What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features.

Great ROM with some bugs
Thanks for the awesome ROM!!! I really love the Xperia ROMs since I had my xperia Z1. Somehow they have that wow feeling associated with it. This ROM is as good as the features mentioned. I encountered a couple bugs though.
SuperSU is not working. Not sure if there is any inbuilt SuperSU but it is certainly not working. I tried every possible way to make it work but it is not working.
I am not a hater of the inbuilt Music app and V4A; they are very good at what they do. But somehow PowerAMP is not working with this ROM. Every time I open it FC's within seconds. As I said I don't hate the inbuilt apps but PowerAmp is my Music powerhouse for any ROM. I simply cannot live without it.
If anyone can live without these apps, then I think this is a great ROM and a definite daily driver...
Going back to NucleaROM until the problems are fixed....
SuperSu seems to be broken in my build. Anyway just dont flash SuperSU and use the integrated SuperSU for now. I will look into it and i hope i will find soon a fix.

Mate, SuperSU is integrated in the rom. And Cm root dont work because SuperSU is here

Bro!!! The superSU problem is now fixed and is working like a charm. But the PowerAMP issue is still there. But I m using the default Music player as of now. Please try to fix PowerAMP when you get time

Heating near Earpiece Speaker
So Far everything is working absolutely fine here even viper4 android but I am experiencing some heating while i was browsing on chrome. also i was on 4g and network was fluctuation bit.
But chrome is giving issue or the phone was getting heated due to some bug.
I rebooted the phone.Working fine but sometime again heating much.
On which CM nightlies it is based?
Pretty beautiful rom, installed yesterday evening. Thank you, OrdenKrieger, do you plan to update it regulary?
It seems to have a battery problem. At least, my smartphone has now switched off, after only 1:30 DOT and about 8 hours runtime. Further, gallery app seems to lack. Flashing SU-binary during rom-install was OK, SU works without problems.
Niw got few more issues
Slow charging..very slow.
And battery backup is so less only 3 to4 hr of sot
Please fix as per your convenient time..waiting for update..

Alarm Clock is not working with stock Xperia Clock so you will need to use a third party app
In Snap Camera when you want to access the taken photos the app will crash, this issue will be fixed in the RL3 Revision 2
When you apply a wallpaper the phone will soft reboot itself but the wallpaper will be set eventually
Calendar may force close when you configure for the first time the phone, which means when you make a clean install

Hey guys, i told you i will come out with a new project, well here it is
Read the OP as always and don't forget i'm working alone on this project and this is only the begining, so if you don't like the fact that this ROM for now is too basic for you then you're on a wrong thread mate.
I will also post the screenshots in these minutes because i know you guys watch them always before trying a ROM

Yup i forgot to add the instructions to the OP. Just follow go on the CM thread and follow the Instructions from there... There are the same

The rom will probably get a better desenpenho jah you removed several apps, the rom as stated in Op has some things xperia, but looking at the pictures, it looks like just a cm slimmer 12.1, of course, appearances can be deceiving so I will try to see and feel for myself.

Good question! Camera is a big part of Xperias. So maybe we can use at least Pixel Master (if not Sony's default)? Instead of stock CM? I really dislike the stock CM one!

Sorry, but now it's impossible job.
This rom is great.fast and smooth but can't update driver in viper.it hangs all the time.please always update this rom.

I tried that kernel.good kernel indeed.But i was thinking to not use xposed.xposed might cause reboots problem.Need some time to know if xposed doing this mess.

xposed is not very stable for use.
but almost 6.0.1 rom for ZR have reboot problem.
this rom dosn't have xposed,but still have reboot problem
So I thinks for solve reboot problem,need tweak rom and kernel

Xposed is stable because I used xposed in cm rom and worked great without any problems.The main problem is with the rom or kernel itself.I have the cm 13 rom last builded by Chippa_a.That is still a great rom.No problem at all.Thank God I kept the rom as a backup.I hope next stable build will be coming soon.

I haven't try last cm13
because i really like xosp(though sometime reboot...)
xosp has xperia launcher and walkman(music)，I don't want try any MOD .so xosp is my betteer choice~
Hope next stable version coming soon too!

last cm13 support sony apps.and no random reboots issue.It is a beta version though but still like a stable one.

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

oh no, auto hide traffic monitor is still not work
Just test for 4 hours. This ROM is awesome except the system often reboots after a lagging/hanging.
UPDATE: Maybe the phone is too hot so system automatically restarts. I put it on the refrigerator to cool down and it works fine now .
This is what I did (C6603):
- Do a clean flash (ROM + XApps, GApps).
- Enter the google account then let device restores apps.
Ok The Rom is very good.
But the Battery Symbol is not my Favourite. How can i change it?

I have not any problems with SMS, try reset sms settings from settings.

In ROM's boot.img there is a TWRP 3.0.2, just flash boot throgh fastboot.

Messaging/settings/advanced/group messaging/ Pick the top menu here of bulk sms is sent .

What release of Marshmallow this ROM has, and also is it synced to the latest CM sources? I see that the release 2 has r13, but this ROM is on release 1, and on the build.prop it has the May security patch, and this is very confusing.

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the zenfone 2 which from there xosp development has continued ever since.

Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (there are 5 revisions until a new Release is made)
Releases are the final "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

Alarm Clock is not working with stock Xperia Clock so you will need to use a third party app
In Snap Camera when you want to access the taken photos the app will crash, this issue will be fixed in the RL3 Revision 2
When you apply a wallpaper the phone will soft reboot itself but the wallpaper will be set eventually
Calendar may force close when you configure for the first time the phone, which means when you make a clean install
none, Even FingerPrint is also working now
First time installing XOSP on your Redmi Note 3, or coming from another ROM?
Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you're running the latest TWRP

NOTE:- If you are coming From Santosh's CM/Siddesh's Rom/Mokee flourMO (which use to lock the bootloader)Most probably you will face Settings/Security Force close. Please revert all the changes made by that build.(by flashing MIUI LP)then flash XOSP again that force close will be gone

Sadly I am not able to install TWRP because MIUI overwrites the recovery, so I am stuck with MIUI atm, and I really do not want to brick my phone.
(I'm on China Dev)
Edit: Okay nevermind I got it working :silly:
So fp reader not working right now?
Cm13 and rescurion remix got fingerprint supported as of 6.0.
Pls check.

Xiaomi havnt released the MM-kernel so i cant do anything.
in my opinion FP should not be considered as a bug because it will work for sure if we have MM kernel we dont have it ATM
And now we have CM-Official tree so this rom is stable just stay tuned with Xiaomi when they will release the kernel i will update the rom with FP working

yeah i know about that but they are using Prebuild Kernel(copied boot image from Leaked MIUI MM kenzo roms)
and i dont think so that way of implementing FP is reliable and that relocks the bootloader(as android 6.0emmc file need to be replace and you may even endup with ****ed up IMEI)(before flashing that roms make sure you make EFS back)
i still prefer a Build with source build kernel (this rom will support Custom kernel also)if someone compiled any using CM kernel source but that Roms(fp working) will not even boot because MIUI-boot.img and dude just think
that boot.img is copied from Leaked images of MIUI-MM-Kenzo
1st leaked one are alpha roms
2nd that boot.imgs are designed for MIUI not for CM roms(we just some how got it working)

Is double tap to wake working?
i still prefer a Build with source build kernel (this rom will support Custom kernel also)if someone compiled any using CM kernel source but that Roms(fp working) will not even boot because MIUI-boot.img and dude just think
that boot.img is copied from Leaked images of MIUI-MM-Kenzo
1st leaked one are alpha roms
2nd that boot.imgs are designed for MIUI not for CM roms(we just some how got it working)
so this ROM wont relock my bootloader, right?

Nope, I did not brick, I made a full backup with Alka TWRP, and I tried out your ROM, and it's f..ing good But the Xperia notification sound is missing
I had some trouble with gapps (open gapps armx64 from their website) so I came back to MIUI and it's all good, but google play store is giving me error when I try to update / install apps... but I'll figure out something for this :laugh:

Bruh atleast wait for google play services and Google play store update themself to latest version they are working fine here i used this rom for a whole day and it was fine here.
Can I flash this ROM over my cm13 by santhosh?.. I unlocked the bootloader.. Can I flash the mm boot IMG so I can use FP working..

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by @nilac for the Galaxy S+ (your old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on your Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features.

Instructions on how to send a log
-Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.
-After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
-Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
-Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.
First time installing XOSP based to your S4 Mini, or coming from another ROM?
This is a version for testing and may contain some errors.
Make sure you are rooted.
Make sure you have a custom recovery installed.
(TWRP is the preferred recovery)
Download latest build
Download XOSPApps
(Download the corresponding XOSPApps version with the ROM)

Reboot recovery
Wipe data, cache(factory reset), dalvik/art cache and system.
Flash latest XOSP

random reboots
installed it. i like the look of the rom. however, the phone randomly reboots. secondly there is no charging animation to show that the battery is charging. otherwise its a good rom

Again, I say it's a real shame that you can't maintain any rom for all devices. You, csendre and maybe another one are the ones who do a compromised job building and maintaining for our devices :good:
Cant Complete Set up

Clean install the ROM, flashed open gapps AROMA package to cherrypick my google apps, but can't exit set up wizard. Sometime talkback is activated, sometimes touch is not active:crying:. Will try again with PICO gapps package from Opengapps. Love the new optimisation screen BTW...
please add lockscreen torch and network traffic monitor dont hide

Email doesn't work for me. Remains at password screen and nothing happens
The ROM works well.
The problems I'm facing are:
-Album app FC
-Tap to wake device not working
-And some animation glitches.
Hope it will be fixed in upcoming updates. Thanks @tioguda for this wonderful ROM!
