Which Micro SD card of Samsung? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Accessories

I would like to buy a Micro SD card for my GS7E. I'm doubting between ''Samsung 128GB microSDXC Pro U3'' and ''Samsung Pro Plus microSDXC UHS-I U3 128GB''.
I'm just a student with low salaries. The price / speed makes me doubt. Is it worth buying faster card? I don't want to see any lagg and no performance loss.
Would be nice if someone can help me!
Samsung Pro microSDXC UHS-I U3 128GB
Price: €62,90
Read: 90MB/s
Write: 80MB/s
Samsung Pro Plus microSDXC UHS-I U3 128GB
Price: €79,90
Read: 95MB/s
Write: 90MB/s

Hi Musti
Where are you buying from? What Country do you reside in?

its not worth to buy the Pro Plus, i've the normal Pro and speeds are 65MB Read and 35MB write. The Card isnt nearly exhausted .... A sandisk ultra card does the same job for a lower price.
I think the sd card controller is responsible for this "lower" speed....

The EVO+/EVO Select are more than enough, especially for a fraction of the price

32GB microsd cards coming soon?

Since I've bought my Omnia II I've been looking forward to getting a 32GB microsd card which the device claims to support. Only problem is that they don't exist yet and I can't find any information on when I can expect them to be in the market, or how much i'll be expected to shell out for one.
Anyone else holding out for a 32GB card? 16GB is a lot, but not nearly enough to hold all my music, let alone having room left for taking photo's/videos.
hopefully in a few months ,according to this http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/13/samsung-announces-64gb-movinand-flash-32gb-microsd-card/
I wouldn't hold out for anything...

The new crop of microSD cards are getting ridiculous storage capacities for something this small - step back 16GB microSD cards, the 32GB cards are coming to town. SanDisk just might be the first to release microSD cards of this capacity.
By the way, this is the Swan song of microSDHC - they are capped at 32GB capacity. Coming to replace them will be the microSDXC variety (XC stands for "extended capacity").
Getting back on topic, SanDisk will release the world's first 32GB microSD cards next month and their price is expected to be 200 US dollars (150 euro), which obviously includes he early adopter's fee and the bragging rights that come with it.
We're joking of course, but 16GB microSD cards from SanDisk can be had for as low as 40 bucks - buying a phone with a hot-swappable card slot sounds like a good idea, doesn't it?
But if you absolutely must have one, you'd need 200 dollars by next month when these cards start shipping.
Source 200$?? LOL,,LET OBAMA PAY FOR EVERYONE OF THEM

Hai everybody, i am a new member to forums, so i am intereseted
and want to gain knowledge on this topics..........................thank u
I'm using SunDisc 32 Gb class 2 without any problem. It is not very good for watching films from it because 2 class (slow for film streaming with high bitrate), but for data, photo and music it is very nice. I copy film from card in to internal (8 Gb) memory and watch it.

Not all micro SD class 10 have the same speed my friend.
class 10 card means that meets the minimum requirements of class 10 of SD Card Association protype, which is 10 MB/second
in fact some quality class 6 cards may give you speed more than 10 MB/s, while cheap - low quality class 10 will give you just 10 MB/s or even worse theoretically 10MB/s under perfect weather ect condintions.....
par example samsung sd class 10 plus gives you up to these
• Speed Rating Speed (read) : 24MB/s
• Speed (write) : 21MB/s
which i think worth the few extra usd.
same brand's class 6 cards give you
Speed (Read) 17MB / sec.
Speed (Write) 12 ~ 13MB / sec.
which is much faster than low quality class 10
So you should rethink about class 10 now
Yeah i agree.
My Class 6 Sandisk transfers at 10MB/s beating my Class 6 32GB Gskill transferring at 6 MB/s max.

HTC HD2 Memory Cards - Question

As for these four memory cards, is that you recommend to the HD2?
1. SANDISK MICRO SD 16GB class 4
2. ADATA MICRO SD 16GB class 4 or ADATA MICRO SD 16GB class 6
3. KINGSTONE MICRO SD 16GB class 4
Sandisk because it has stable performance and more compatible than other cards on wp7
I personally used Sandisk for a very long time and continue to do so but i have recently swapped it out for a Transcend 8GB class 10. You can find it
on ebay here for $10.50. Read and write speeds are impressive and it works great for Android or to just have really. I don't use WP7 so i can't honestly
say if it'll work or not for that. A quick search in the WP7 Q&A could shed some light on it. I just couldn't foresee how it would even be a problem though.
Google the SD cards your interested but add the word benchmark to the end. This can give some insight on what cards generally have the better
performance and which don't. Higher speed ratings don't always mean better scores so look at the benchmarks and most important, the reviews.
If Sandisk is the card your most interested in i could sell you some of mine. I can't compete with China or knockoff prices but i could offer something
cheaper then what you might pay at Best Buy, Target or even Walmart. $8 for a 8GB sandisk class 4, $15 for a 16GB sandisk class 4 or both for $20.
Improtant warning about (some) sandisk cards. While shopping in the past i did see a lot of fake sandisk cards. I've always heard the easiest way to spot
a fake sandisk is buy looking where the speed rating is placed. If its off to the corner then it might be fake. It should be centered in the middle as all mine are.
Sankdisk, if not Kingstone.
Honestly, I'd go all the way and get 32gb. Thats what I did.
Sandisk, and buy only from certified OEM seller.
Any card from auction: 95% probability of getting fake one. They may work as original, or may not.
I recommend samsung 32GB class10.
Its effect is very good.

"please insert sd card"
how to fix it...

Which SD to buy ?

I have been using Sandisk 16GB Class 4 for a while now, and I need to increase my storage (32GB)
I am confused between these two cards:
Samsung 32GB Class 10 for 1599 INR (29.43 USD)
Sandisk 32GB Class 4 for 1216 INR (22.38 USD)
Which one should I go for ?
If your not looking for fast write speeds or using as a "swapped" internal memory, just go for the class 4, never pay more than you need for memory cards, they date to fast.
I thought greater speed (class10) would be nice,
I was just wondering if samsung is good against sandisk or not ?
Also does samsung cards work with WP7 ?
i am using samsung class 6
16gb
and it works flawlessly for wp7 and native sd (android)

Why not go for the 64GB cards that are available now? They are selling for around $50 (for a SanDisk class 10 even) and they work great in an HD2. See my posts about this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33028241&postcount=9 Basically the same post here as well, but I added a bit more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33102891#post33102891 You can never have too much storage space.
Be careful with class 10 cards as for phone memory use they are not the best.
Good quality class 4 or 6 is best all round card with better sequential speeds that are more in line with phone usage thus better performers & cheaper/easier sourced plus less prone to issues/compatibility ...
i use sandisk
I bought the Samsung 32GB Class 10. It is really fast. I'm using Android via NAND and you can improve your smartphon experience by upgrading your system with this card a lot.
I use a 16GB class 10 Sandisk micro sd
I use SanDisk Ultra microSDHC UHS-1 8GB card.
Worked very well with JellyTime NativeSD ROM and now with WP7 ROM 8858. So cheap and lightning fast. I recommend it for everyone, great memory card!
I use 32 GB Class10 Transcend Extrem Speed (Ultimate), this card has a very well performance with WP7 and NativeSD.

Second place in random speed (4k R/W)!
Which is important for WP7, NativeSD or Nandroid with A2SD, DataOnExt, ect.

I'm wondering the same thing, I want to know if it's really worth it to get the SanDisk extreme pro.
It would be nice to have a real benchmarks for each cards inside the S7E as well.
These are already covered (complete with benchmarks in the phone itself) in the existing thread:

Best Micro SD Card for Note8

Hello guyz,
Can you please recommend me the best microSD card for our phone in 128GB or 256GB?
I am leaning towards Samsung Pro Plus 128GB or EVO Plus 256GB. Should I go for speed or size?
Also there is Sandisk Extreme with similar speeds and Lexar Professional with read speeds @ 150mb/s, but I'm note sure if these speeds are overkill for a Note8..
I would also like to know cause eBay has so many fake ones.
I honestly have had issues with every sdhc I've used except for the EVO's. I don't know about other Samsung classes but I personally would stick with genuine Samsung memory cards.
Sent from my SM-G955U using XDA Free mobile app
I've been using the 256GB EVO that Samsung was giving out for the Note7 promo. Been working great.
I lost my $32 for useless SD card
I wouldn't worry too much about speed, as you can install apps on the SD card (correct me if I'm wrong). I would go for size over speed.
Never had issues with the Samsung or Sandisk memory cards for mobile devices, I have used everything from 2gb cards to 256gb cards and I will be looking at the 400gb card as soon as Sandisk gets it to retailers.
Samsung EVO Plus Grade 3, Class 10 128GB MicroSDXC thats one i have in my Note8 and as i don't shot lot of 4k videos that speed is enough
400gb for the win chuck
sandisk 400gb. Note8 ready. get it ONLY from "ships and sold by amazon". never 3rd party.

Fastest is probably:
Lexar Professional 1000x microSDXC (up to 256GB)
Biggest size is probably:
SanDisk Ultra 400GB microSDXC UHS-I
Best price/size/performance? Probably Samsung Evo+ line of cards, based on the following (it's a guess, I have not benchmarked them myself):
https://www.pidramble.com/wiki/benchmarks/microsd-cards
Do not rely on only the manufacturers' ratings, they can be way off and sometimes read is fast, but write is slow (or vice versa). The most expensive is not always the fastest either. Further, some excel in big sequantial reads, others are a tad better in random read/write IOPS. Even further, Note8 card interface probably is NOT able to use the maximum speed out of the latest UHS-II cards.
And yes, do NOT buy on eBay, unless you are willing to gamble or really know what you are doing.
My experience with SanDisk
Hi,
I just bough an Sandisk microSdhc Extreme 128 GB, Class 10, U3 UHS-2.
I emailed Samsung about my Note 8 and they told me that it supports UHS-2 cards.
When running tests on phone I get MAX 60write 60read
Only on DiskSeed Test App I got 287 MB/S read and 37 MB/S write.
Any input?
I've had my 64gb SD card in my s5 before putting it in my note 8. I might be lucky, but I figured Samsung cards work best in Samsung devices, idk. But yeah, it's been about 3 years and the SD card is going strong.
Andddddd...itll probably break after this post.
Galaxy Note 8 has many options for microSD Card for it. Here I found much different Note 8 Memory Card.
Never had an issue with any Sandisk microSDCard. I have had a bunch of them and they all work fine.
I'm another using the Samsung 256 EVO that came with the Note 7 promo. It also worked fine in an S7Edge for a while before I got the Note 8.

Anyone know where to get this one at a better deal? When it comes to device storage I'm not as much concerned with speed as I am with size and having 400GB at your fingertips, on the go, is just pretty freakin' awesome.
Btw...for those looking for more speed, I happened to catch this video on YouTube the other day that explains what the different speed markings on the sd cards actually mean if anyone's interested. I found it to be fairly informative.
