for making a Home page default :
Pinch any home screen using 3 finders to display the home screen thumbnails.
Tap the "Home Icon" at the bottom on the home you want to make default.
For icon size reduction :
Using ES File Explorer
Enable root
Enable R/W
Navigate to /device/system
Scroll down, tap on build.prop and select ES Note Editor from the list to open the text file.
Tap the pencil icon to edit the file and scroll down until you see the following entry: ro.sf.lcd_density=320
Change the density to 290
Reboot.
using the above steps i was able to reduce the icon size. But the space between 2 icons increases, which i am not able to reduce.

I am facing a problem... flashed miui 6 and was using in my yureka... but media server problem then I came to know there is miui 7 6.2.18 downloaded it and followed same procedure and installed my its not booting into rom stucks in yu logo... I tried to install miui 6 again... and done perfectly any one can help me to install miui 7 please...

That is normal. The ROM displays the yu logo for quite some time. Wait for 20-30 minutes for boot to finish & then enjoy!!!

in all MIUI rom there is an option for showing contact name against number displayed in messages like missed call number.but it cannot seen in other cm or android rom.if any option for display this contact name in this rom

Hello Anna, data is still not working with v6.3.17. Apart from heating issue. I guess Data works but the data strength is very week.
Please let me know what logs you need so that I can send them to you for better resolution.

Problems
I am writing this after 14hours of flashing this ROM.
Please suggest a solution for these problems mentioned below:
* LED is not working!
* Video is not playing in YouTube app, as well as in Web Browsers. (Screenshot attached)
* Theme reverted back to default one on its own.
* Phone hung 3-4 times, had to remove battery & restart.
* Music also not playing, app says can't play music.
I exactly performed the same Flashing procedure reommended by you.

how can I reboot into recovery mode again in this ROM? Flashed this ROM as you described, after first boot I have proceed up to sign in to mi account. then I stopped and rebooted again. now I cant make call or receive call using the phone. in permission manager no applications have permission to make or receive call. what can I do? How can I re-flash the ROM? thanks.

1. Power off
2. Hold the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Down simultaneously
3. As soon as the YU logo flashes, leave all the bottons. U'll boot to recovery.

The MAC address of wifi and blue tooth are showing unavailable. So, I can't connect my wifi and blue tooth. Please help me. @Annabathina (All his posts suffer from same problem, like Color os, Nubia os and miui 7, etc)

Am on MIUI 7 Developer ROM 6.2.25 since the release of that version , i did not face any issues. Plus i have also tried this ROM, but i was able to connect to wifi too.

I am facing the problem of wifi MAC address "unavailable". @Annabathina have to find some way to correct it.

Facing this wierd issue... Mobile data is working but network speed is less than 1kbps on Reliance 3G... Tried changing sim card to different phone.. Easily getting 400-500 kbps speed... Can anyone please suggest a solution cuz rest everything is awesome and i don't wanna change this rom

check your imei number and if you are using wi fi check its mac address. May be those might got changed

mobile data not working, performance was slow...
Rest of the things are superb.. please tweak performance to use successfully as primary rom.

For Mobile Data Please flash the zip provided by Anna in the OP.
For Google Play Store Error Follow the below steps :
1. Uninstall Google Play Store and Google Play Services using ES File Explorer.
2. Flash the latest Open Gapps Pico.
Issue Resolved.
As for Battery Backup, I see that the device is not able to sleep, there are some wakelocks. Try using permissions manager to disable "Allow wakeup".

Annabhatina Don't implement 15 sec boot because if one user lost his device then all new user will get a notification that this device was lost making device unusable.

Don't Install this ROM because to implement 15sec boot data partition is used. and on First boot phone sends an SMS(May be to Chinese Number your all balance is doing to be deducted) and gives you notification that this phone was lost and you can't do anything. Additionally on wiping Data you will stuck at Checking Find device status (May be because my balance was deducted). Checked on two Yureka devices. Finally I did it by disabling data and enabling WiFi. Still not Recomended because of chinese content.

Hello ShubhamSE,
1. You get the device lost notification only if you have an MI account or (have previously flashed any MI ROM on your device )and that too was registered with the same mobile number previously. It happens when either you have flashed or Factory reset your MI Mobile or ROM. It is a safety feature. When you enter your MI password, it is authenticated with the MI server( as it is done in case of any Google account).
2. You incurred balance deduction, as in this version of ROM (MIUI-7 V6.5.5), The initial setup is skipped (But that to randomly, i have reflashed this version of ROM atleast 4 times now!), due to which there is no option to enter the WIFI setup. which I guess is a Bug. In the earlier versions, the setup used to complete properly, so you must never have faced this issue. I have observed similar issues with some of the Other ROMS, where the device gets struck on "Checking Information". So this was not new to me.
But on the other hand you can solve this issue by simply following a simple step,
1. Flash the ROM
2. Flash custom Kernel (optional).
3. Boot into the ROM, complete the initial setup i.e. put the MI password, once authenticated,
4. Reboot into recovery flash the Data fix, and reboot.
@ Anna, request you to please provide a solution for the initial setup.

I'm facing a problem in x265 video playbacks.Earlier (on previous MIUI builds) , MX Player (as well as all other players) supported Hardware Acceleration.
But now only Software decoding is supported (which is sluggish and makes the video laggy).
Can anyone help ?

The find device was a security feature of MI. My MI password was not working as the phone was not connected to WiFi to verify password.
Which kernel is best RazorReborn or Gladiator.

The most beautiful MIUI 8 has finally arrived for Xiaomi devices and so for our YU Yureka. So after MIUI 7, here comes my MIUI 8 Global and China Beta/Developer ROM for Yureka and Yureka Plus.
This MIUI 8 Global/China Developer ROM is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. This Custom ROM is ported from xiaomi.eu unofficial MIUI 8 weekly release which is fully translated into English and is multilingual. Thus, this MIUI 8 is actually a Global version.

Some Important Tips
After first boot you may feel little lag but it will go after few hours of use. So don't panic.
MIUI does not support NTFS file system. So better use FAT formatted SD Card and USB. But if you have already a NTFS formatted SD Card then use Paragon exFAT, NTFS & HFS+ App to mount it.
USB OTG is not working directly through the stock File Manager, so use third-party apps like ES File Explorer for it.
You may feel liittle battery drain since it is still in beta stage. It will be fixed in the upcoming builds.
Do not flash MIUI Official OTA Updates, it will BRICK your device.

How to use Titanium Backup
Enable USB debugging and Unknown Sources in Settings
Install Busybox 42
Disable 'Mount namespace separation' in SuperSU
Reboot
Then Titanium Backup Will work.

Well i have been using the resurrection remix rom for a while in the yureka. Anyways was able to install. But unable to use titanium backup. Any solution?

That I know bro. That's why not updating the ROM now. I will update it once everything gets fixed.
Currently you can reduce battery drain by under clocking CPU and GPU. And you can use battery saving governors as well.

also bro how do you use xposed?? it is showing that the framework is installed but not active. i did go to root/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf but no files exist

Don't try installing this through cwm. First I tried installing through CWM, my phone got soft bricked.
Install using TWRP only.

I am currently on YUOS (Android 6) can i flash this miui 8(Android 5)

bro i am using cos12.1 and how can i install this rom i have twrp 2.8.6 and after wipe cache and directly flash this zip or not . if yes i am continue for that if no tell me the procedure bro my divice yu yyureka amd it is not rooted

Thanks Bro for such an awesome ROM!!............. Flashed it yesterday and it is working beautifully..... I am posting my few observations on this ROM ....
1) I clean installed it and still then i observed that clock icon & calendar icon is not visible with default theme. Fix : Download other themes & use it.. it is working fine....
2) Camera : In Mi camera app Filters are not appearing. but can click normal photos & Modes... Hope open Camera will work fine...
3) Bugs & Hangs : when i used security app to analyse battery...mobile completely hanged & i had to reboot again , Cyanogen camera provided with ROM doesn't work..... only one default ROM available.....
4) OTG : OTF function not working with MI's File manager however it worked well with third party app like ES explorer....
Thanks once again.. If possible please issue a fix for above i problems......... Keep your great work going bro....

i clean flashed this Rom but it is showing belaow error...

i didnt remember the user id and password.
i again wiped cache, data ,system , internal memory and reflash this rom but nothing workd same error showing.

Hope you tried some other Mi ROM before on this device & your device is registered with mi. You should have given password for that device . Kindly try entering that password . It is a alpha numeric password .. If you don't remember your password try not to get connected with internet while setting up the phone and skip that step.... I don't know whether it will work ... just a idea .....

Indian Language Malayalam is not working...

YES JIO works

Security issue on lock screen
If i am using Musixmatch music player and after locking screen the music player lock feature open phone without asking pattern.
And also google ok feature unlock the screen without asking pattern

The phone also gets unlocked after the end of the received calls.

Is Second Space working? I have installed it but secondspace is not working for me.
Tamil Font is also not showing proper. When I try to replace the Sanserif Fallback.ttf in /system/fonts, but after reboot... the letters are not at all showing.
Please help.

Lock screen security issue, phone gets unlocked.
I have been using this rom as my daily driver for over a week now and it's very smooth, I haven't noticed any kind of lag. I really loved the rom. Thanks for providing a great rom. :good::good:
The only issue is that the phone gets unlocked after the end of a received call and also it gets unlocked after silencing the alarm.

Perform a clean install(wipe everything except of sd card) and start setup without connection to internet, mi account login can be skipped, if you are not connected to internet.

Every thing is working fine but I can't download any theme from theme store.
