Thought it would be interesting for UK people. This forum should be quite neutral as people from all groups have phones.
Can you only vote please if you are from the UK and intend to vote. Thanks.

Anyone seen the MDA III

Anyone seen or used the MDA III. It look absolutely smashing (well from the photos that I saw).
Anyway I hear that it might come out on T-Mobile UK.
IS THAT CORRECT AND IS IT WORTH LOOKING FORWARD TO!?
there was one on ebay
was in hong kong for a business trip and hooked up with some mates o mine. one of them works for one of the largest pc-techie shops and he had one...pre-sale item. was able to fiddle around with it; not bad but personally i'm not inclined to having the keyboard. all in all it's okay but nothing to rave about...think i'll wait for the mda4

@notnoelchannel Thanks for the heads-up. Affirmative, it's not yet completely but nearly 20 years old but it's allowed to live on XDA. Or what did you mean by your post, by which you brought this thread "back to life" from the very ancient XDA times.
Please let me know what your comment means and if you believe any moderator action is required.
Same like above also applies to your post here.

Err...ok?
First, nice fail, mate posting a Google account link. Secondly, we don't really "like" peeps promoting their sites here in XDA...so, thread closed.

@Klidsan Thread has been closed but alos moved to the Redmi 9T forum!
Change or edit of IMEI's is illegal in quite a few countries, and as such XDA doesn't want to be a platform to discuss or support such activities. Please, in accordance with the XDA Forum Rules don't get us into trouble and refrain from such requests in future:
9. Don't get us into trouble.
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things which will obviously lead to legal trouble. If you wouldn't do it on your own homepage, you probably shouldn't do it here either. This does not mean that we agree with everything that the software piracy lobby try to impose on us. It simply means that you cannot break any laws here, since we'll end up dealing with the legal hassle caused by you. Please use common sense: respect the forum, its users and those that write great code.

Discussion about thread posting or forum moderation on XDA?

Hi there,
Is there any channel on the forum that enables member to discuss about the thread posting or moderation?
Or shall members keep it in private with moderators?
It is a pity that personal judgement weighed over rules.
[CLOSED] Question on thread posting
Hi there, I firstly posted two questions in the original thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-other-directory-than-platform-tools.4536847/ Question 1: would it be possible to adb pull partition (ex. userdata) to any other location than...
forum.xda-developers.com
Please refer to the relevant rules of the forum.
Thanks in advance.

Hello @wenyendev
I'm surprised about your above questions as I think I'd already clearly provided you with the answers in my announcement in your closed thread that you've linked. However, as a non-native English tongue I don't want to rule out that my English skills are too weak to have expressed it well enough. In case of further questions, feel free to contact me or @TNSMANI like I've already suggested in the linked thread by private message (PM).

I can assure you that all moderators know the rules of this private website very well and that all have the capability to assess, which rules are relevant in a specific case.
And I'm grateful that you share your personal assessment "that personal judgement weighed over rules." I like to refine that statement that any moderator's assessment and judgement is always based on and driven by the forum rules. If you've any doubts about this and don't want to contact the respective moderator by PM, you can always complain at any Senior Moderator of your desire (names available here) or at the @Moderator Committee.

Hi Oswald Boelcke,
Thanks for your clarification and following me.
I said "personal judgement" simply because no rules were explicitly cited for the closure of my two threads, for example, whether members shall discuss about thread moderation in the forum or contact moderators in PM.
Thanks for your consideration.

@wenyendev I appriciate your explanation and now understand better.
Different then e.g. the laws and rules in my country and society, the rules of this private website, which were implemented by the owners of the website, are indeed not written just black or white. The rules - at the same time guidance for the website's user - are supposed to be easily readable i.e. in a limited scale with "only" 16 paragraphs and not intended to provide for all contingencies. For this reason, every moderator is happy willing to close related gaps and to explain his decision if asked by a private message. None of us moderators would deny such a request with the argument that XDA is a private website and the XDA staff doesn't owe any user a justification.
And please allow me a private remark as somebody who looks back onto already nearly 67 years of life: It's quite often much more successful to demand something privately instead of going into the public.

Hi Oswald Boelcke,
Thanks for your reply.
Alas, I could only express my regret that my threads were closed not by the rules of the forum but by personal arbitration.
Regards,
PS: I appreciate your frankness on English language. In the era of television, image often pretends to be more grandiose than message. A true Master may not necessarily master language, for example, Mingyur Rinpoche. : )
Looks like a DM could've clarified this but I see the tongue and cheek and appreciate a smirk haha

That's Telegram, not XDA, and no official via the company itself at their official link. Not interested in Telegram-only offerings.

@aLcaTr4z I've sanitised this thread from your references to Telegram and deleted a similar post by you in this thread. Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. These conditions obviously don't apply to you, your threads or your posts. Additional information is also available here:
Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA. What does that mean? We will allow links to messages...
forum.xda-developers.com
In future, please refarin from sharing of references to Telegram groups in your posts!
And allow me to give you another heads-up: In this forum, it's not on you to tell our members what to ask and what not. If you're unhappy with a post, please just report that post in question.
Thanks for your cooperation.

@Oswald Boelcke, how makes this sense? Shall we all live in this XDA bubble only here? Scared of Telegram? I mean, now it makes sense to me while all flee from this here to Telegram. With such "Rules". Sorry for bothering.
You can ask the dev to update the main post with the telegram link, if he doesn't want it then there is nothing anyone can do about. Every site has their own rules and what is allowed, if you don't like some thing about them then you either don't reply or use the services.
What is the best Rom for battery life?

Mam, Sir. It might not make sense to you but I know it makes a lot of sense to many of our XDA users. As you are voluntarily using this private website nobody denies you to "flee to Telegram". But as long as you continue to post on XDA you have to abide by the forum rules, to which you agreed to adhere when you registered a few years ago.
