[Q] Xposed modules ?

Hi,
Ardent user of WSM here, but since the library of Xposed is much much bigger than WSM, let's share on this thread which all Xposed modules work with Xiaomi Mi3. :highfive:

Hi on stock miui rom i installed the following and are working great :
1. Boot manager
2. DoubleTapToSleep
3. Greenify
4. Mi-Tools
5. MinMinLock
6. ScreenOffAnimation
7. Xclip

Did you just install Xposed Framework from xda and then the modules one by one?

Using YouTube ad away. It works with WSM.

You can install wsm tools which uses Xposed Framework as base and then you can use all the xposed modules.

U should not install xposed framework. U need to install wsm tools & then install the modules. Or else u will end up in bootloop

HK theme manager
Does any one tried HK theme manager module, does it works. Can I install CM 11 themes on it?

Do not try any of the modules meant for AOSP ROMs as MIUI is heavily moded & conflicts with the already included xposed framework. As far as i know u cant install that module.

I don't think it matters which variant of the P7 you have. I recently tried a custom ROM by Lishuo which is based on B124 for the L07. Even Xposed 2.5 wouldn't install. I have no problem with my current ROM although I can't upgrade Xposed beyond V2.5. I suspect the earlier builds of the P7 stock ROMs are compatible (up to a point) with Xposed, but the later builds are not.

I'm on stock rom and I use Xposed version 2.5
Some module works, but most of them don't, which is sad. I mainly use it for gravity box which work at 85% I would say.

Stock B126 with Exposed 2.6.1
But using only for XPrivacy.

The problem is not the version of Xposed, the thing is you could be using the latest 2.7 version but it doesn't work on our devices for any "theming" thing. I guess it would work for XPrivacy but not if you want to use, lets say, GravityBox to theme the navbar.

I've had Xposed for some time, used it for Snapchat modules, and it worked fine. I installed GravityBox [KK] today and for some reason whenever I try to open it I get "GravityBox system framework not responding. Exiting."
Is it because I don't have theme engine disabled or is it something else?

I had it when I was using Xposed 2.6 or higher or when I didn't reboot my phone after instaling it (which is dumb ... I just forgot xD)
I'm now on 2.5.1 and I didn't touch disable nor enabled theme engine, I left it as it was when I installed Xposed 2.5.1

As far as I know, yes it should work

I just rooted my P7 and try instaling latest xposed. I have this error and framework is not instaling.
Should I install custom recovery too ?

Which version of Xposed do You recommend to reduce this limitations ?
EDIT:
I tested Xposed versions: 2.6 and 2.4.1 and 2.5
In ver. 2.6 You have to check on "Disable resources hook" option in settings. Another way Xposed don't start and inform about incompatibility with our devices . But with this option many module are blocking and dont work.
In ver. 2.4.1 and 2.5 There isn't this this restriction and Xposed starting normally and some module (blocked in ver 2.6) work properly but many also don't work.
In addition, this version changes the icons in the home screen theme. :thumbdown:
In any way on rom (B135) I can't use GravityBox module (irrelevant Xposed version). GravityBox interface don't even launch
And last problem. So, I didn't make backup set_immutable.list file o) . Somebody can help me and upload this file ?

I can only speak about the B121-126 which were the two version I used. On both, gravitybox was working perfectly with Xposed 2.5.1 (when I say perfectly, I mean about 85% of the tweaks were working)

Hey, I still have a problem with GravityBox (KK).
I am trying to use this module in the second ROM (B135 and now B136) but always have the same issue when trying to launch (see screenshot).
Any suggestions ? Did someone similar problem ?

hello miui lovers, this is a simple guide to help you install and get Google assistant working in miui 8 lollipop
things required
1. rooted miui to edit build.prop
2. Google app
3. Brain (^_-)
4. xposed installed if not follow the below steps or skip to main steps.
for lollipop, first install xposed installer apk and then flash this via recovery

main steps:
1. open root explorer (can use es file explorer with root granted) goto /system/build.prop and edit it and replace
or simply use build prop editor app from playstore and do the following changes like replace
ro.build.version.release=5.1.1 with
ro.build.version.release=6.0.1
2. now open xposed installer and goto download section, search for assistant enabler, install it and activate by rebooting the device
3. now go to settings > additional settings > language and input > voice input now select enhanced Google search
4. open security > permission and allow all the permission for google app and then go to autostart in permission and enable autostart for Google app and then remove Google app from battery saver
almost done
now open Google app > settings > voice > ok google detection and calibrate or train your voice model see next post for screenshots

yeah it works, do the same for kitkat too though you need xposed installed in kitkat

Rooted Device (Super su)
Based on MiUi 8 Lollipop
Installed Xposed Module (with Assistant Enabler)
Edit Buildprop From 5.1.1 to 6.0.1
Reboot after Everything and Also Enable Voice Service In Google App
But Nothing happens Can you check it again or please Show it via Video How you enable it from Google App.

currently on rr so can't do a video tutorial.. meanwhile, you update your Google play services and reconfigure assistant enabler (ok google anywhere) after doing so, upload the screenshot if you don't see "talk to assistant" under voice in Google app setting

that's where you're missing, edit your build prop carefully that should be 6.0.1 showing under about phone

I have magisk anager 5.4(57) and magisk 14 but I don't have this module listed (already deleted cach deposit) searched all the keywords but nothing
also if I get it working do we have to flash a new version everytime the dialer or contact app are updated or just installing new apps versions from apkmirror ?

Listed where? And this is not in official magisk module repo. You need to flash it manually after downloading from here.

Actually there was only a writo changed in v2.3 so i reverted name v2.2 for v2.3

1. It installed very well in TWRP.
2. Booting to "System" made a massive Optimization of 133 app's , coz of "com.google.android.dialer.support.jar" file , No Problem. :fingers-crossed:
3. Contacts app Installed and Working very well. :good:
4. Phone[Dialer] app Installed and not working , It's force closing for every start.
5. Message app on other hand it did not install and installing manually from your zip file also fail's saying "App not Installed" error.
I have fixed it back by disabling the module.

Phone & messaging apps are not working for you because of wrong apps for your phone. Provide me phone maximum resolution, android version you're using.

flashed v2.3 with magisk manager but the result -> all modules got deleted and couldn't install them again (instalation of a module goes well but that module isn't listed as installed even after reboot/delete magisk's cach/delete magisk's data), I solved the issu by uninstalling completly magisk and reinstalling it again. Didn't try to flash through recovery though (too afraid to reinstall all my modules again !)

Flash the module directly from twrp, this won't happen, this happens randomly with new magisk manager 5.4

I'll get my Max Resolution with DPI soon...
EDIT: Screen Resolution : 720x1280 pix's & Density : 320 DPI.

Yes, can be updated.

Try this new one, install from magisk manager & tell me similar issue happens or not..

ok it worked great through magisk manager with the latest 2.2.1 version, no modules disapearing bug
