I recently upgraded from the 6.1 to the 6.4 bliss and am experiencing battery drain. I did a full wipe and started over, installing nothing and turning airplane mode on. I let it sit and multiple times the top battery draining items reported are "Android OS" ~30% and "Cell Standby" ~ 15% each time I've tested. The battery lasts right around 24hrs, perhaps slightly less. I don't have cell service on the tab and as I said, I even am turning on airplane mode so I'm not sure why cell standby is burning battery.
Anyone else experiencing this or know a fix? Thanks.
Aside from that, I love the rom, thanks!

i think the device is not going to deep sleep. open kernel auditor and check frequency table, if deep sleep is in the unused CPU states then
open es file explorer and go to system/bin and delete rmt_storage and restart or make something that will make baseband unknown.

This seems to have fixed the issue. I went to bed with it fully charged after doing this and it's only used 8% battery after waking up. Prior to deleting that file, deep sleep did show not used. Now, it no longer shows that. "Android OS" is also no longer taking up any battery but Cell Standby still took 5%. I don't get why "Cell Standy" takes any battery since it's in airplane mode, but, it's not a significant drain.
Thank you for the suggestion to delete that file. I'm off to start installing apps back on it.

Flashed and it booted back up just fine. I'll install some apps then charge it up full and let it sit for a while to see how it does. Thanks again for the info and patch.

I still haven't had to charge the tab and it's been about 3 days. Minor usage as well, not just sitting. No random apps or services draining the battery at all. Thanks for helping.

Installs and runs great. Battery life isn't all that great but that's always iffy for a couple days. Most features are there. Heads up was a little hard to find, but I found the QS tile and turned it on. So far I've used 8% of my battery for 20 minutes of use. Screen on, and downloaded newest SOKP. I am on 4g and not WiFi. This post cost me about 2% battery life.
Really nice so far. Good work
Something new!, yes!, about to flash & test myself
Running good. Don't try with the Oct aroma gapps. It'll give you a crazy bootloop. Running good. Would like the hold slider for tap and hold

In accessibility. At the bottom there is a long press delay with the options of short medium and long. Some ROMs have a slider there and this allows you to select the milliseconds of the delay instead of just 3 predetermined delays. I keep mine at around 350 ms. Cause I ain't got no time to be Holden back buttons all day.

Well maybe try removing battery with your phone on but be holding power button at same time... Helped with some problem I had before I don't know why.. But supposedly will discharge current left in capacitors... Maybe causing ur phone to run to high voltage in turn your phone rebooting itself

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Don't disable Heads-Up. You wont be able to answer phone calls otherwise.
There is screen tearing on the first boot. It will go away once you cycle the screen off and back on.
You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

This is the plain-jane version no kernel tweaks, no fancy toolchains. I'm getting okay battery life, but I still need to charge it everyday.

Hello, without modding i got a battert life like one day with the screen on,4h
Any way to disable heads up in this ROM? It isn't doing anything and heads up keep appearing. Also tried disabling it with GravityBox but didn't work.

Latest nightly is pretty weird. Settings is crashing and there's no AICP extras.
20150603 nightly. Anyone else?
edit: did a fulll wipe and clean install and everything was ok..
I've been running this ROM with Beeeto's SaberMod Kernel. 0 compatibility issues. The only issue I've ever had is an issue with ambient display causing a black screen after phone calls or after deep sleep. I've had this issue on every ROM with that feature. Soooo great work! =D

I'm doing the same thing. Beautiful.
I'm also having the same issue with the ambient display.
Try gravity screen app. It's worth it.
I'm using this ROM too, but with it's default kernel. I'm getting a very good battery life here.
today i had the black screen issue twice within an hour. first one after a "app not working" message and the other one totally random after waking up from deep sleep.
and i'm not using ambient display anymore.
Just flashed the newest nightly from 6/12 and it seems promising. But does anyone know why the Settings keeps asking for superuser permissions? I don't have anything like Kernel Adiutor or the built in Ad Blocker (which doesn't work, by the way), turned on, but it still pops up. I just set SuperSU to deny it and disable the notifications, but it's still annoying to know it keeps asking. I wonder if it will affect the battery in any way if it keeps waking the phone up to ask for permissions.
EDIT: I've run into issues using AdAway with this ROM. Every time I reboot, it must change the hosts file because the ad blocker is "disabled" when I use my web browser and when I launch AdAway. Furthermore if I allow the Settings app superuser permissions, it seems to disable the adblock every time its request is granted. Therefore if you use AdAway, remember to re-download the host files after every reboot, and to deny the Settings app any superuser permissions. I recommend disabling toast notifications for Settings so you don't get notified every time it makes a request.
Great rom, daily driver but in last nightly battery is out of place when opening quick menu of data. Will this be fixed? Also any possibility to add the default font of the clock in status nar instead of the 'fine' font? If I select 'bold' for clock the clock is way fatter then default lollipop clock.. Also bug: rotation icon doesn't change in QS menu.
After looooong time.... We are very excited about it...

-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
-Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
-Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.
-You can also open trouble tickets on our website for bugs.

GUIDE, FAQ and Useful Links
Much of what follows applies to many ROMs. If you have suggestions for things to be added to this guide or find any errors then please let me know.
Purpose and Rules of XDA
XDA is a developers site. It is for learning and sharing. It is not here to "provide" apps or support to users. Most of the people that develop or help or support do so in their free time. No one "owes" you anything. You are not "entitled" to anything. Those that help others, are polite and try to help themselves will be more likely receive helpful and polite assistance.
Rule number one of XDA is : Search
Other rules include:
Be respectful
Be tolerant
Be hepful
Don't be an ass
Q&A or Dev Thread?
There is a separate development thread and Q&A/Discussion thread. Right now, I am happy for you to report all issues in the development thread.
But as it is a development thread, you should provide logs where ever possible and only report bugs if you have clean flashed. Telling others there may be an issue if you dirty flash is acceptable but please word it as such not a bug.
A little banter is accepted in the development thread, but please don't turn the thread into a chat room. Let's keep it fun but not so long nobody can be bothered to read, otherwise I'll have to revert to using the Q&A.
The Q&A is still there and available and is more "free".
Flashing
You should clean install for best results. If you "dirty flash" then at least wipe cache and dalvik/ART and you MUST provide logs with any issues.
Clean v Dirty Flash
There are a number of interpretations of clean flash. In recovery you should factory reset or wip everything except internal storage. This will wipe your apps and most app settings.
Whilst there are ways of backing up your settings they are not recommended because they can cause issues when there are changes to the ROM which affect how settings are stored or recorded. Do not restore system data: this often leads to forced closes and constant error messages.
You can use a backup app like Titanium Backup or Parcel. Sometimes restored apps can cause issues, and it is better and cleaner to re-download them, although not everyone has the time or inclination to do this.
If you do not wipe as per above, then you are dirty flashing. This is quicker and often works. But because things are left behind from the previous flash this can result in weird issues. When you dirty flash you really should wipe cache and dalvik/ART, so that there aren't residual
Reporting Issues
Before Reporting Issues
If you have issues with your new flashed system there are a few things to do before you report them.
First, if you have dirty flashed then try a clean flash to see if the issue remains - many issues are cleared this way. Also, it is very difficult to pin-point certain issues after a dirty flash.
Also, if you have Xposed installed then remove that before reporting. This is because Xposed can change things deep within the OS and make things behave differently, which in turn makes it very difficult to troubleshoot and resolve issues. This is Xposed hate - many devs require this and will not offer any support if Xposed is installed.
Reboot. It's surprising how many issues can be resolved by this simple step. Especially if an app is misbehaving or using a lot of battery.
How to Report An Issue
The biggest bugbear of those trying to help with issues is when they are not properly reported and require to have the same questions answered over and over. The circumstances may require different information, but here are a few common items to consider posting:
Version. Often people miss this and are reporting something that was solved days or weeks ago. Others say "latest" when it may not be. Quote the version number and/or build date.
Firmware. Again, quote the date or source.
GApps. The GApps version can affect which version of Google Play Services and PlayStore, amongst others that are used. Whilst often GApps can be "out of date" without any issue, when there is a lot of development by CM this can be very relevant.
Whether you clean or dirty flashed.
A log. Necessary if you dirty flashed, very useful even if you clean flashed. See below for how to do this.
How to replicate the issue. The more specific about how the issue arises and when, the more likely you are to get a quick resolution. If no one can replicate the issue it is unlikely they can resolve the issue.
How to Take a Log
This is an excellent guide.
Some kernels have their own log/bug report option to make things easier.

Frequently Asked Questions
No one answered my question.
Maybe no one has read it yet - you may need to give it time. Maybe no one knows the answer yet. Have you already tried to solve the issue? Were you polite? Did you give enough information? There is no need to keep bumping your post.
Which folder does the OTA file get downloaded to? Is it the full file or just the incremental update? Are there nightlies?
/sdcard/Download and it's the full file. They aren't nightly but they are normally very frequent.
Does BlissPop support Layers / RRO?
No. It has the CM theme engine.
Which kernel is best for....?
Stock is really quite good, so I'm not going to suggest any others, as there aren't many now and are easy to find on XDA. So much depends on you: your setup, apps, usage, signal. The list goes on. The real best way to find out is try them for yourself; give each one a few days to settle and you can observe battery usage, smoothness, speed, tweakability etc. But there is no Holy Grail kernel - one that gives the best of everything for everybody. "Performance" and "battery" aren't mutually exclusive, but most kernels are biased towards one or the other. Kernel governors and hotplugs also have an effect. If you are interested in a kernel, read some of the kernel thread.
One last point. When there are changes from CM the date and commits of a kernel can be important so the kernel and ROM aren't out of sync.
How is Battery Life
This often gets asked, but there is no clear answer that suits everyone. So lets start of by saying the team finds battery life to be very good.
There are however many things affecting battery life. Your apps, settings and signal all have a big effect. As does how often your apps are updating and whether over wifi or mobile data. Additionally, which kernel and it's settings also have an effect. As does screen brightness. Certain social and messaging apps can have a huge drain. How often you flash a new ROM has a big effect too. Ideally, from a battery life perspective, you should allow everything to settle and go through a couple of charge cycles. With the frequency of BlissPop updates I have never achieved this!
So every user will have different battery life and typical screen on time. Make sure when doing comparisons you really do it on a like for like basis.
If you want to investigate battery usage, consider apps like Wakelock Detector (WLD) and Better Battery Stats (BBS) as well as GSAM Battery Monitor. These will often pinpoint where battery is being consumed and what is waking your device. Quite often you will see an app misbehaving which can often be resolved with a simple reboot.

There are plenty of options out there. I have had most of my success using Banks gapps minimal or full. Other team members have success with open gapps. So I say just try what works for most, and if its no good, try another Just make sure to full wipe between gapps packages, cause mixing them can cause bugs.
I must be missing it, but is there a way to shut off the softkey backlight. I use the navigation buttons and somewhere inside here I'd shut off the softkeys too, which was intentional.

Not sure what you mean by the softkey backlight... The hardware keys are the only buttons with a backlight on this device. Do you possibly mean to disable the navbar?
No, the menu and return softkeys on the bottom on either side of the home button. Still poking around the rom yet, but there are tons of tweaks. Runs great!
Everything seems to be running good except for when I use the voice input when typing. I used it once then it kept showing the default wallpaper and sending me back to the lockscreen. Thanks in advance.
How do I update? Just flash and wipe dalvik and cache?

That's an odd issue... Would you mind letting me know what gapps package you flashed, and if you have tried more than one without wiping the system?

For updates, the updater script should wipe cache and dalvik for you, but I always do it manually afterwards out of habit
I flashed the latest banks gapps provided in the op.
My only issue is Bluetooth is goofy. When in car it will cut sound if I switch apps but stay on and connected......just without sound

This by far is the best custom rom out right now for the jftespr hands down. So many custom options, lightning fast, everything just works as it should. @electrikjesus you are the man, keep up the awesome work. I'm a huge fan of you're Rom and look forward to future updates
Has issues with bluetooth constantly disconnecting. Can send pics but can not receive them. The rom is cool enough but i think it must be based on an older cm rom as i know a month or so back cm had the same bluetooth issue. Thanks for the rom ill be back on it in a future revision.
Seems like I may of found a bug. While adjusting the volume sometimes the volume bar that appears will show up just not move even though the volume is going up or down.
Doesn't do it all the time but a reboot fixes it at least. Great Rom still!

Locking issue
I found a bug wherein locking the device for the first time after setup will not respond to power button presses., necessitating a battery pull. A temporary solution would be to install a kernel with double tap to wake or sweep to wake enabled by default. This way, there's more than one way to wake up the phone. Don't worry too much as this only happens once.
it seemed like a great rom which has things you would definately use...but i am experiencing Google play services force close issue in this rom i don't know why? it didn't let me sign in to my account, i used open gapps pico version dated 5/12/2015 i had used it previously with omni aswell which gave me no issues whatsoever...it would be awesome if you could point out a quick fix
anyways what is about quick charging how it works if it is working could you please provide flashable zip which could work with other rom aswell.
Cool! Use it as my daily ROM and no bugs so far. Smooth, great battery backup, nice sound. Can't wait for the next build. Good job, OP
Oh, wait, found this one small bug. My phone freeze at lock screen then become blank, and I have to remove the battery. Happened to me twice. Would be nice if you fix this. Cheers
it's crazy!!
this rom it's crazy!! Really really smoothness:fingers-crossed:aw!! When u update for next build guys? I can still waiting:good:
The ROM is awesome. Has all the features one could need. Although it would be nice to be able to add other things to the quick settings in status bar. (Like Screen timeout settings, screenshot button, screen recording, power menu etc) Please add that too.
Also, I'm Facing an annoying issue. The phone, sometimes after the screen is off just doesn't wake up. I tried pressing the power button, but no good. Heck, the screen doesn't lighten up even if the charger is connected. It's like the phone has completely stopped working. I have to remove the battery to get it back to usable mode. I'm also getting some random reboots here and there but I'll have to investigate this further. How to fix this?
Thanks
A bug :
When I turn mobile Hotspot on and try to change the password, the phone instantly reboots. I did a wipe and reflash but it occurred again.
Also, the problem with the phone freezing when the screen is off and not waking up unless battery is removed is persistent. Please fix these.
hello, i am facing a serious problem on every rom i flash , it goes to deep sleep and won't wake up without a battery pull

I was on latest Zeus kernel. I'd it not good enough?
As few users have already reported the bug....
Phone sometimes go to deep sleep and does not wake up even after pressing power button. you must need to pull out battery and reboot it this way.. No other way
Also the battery issue is weird and annoying.
I had my phone charged at night. I put it on airplane mode at night and when i woke up in the morning... battery was 0%
This is the best ROM so far in terms of speed and smoothness. But unfortunately can't use on daily drive cause of this 2 bugs.
Is there any way to resolve this issues without losing smoothness and speed
Reopened Developer is using CM source.
One of best simple rom I've ever tried on Android One. Such a shame it has no updates tho

Wow a new ROM! I'm going to install this right now.
*EDIT*
It runs pretty nice and the camera actually works. Using Open Camera. Is HDMI working or is it broken like the other CM13 ROMs?
Good ROM with Root tools. Quite smooth and good battery cost. But sometimes wifi disconnect. All good but wallpapers is too ugly....

FOR THE RECORD: I DON'T HAVE JEM.
HDMI is probably broken, because the source is almost identical.
Hope you guys like what you see.
UPDATE! BeanStalk 6.20 (MOB30Z)

Installation: full wipe / flash ROM + GApps / wipe cache + dalvik cache.
This is actually a very good build, so props to you OP!
A few things though. The device isn't deep sleeping at all. This causes a roughly 1-2% per hour discharge. Not a huge deal, but definitely should be fixed. Also, GPU and CPU performance leaves a lot to be desired. The system becomes quite unresponsive with simple tasks.

Do you use Greenify? If not there is no wonder "the device isn't deep sleeping at all" as well as "GPU and CPU performance leaves a lot to be desired". Don't forget it's a budget device with dual core processor, don't overload it, especially with live wallpapers.

Can you try changing ro.ril.disable.power.collapse in your build.prop to equal 0 and see if deep sleep is affected after a reboot? You can do this easily from kernel aduitor in system settings.
I tried this rom, but return to cm 11, the deep sleep issue is a big problem: From morning to night more than 30% of the battery drain, with cm 11 the kindle remains 98% more than a week without use.

@alexander_32, not sure if you're copping a condescending tune with me or not, but Greenify is only good for controlling what the system cannot as far as wakelocks. Running the OS barebones, it wasn't sleeping, and there were/are no apps keeping it awake. I know you have to assume that us "testing" the ROM don't know what there doing, but trust me, I've been at it long enough to know what I'm doing. But just so we're clear, I've frozen all of the apps from waking up the device, and after multiple reboots, it still won't sleep. And also, I understand this is a dual-core device, I know it has performance limits. But I've ran dual core devices that exhibited a lot less stutter running CM. All I was saying is what I've experienced, as to potentially offer assistance with making the ROM run more efficiently. And also, I personally think Live Wallpapers are garbage, and for the sake of device performance, would've already disabled them in an effort to improve device performance.
@r3t3ch thank you for your contribution to a potential resolution for one of the issues listed. I'll report back to provide an update if that fixes it. My screenshot shows its vbus USB, and honestly, nor sure if that's some sort of USB detection system or what.

My personal experience: after deleting useless system apks (before flashing) in system/app and priv-app folders, greenifing almost everything except Smart Launcher, Twilight and system apps like CyanogenMod Syetem, CM Settings Storage etc, disabling boot at start for each app except Smart Launcher, Twilight, Youtube (doesn't work without it), Cleaning junk, cache, art/dalvik cache, it changes from 100% to 99% in 6-7 hours and no complaints about that.

I found the source of the deep sleep issue. It'll be fixed in the next build in about a day or so.
Edit: flash this boot.img from twrp (Install > Install Image > select boot) for a quick deep sleep fix
Works perfectly!

Likely not, we just made it like it should be.

Boot is the same; maybe the one posted earlier doesn't have holding volume down to go into fastboot, not sure. For the rom itself, I think the only big change upstream from cm13 was hexolibre.

there seems to be an issue with the wifi, i have 5ghz wifi set to channel 149 and for some reason the tablet wont find any network with the channel higher than 48, any idea how to solve this? for me using a channel lower than 149 is not an option.
