Finally we can have 4G band 20 ( 800 mhz) ! - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 [Snapdragon] ROMs, Kernels, Re

As you know, xiaomi has released a new version of redmi note 3 pro for taiwan market, and it support the 4g band 20 ( 800mhz ), i got the idea to flash only modem, and test if i can get the band. And it's work !
I'm on MIUI V8 6.6.30 EU ( android 5.1.1 ) and i get the modem file from miui_HMNote3GlobalPro_V7.3.9.0 the special edition ported by AndersonAragao :
http://en.miui.com/thread-300096-1-1.html
But i guess that will work with original special edition modem.
HOW TO INSTALL :
Download ROM
Extract it and get NON-HLOS.bin file from firmware-update folder
Flash it with fastboot ( unlock bootloader requirt ) : fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin, and Voila !
PHOTOS

EDIT
I'm not 100% sure that the trick work ! So test it if you want (can) and leave a feedback.
obviously we can lose Calling after flashing modem, so thanks MadVegetable for his feedback
Solution :
get Root, then go to /system fix "build.prop" as this:
change
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
to
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=none

This is amazing, thank you!!!
It would be even more awesome if someone make a flashable zip...

Could you explain how we should read those screenshot? How do you understand that after flash your phone can detect 800mhz band?
Inviato dal mio Redmi Note 3 utilizzando Tapatalk

Flashed it on MIUI.EU 6.5.26 . No problems so far. I am on band 3+7+20 will test it tomorrow.
Update 4-7-2016: Not working only 3G not connecting to 4g band 20. If i use my SG S4 i have 4G band 20 the RN3 with this modem does not connect.

is it possible to flash if i have xiaomi.eu rom installed (therefore TWRP)?

That test not see effective. A more effective test would disable all frequencies with QXDM and activate only the frequency 800, so the only frencuencia for 4g will be 800.
Zakariachelsea Please put two screenshots of before and after in RAW mode

After flashing this modem that you posted from zippy my SIM isn not detected anymore and my baseband version is unknown on MIUI 6.6.23 V8 MM.
I have reverted to the original modem and all is fine again.

Same for me running latest Resurrection Remix.
After flashing back to cm 13 Radios everything is working again.

Actually 7.3.9 ROM has 7.3.5 modem file. AndersonArageo ported the rom but it did not start when modem.img is in the zip file. That means you flashed 7.3.5(Android 5.1.1) img file on 6.6.30 and it works thats all. Last 2 photos places are different, just check the map carefully.

it most likely won't replace imei. at least it didn't do that for me. but better backup your efs before flashing.

Zakariachelsea here I put the test that you are not at 800 mhz.
I'm not French but I searched a page that displays information for each mobile station.
In the first image you see the two towers that you show in your screenshots

Let's see now

I tested the modem now in my phone, i can see the 4g when i put the signal search in manual mode and i can select it, but during the speed test, the internet connection is slow. Also, i can't see the 4g icon in the signal bar. With the original modem, i can't see 4g, because in my city there is only 800mhz for TIM

that is FREE the operator
it doesnt have any 800mhz 4g towers. only 1800 and 2600
but the picture for our friend are from bouygue telecom who uses 800mhz 4g.
https://www.antennesmobiles.fr/ look here you can check the 4 french operators free, orange, sfr(vodafone) and bouygue telecom.
bouygue telecom where he lives
LTE 791 à 801 MHz
LTE 832 à 842 MHz
LTE 1765 à 1785 MHz
LTE 1860 à 1880 MHz
LTE 2535 à 2550 MHz
LTE 2655 à 2670 MHz
more i dont know how this towers works but voila i think 800 is for long range 2600 for close? if i remember

so is it safe to flash this? i dont want to mess the phone

now i understand what i means
he could only see the 4g tower near his house on 1800 or 2600mhz (close range 4g)
but now he can see the other tower who is farder away from his house so on 800mhz (long range frequency) okay good good !) will need to try that tommorow (dont want to brick the phone also need some more info, it's my daily phone)

Well then now confirming that the operator has 800 mhz, the only thing for sure is to disable the rest of frencuencias with QXDM.

[DEV] Kernel for galaxy mini pop plus s5570i

I made this for man to discuss about making a CM kernel for S5570I
It have the same hardware with glx y,like a glx y with different screen size, can use any stock rom of glx y without any modify
Sir hell lock plz post any thing u need help here
Hope this will bring bright to the future of s5570i
I will update this post once i know st new
First all. You can't port ROM without changing Kernel, Keys, and libs. About kernel... hmm... if i have this device i would make one. Cause Pop Plus have 832 Mhz Processor, can OC up-to a Giga-Hertz (Maybe), this phone is NEXT generation of Mini :highfive:
claudiotimo said:
Wow! if you can do that you'll be my god xD . However galaxy mini plus have the same hardware as galaxy y we can ports roms of it, we ony need a cm kernel and possibility for overclock.

How about stock kernel but with OC Support ?
Eyes on it. It would be interesting and probably all s5570i owners will pray
I am intrested to in one of those kernels. One that is capable to OC ( up to 1Ghz/or something there) to underclock to 156Mhz ( or something like this) and to undervolt. This can be posibble, right?

UV = Can't be done, somehow the stock kernel are un-voltable (lol, or i was lazy, don't know)
OC = Working on it, since i don't have the device. I test it on my brother Mini Plus, so i will need he got back from school.
Also, OC cannot reach a Giga Hz (1 Ghz), i can only limit it into 982 Mhz, i got 1 Ghz working but it just reboot. On 9xx Mhz it got very hot. On 8xx i got it stable.
So you set OC max freq to 8xx or you let it to 9xx? UC can go down to 1xx? It has ondemand, powersave or smartass v2 scaling on it? "thanks" for helping us

One dev of our said that under 356mhz can cause reboot then he remove that frequence and the kernel with less frequence but not get reboot
One more,i think the 832mhz working very well,a bit lag but good. Now we need a cm kernel to boot the cm7,hell lock was busy cant help
832 is the default value of freq. it cant lag into that freq. Under 312 it can go into sleep of death ( or something like that ) i dont think it can reboot into that freq.

Now fixing the OC.
Finally. My Brother are going to his University in US. So i can't meet his Mini Plus until 2014, so sorry everyone.
Here's my last untested work :
1. Fixed OC
OC Up to 1031 Mhz (My brother Mini Plus stable up to 972 Mhz)
2. Undervolted
3. Governors Support :
smartassV2, smartass, MiniX Plus, ondemand, ondemandx, userspace, lionheartX, lionheart, performance, powersave, CPUMaster, etc...
4. I/O Support :
noop, sio, etc...
Tested and Working :
1. OC Up-To 972 Mhz (it's hot !)
2. smartassv2, smartass, and ondemand Governor (other governor are almost make me crazy)
3. noop only I/O
Another features :
1. New Bootsplash by flowish
2. ReNamed kernel version (3.0.8, hehe... )
3. Fixed battery drain
4. Fixed lags in 832 Mhz (thanks to Flowish for his Chocobread)
5. Fixed performance, now 832 Mhz feels like a Giga Hertz (1 Ghz)
6. No Bootanimation (Fastest boot i ever had in Mini Plus)
7. No more fancy things (Improve performance)
Downloads :
1. GigaBoot Kernel (Later... sorry, have no time)
2. PerformanceMaster Kernel (Untested, have 99.00 % Brick chance)
3. Fancy Kernel (Have no time to upload)
so wich one if those 3 kernels is the one that you sugest us? wich one is capable to do everything that you have mention above? Thanks you for doing this kernel.

LOL. True, true, but the G906S is no slow coach! It is noticeably more responsive than the G900F. Oh, and not forgetting the OIS camera which is also much faster.
It's a shame that they don't make an unlocked UK version of the G901F. I'd actually be interested in that, for the more universal UK radio bands.

I'm thinking about buying this phone to replace my Galaxy S4, but I'm a bit worried since there is no GPE version and I'm not sure how functional CM/AOSP ROMs are for this device. I certainly won't be keeping TouchWizz...
The Galaxy S5 LTE+ is being sold here in Germany, but it's not listed on their web site, shich is pretty confusing btw...
Does anyone know how well "clean" ROMs work on this variant? How well does Google Camera work on TW-Free ROMs? I had trouble with that on my S4. On the GPE ROM HDR images worked fine in Google Camera, but on ASOP/CM ROMs you can't use the HDR function at all, it just returns gray pictures without content. Is this also a problem with the S5+?
Thanks.

Thanks for the information. Yeah...this telephone is great except for the hangouts lag which is insufferable!!! How is this possible? I'm disappointed...
Another question...do you think that we will recieve the 5.0 update at the same time than standard galaxy s5 or maybe it will take more time due to the specific hardware of this s5 version??

I think we will recieve the update on December:good::good:
It would be so much easier if Samsung had provided a GPE edition of the S5 like they did with the S4...
About the Update:
I don't think Hardware is an issue, it's jsut a different SoC, no big deal, however, the S5+ 901F has a far smaller userbase and thus might be updated a lot later. Samsung is funny that way...
But let's hope the market pressure they are facing forces them to rethink their strategy. There is always hope...

Also the files in the CUST are Settings which make mobile Bandwiths available.
as you see in the picture above this settings are for sample wich network is the phone can use.
This Cust (and the software) is the diffrent between a L05/L07/L10 . The Hardware is the same only this is the
diffrence between them.
In the picture below , you will se the local.prop wich go's over the Build.prop.
That means first the setting from Build.prop will stick and the settings from local.prop
so if the build.prop says as a sample "callrecord=true" but the local.prop say "callrecord=false"
the local.prop settings are the one who will be set.

Could you mention more functions that are related to this partition?
So I see you're from Germany, too, but in your list there only is a "EU"-Version no DE or something like O² ... so EU is right for us?

I have flashed cust and eu, but cannot find it.

this is normal because the B608 wont display cust even if i force it to show the info...
but you can look under data/cust/prop/local.prop
and check the cust version in the buttom . it should be the right one when flashed it

Thank you!
Guys does this work 100% on L10 ?
thnx
Hello, I flashed the current version of the CUST file 1.1. Since that I'm receiving a very high amount of battery consumption. In addition the phone get's quite warm. When I turn filght mode on, the phone cools down and the battery drain goes away. Did I forget to edit something in addition ? I only flashed the file and didn't change anything else. First I thought it was caused by the custom ROM. But I get this high battery consumption on Se7ven and MIUI ROM. Can anyone provide assistance ? My device is an Ascend P7 L10-Version, and I'm using at the moment CWM recovery (because I'm unable to make TWRP working again)...
PS: Can you provide the original CUST files. I would need one for a german L-10 -> So EU.... ?
Seems I managed it. Probably to bad signal reception the phone always searched for an network carrier to receive. From time to time it lost the signal because of very bad reception here and searched and searched again to find a new carrier. I locked the thing now on my local carrier in default 2G mode and I'm at 65% battery life over 11 hours with light usage. I think this is ok...thanks for the CUST file, awsome
Greets,
Max

When trying to flash cust partition on G8 I get
Code:
D:\...\platform-tools>fastboot flash cust "D:\...\Extracted\cust.img"
target reported max download size of 266338304 bytes
sending 'cust' (118493 KB)...
OKAY [ 3.730s]
writing 'cust'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 3.736s
With modem partition the same. But boot, system, recovery work fine....
Any ideas?

[TUTORIAL] How to unlock more LTE frequency bands on Mi Note Pro

This tutorial was not made by me, all credits go to ethan2k he posted a thread on miui forum.
Hi All,
After 3 days of researching and semi bricking my phone, I have now worked out how to properly unlock most bands of LTE for international use!
NOTE: This guide is for Xiaomi Note Pro 64gb China version only.
***** THIS GUIDE WILL UNLOCK THE FOLLOWING BANDS: 4G bands: LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 17(700), 20(800), 28(700) *****
First of all download this package. I have zipped it up into seperate folders.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-0Lr302nDVcbXhsSWxWdktOZGM/view?usp=sharing
This driver pack only works on Windows 7!! Win 8 and 10 are not working!
Here goes:
1. Unzip the package into anyplace on your PC
2. On your phone type in: *#*#717717#*#* This will enable Diag USB mode for your phone
3. Before you plug your phone in, enable USB Debugging
4. Plug in USB cable into your phone, then go to Device Manager -
* Update the driver for Device Manager --> Ports (Com & LPT) --> Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9025 from the Zip folder: "1. Xiaomi Diag Driver"
{

}
It should now look like this, remember what Com Port the Diagnostic 9025 is using, in my case its on COM11.
5. Install "2. QPST v2.7 Build 4.11" from zip package
6. Install "3. QXDM-3.12.714" from zip package
7. Open up QPST Configuration
8. Go to Ports tab - By default it should have found the phone and auto added the port.
9. Leave QPST running in background
10. Open up QXDM Professional
11. Go into Options --> Communications --> Enable the Com Port your phone is running on.
12. Back to QXDM main window, in the "View" drop-down menu, select NV Browser
13. Now the fun part begin
Inside the NV Browser window, scroll down and click on line 01877 (rf_bc_config)(1); click the Read button(2), save somewhere the original value in case something goes wrong (inside notepad or anything), replace Input value with 3460734838925427584(3) and click on Write button(4).
14. Inside the NV Browser window, scroll down and click on line 00946 (band_pref_16_31); click the Read button, save somewhere the original value in case something goes wrong (inside notepad or anything), replace Input value with 0x0FF8 (please don't be an idiot and don't edit the empty one with "nam" in the name) and click on Write button.
15. Inside the NV Browser window, scroll down and click on line 02954 (band_pref_32_63); click the Read button, save somewhere the original value in case something goes wrong (inside notepad or anything), replace Input value with 805765120 (please don't be an idiot and don't edit the empty one with "nam" in the name) and click on Write button.
16. 10. Inside the NV Browser window, scroll down and click on line 00441 (band_pref); click the Read button, save somewhere the original value in case something goes wrong (inside notepad or anything), replace Input value with 0x380 (please don't be an idiot and don't edit the empty one with "nam" in the name) and click on Write button.
17. Inside the NV Browser window, scroll down and click on line 06828 (lte_bc_config); click the Read button, save somewhere the original value in case something goes wrong (inside notepad or anything), replace Input value with 2061853925599 (please don't be an idiot and don't edit the empty one with "ext" in the name) and click on Write button.
18. On your phone type in: *#*#717717#*#* This will now disable Diag USB mode
19. Reboot your phone and its all complete!!!
If you are having troubles with the values I suggest using the NV Calculator app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.nvcalc
I will try later. Thanks

Does this work ? I'm getting my phone in a few days, would love to have 800Mhz(20) range
Incredible, fantastic!
Would it work on windows vista 32bits on PC or on windows 7 32bits through OS X?
Will it work as well after updating to arriving 5.1.1 based Miui ROM?
Try windows 7
It should work on latest miui
Hi, I tested the guide . It enables 4g on the phone . my operator works on 800mhz , however a samsung note 3 with the same operator goes 4g , while my maximum HSDPA. I'm running miui Multi 5.9.17

Sorry, my mistake. I was redirected to this post from the Redmi Note 2 forum.
I thought this thread was about unlocking the "redmi note 2 prime" version while I own a standard clocked variant. My fault

No one yet said something like "yeah it works"?
No luck with this on band 20 on O2 in the UK.

[PORT] CyanogenMod11 4.4.4 for Xperia E1

Keep it in mind that this port still has system breaking bugs, so be careful what are you doing.
I wasn't the one who made this port, I just posted this here as I couldn't find it anywhere

Working:
-Wi-Fi
-Sound (If you plug a headphone in it still works, so you can listen to music)
-Leds (Illumination led bugs out)
-Auto-rotateing
-Auto-brightness
-Video drivers (You can play games, but If you play a game like Subway Surf the phone starts heavily lagging)
Not Working:
-Bluetooth (Check second post for update)
-GPS, Calling
-Lock Screen (+ Lockscreen settings)
-Walkman button
-Camera
Bugs:
-Navigation bar after first boot doesn't work (Temporary Fix: Open Settings app, and close it)
-Lock Screen is bugged, and it is not working
-Sometimes If you reboot your phone, It will do it 2 times in a row
-Sometimes when watching a video with Chrome, you can't adjust the volume (Temporary Fix: Open Settings app, Sound, and adjust the volume, and go back)
-(?)Root doesn't work if you boot for the first time (You have to go to PhilZ TR, and assign root)
Don't use this ROM as a daily driver, as this still has ton of bugs that needs to be fixed
Credits: Huge thanks to Indonesia E1 group, and Papsky Vanie that did this amazing effort!

There is a way to flash a ROM through Locked Bootloader, but It is risky, and i don't know how to do it
We should also get Satvik Shukla involved in this to speed up the process
and tell him nothing is impossilbe
i think u can install it with lockbootloader, this rom dont need to change kernel,it works with stock kernel

Looks like they are using condor, and everything inside is condor.
But there are no sources so i cannot do anything at all.

Can we "port" sources aswell? For example, the sound drivers from an other Phone that works very well with E1, and make it work with E1's base source?
When I installed this on my phone I was totally blown away by the performance. There is no lag at all and the internet browser is super fast but I encoutered some problems like play store crashing and as already mentioned above network not working. If the mobile network and all the play store apps work then I will probably use this as my daily driver. I know its stupid but the overall performance is way better than sony's stock version and also there is less ram usage.
Thank You so much if you need any help from me just ask me.
I will also try to fix the calling and lockscreen problem if I can over the weekends and report back to you
By the way we also need a flashable Gapps for this rom
Any ideas about gapps

Would any of you guys be interested in a GPU overclock kernel? I've found the file that is responsible for the GPU clock on MSM8X10 Devices. I believe our Adreno 302 on a 28nm process should be able to handle an extra 133 MHz on the device. So I've edited the file in arch/arm/boot/dts/msm8610-gpu.dtsi and change 400 MHz to 533 MHz. I have a locked bootloader due to the carrier lock on my device so I can't try it out. I will compile the kernel after my exams using the Christopher83 Linaro 4.8.x Toolchain and upload the kernel on my Github.

I saw the Moto G Adreno 305 GPU overclocked to 533 MHz. I can make 450 MHz versions, 500 MHz for people who think that a 33% overclock might have an extreme detrimental effect on their battery.
Any new updates?????
I also heard that Siokrismarios is working on a CM 12 port
So Kizoky you should ask Siokrismarios Indonesian E1 team Satvik Shukla and Papsky Vanie to collabrate and work together to speed up the process
I hope this happens so we start seeing nightiles and hopefully a stable version by end of this month.
This might help you
