3S and I have an issue.
While using the phone with max brightness it is okay, however if I lower the brightness, especially when it is around 50% I see an issue. The issue is that if there is a white background I can see very light gray horizontal lines, some if them might be even vibrating.
Is this a common issue since ZTE used a very low quality AMOLED panel or I have just received a lemon and should RMA?
In short, the white is not perfectly white on the entire screen. The higher the screen brightness the lesser it is visible.
No such issue with the AMOLED panel used in my Mi 9T Pro.
Defective display. I had the same issues on the fallowing phones
Galaxy Nexus
Galaxy S6
Moto Z force
So it's not from a low quality AMOLED display. The one in the RM3 is pretty nice. You just got a defective display. And I seen it happen across a few brands and the s6 and Galaxy Nexus were both Samsung phones and Samsung makes the best AMOLED.
