[FUN] A way to become hTC 10 - One (M8) Accessories

Let's see the modded back of hTC One M8 trying to be alike hTC 10
The story begins since the phone felt down and got some scratch, and soon he realizes he has to do something and with the inspiration from newest hTC flagship, he had spent more than five hours to make hTC One M8 back looks alike our newest, hTC 10. So surprising !
Work done by a Vietnamese hTC Fan and he called it's a hTC 18

Neat.
What tools did he use? It actually gave me an idea to polish my whole, scratched up phone.

he was asked to provide the instruction video already, since it's available I will post for your reference

So, any information about that video?

i too wanted to do something about my scratched htc one m8, i tried engraving something at the back. ended up ruining it more.
Buying another phone is not an option. am open to any cool mods on the phone.

lol... cool... is it any good?
I'd like to know how good it is.
I seem to remember these zoom attachments for mobile phone cameras from a few years ago. Never new anyone who actually spent the money on 1 tho.
Imagine if we also had a tripod for that.. Its fun to use but not very practical, only for those occasional shots.
And plus I think there will also be a faint round patch around the picture, as if you were looking out a doorhole.
At least that was what happened when I got a telescope for the Sony Ericsson K800i.
That is very LOL
thats amazing!!!!
Thats just fracking awesome!
Anyone get this yet? Is it legit?

any samples using the hd2 one?
Very interesting... looking forward to seeing the results.
I had one for my HTC Touch Diamond and it was okay. Main problem is the plastic shell that the 'telescope' / zoom-lens attaches to. It was very brittle plastic and didn't take much to break. More of a toy.

Big problem!!

Hi Guys
i have a big problem,
I've tried to change the digitizer touchpanel myself, and cut the function keys off can anyone please help.

basicly what you see there is whats underneath the 5 buttons on the bottom on the HD2. Atached to that should be whats underneath the rest of the HD2 (a large curcit board so to speak) FUBAR in my opinion.
IM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU BRO!!!
So sorry so sorry.
I know it sucks. I know.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5850567#post5850567
I have suffered same thing before. I had to buy hd2 for parts just to replace!
It's very easy to try and remove mainboard without lifting latch for terminal. I had already taken mine apart three times before I forgot about it on fourth try and I heard a "pop"...I **** my pants, cried and got to looking to buy one for replacement parts.
I am currently looking to buy hd2's so let me know if you want to part with it.

[Opinion] Samsung i900 Screen?

I've tried asking this on Modaco due to there being no i900 forums here but Modaco's a waste of bleedin' time!
Someone's just chucked their old Omnia i900 my way and I was going to have a play with different ROMs on it.
However, the screen's got a fault - two black lines across it

Do you guys think it's a faulty LCD or a screen connection problem?
Thanks
Woo! No replies here either
I don't have one of this phones...but, if you want help...why don't you provide us with as much information as possible.....shuch as:
Did this happened after or before flashing?
Was the phone in good working consitions before flashing?
Did you even flashed that phone?
Is it new or used?
if flashed, have you tried flashing back to stock?
It's an old phone that been given to me. It's never been flashed and I've tried a full reset. Thanks for any help.

For background purposes http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-http-omnia-modaco-com/311922/screwed-screen/
Your quote "Modaco's a waste of bleedin' time!"
But yet your still going to get your roms from there.
modaco, xda, ppc geeks, omnia hub, and countless others are all GREAT sites. So sorry the seas didn't part at the snap of your finger.
good day.
It's a bad case of some dead pixels. Nothing you can do about it.
had this on one of my omnias, faulty screen, they're easy enough to get new ones from ebay iirc.

PMSL! Whatever...

HTC one is highly repairable according to lead designer

So HTC has a secret tool used to take apart the HTC one without damaging it hopefully someone can get there hands on it
http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/10/htc-one-repair-justin-huang/
Sent from my One using Tapatalk 2
Interesting find, to say the least. I wonder what it is though. iFixit's pretty thorough, and I can't imagine they'd miss any obvious way into the casing...so whatever this trick tool is, it must be fairly clever (which could mean either brilliantly simple or...well, not. )

Only that the tool costs about 1 million dollars. Those bastards. I know people enjoy the kind of design like apple, but I prefer those that use screws. I opened my touch diamond after it dropped on ground and display didn't work. I plugged the cable back in, and it worked again. Well, that old day is gone.
I had 3 refurbished Ones, all with separate problems. I assume they did not have this magic tool.
It probably not a "tool" that you can hold or have shipped to your house.
It's probably a 1 ton machine with precision heating elements and clamps. None of that knifing crap.

Hopefully this tool is effective and reliable. My phone's main board has to be replaced, so they'll have to open it up. Now that I know they have a special tool, I have the right to raise hell if they send it back all screwed up.
bump
looks like someone has found a way to open it with minimal damage it seems
