[Latest 4.1.1] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates - OnePlus 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Credits :- @Grarak for Recovery. @Spannaa for inspiration and SuperSU (SuperSU here is just a Systemless version made by him). I really wish Spannaa gets an OP3 and maintains this. No one can replace him.
First of all, sorry for not publishing it at XDA earlier. I kinda forgot.
The latest full version can be downloaded directly from OnePlus downloads.
There are two types of file for each ROM: signed flashable zips and OTA incremental update zips.
Signed flashable zips: These are recovery-flashable zips of the full ROM that won't overwrite your data partition. They can be flashed via stock or TWRP recovery.
OTA incremental update zips: These are recovery-flashable zips that update your rom to a newer version. They can be flashed via stock or TWRP recovery but will only work on non-rooted devices with no modifications to system files.
I've also included links for TWRP custom recovery and SuperSU.
Note: Since OTA incremental update zips will fail on rooted devices or devices with modifications to system files, it's not possible to use these to update without reverting back to completely stock, unrooted first.
To update you must either wait for the new, full, signed flashable zip to appear (usually a few weeks after the OTA update) or use the following workaround:
Boot into TWRP recovery
Flash the latest full signed flashable zip
Flash the new OTA incremental update zip
Flash the SuperSU zip
Reboot
The result is exactly the same as if you'd flashed the new, full rom zip.
Signed flashable zips

This thread is a collection of OTAs and Full ROMs on mirrors so that even when OnePlus removes them from official places, they are still available. Also, official link is too slow, TBH. On my 100 Mbps, it is downloading at clost to 100 kBps.
See OnePlus One or OnePlus 2 section to know what I mean. These mirrors are always helpful and fast.

Tnk alot naman..

This is unmodified signed Zip. If you can't flash that zip, chances are you won't be able to even flash this. Grab me a recovery log so that I can find the issue. Please note that it takes some time for progress bar to move though.

i tried another way then it worked,
if i reboot after 008 then reboot, it switch to my twrp, then 1 get error7 with ota zip
Flash full rom 008 then OTA 008-010 then reboot, finally it works, dunno what happened

Actually just flashing full ROM twice also fixes the issue. I had the same with 3.1.2 Full Zip. First flash returned error. Second flash succeeded.

Are the OTAs region specific?

You have to ADB Sideload. Because of encryption, you can't do Install from Local.

Question... I'm sure I know the answer, but want to confirm. If we have SuperSU and XPosed flashed, then we need to do the full image, which although it won't delete data will make the phone like new, yes?

Yes. You need to flash full ROM. And then again root and xposed.

@Naman Bhalla, I'm rooted, installed xposed and also disabled forced encryption. Here i want to ask if i flash full 3.2.0 zip and then supersu via twrp, whether my phone remains non encrypted or encrypted

I haven't tested it myself. So, can't say for sure. Actually by encryption, we mean data is encrypted. So, it is basically wrong to say phone will become encrypted or so. But the newer files will/should be encrypted making some other files inaccessible or so. Thus, it suggest you to immediately flash a kernel that is decrypted by default after flashing OOS 3.0.2

[ROM] Community Build 3.5.4 Out Now

Hi everyone,
The CB 3.5.4 is out
This update includes:
Added new App Lock feature
Fixed keyguard crashes when enabling sim card lock in multiple languages
Optimized accent colors in default themes
Optimized translations for certain languages
Improved the quality of expanded screenshots
Increased system stability
General bug fixes
Download full zip with Hot Fix : Link
Drive Mirror by @rkrohan
AFH Mirror by @shafi31
If you’ve already flashed a previous community build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data my transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the community build, you’ll continue getting community OTAs.
- Feedback on UI/UX: https://goo.gl/forms/BioIINdnCsUhTauc2
- Bug reporting sheet: https://goo.gl/forms/P2DPrEqQWIafmyyE3
Note: If you flash this community build, you’ll receive community OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.

If you come from Official Build or CB Dirty Flash would work fine
Flash the Updated TWRP 3.0.2-22 either image flash via existing TWRP or via Fastboot Mode
1. Boot into Modified Recovery:
2. Wipe Dalvik & Cache
3. Flash the full 3.5.4 Zip
4. Wipe Dalvik and Cache
5. Flash SuperSu (Optional if you need to maintain root)
6. Flash Xposed, Kernel any other mods (Optional)
7. Flash Modified TWRP as image (even if you are already on it)
8. Reboot to into recovery directly to verify TWRP still functional (this will prevent recovery from being overwrite by the stock)
9. Reboot System & Profit
PS: System will reboot twice if you flashed SuperSU, Dont Panic
If you come from a custom rom, i recommend a clean flash.
After the recovery update by @eng.stk we no longer need to run the CB 3.5.4 with 3.2.X firmware and the latest Kernel is r137 which can be flashed.
Check out his download page here and always flash the latest

What I did for installing 3.5.4 :
I was on 3.5.3, using Twrp 3.0.2-19
I downloaded 3.5.4 and clean flashed using TWRP 3.0.2.19.
After installation,I pressed Reboot. I got a warning : No system installed, still I slided for reboot. I went black but I forced phone to restart again. after a few mins, It rebooted.
I went back to Recovery, but it cleared TWRP and installed Stock recovery, again I flashed TWRP 3.0.2.19, and installed SuperSu.
Now, everything is allright.

Is it still needed to use the modified TWRP?
What would happen if I install official TWRP after having installed and booted 3.5.4?
Would it break something or the system would boot normally?
Great! Downloading

Read the FAQ dude
Can we use another recovery system other than the Oxygen recovery?
TWRP is a popular recovery and we have provided flashing instructions if you are using TWRP on the OnePlus 2 and X.
The instructions we have provided are device specific, so please make sure you read the instructions for your device.

The update message also says Added option to adjust background colors and control default theme. But download.oneplus.net page doesn't mention this in their changelog. Weird.
Could anyone check if the changing DPI messes with the quick toggles?

[ROM] OxygenOS Open Beta 9 (Nougat) Update and Installation!!

Hi everyone,
We appreciate everyone’s feedback from the OxygenOS Open Beta 8. With your help, we have optimized and improved several key areas.
The changes include:
Added Expanded Screenshots
Shelf Design Optimizations
General UI Optimizations
DPI Optimizations
Battery Performance Optimizations
Stability and Performance Optimizations
General bug fixes
Please visit the download page here:
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_openbeta_9/
If you’ve already flashed a previous Open Beta build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data may transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the Open Beta, you’ll continue getting Open Beta OTAs.
Please follow the link below for the UI/UX experience survey. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS even better. One last thing: this is a limited program, so we may disable this download link once we receive enough feedback.
- Feedback on UI/UX: https://goo.gl/forms/hEqMPq9U9QNrxvhc2
Note: If you flash this Open Beta build, you’ll receive Open Beta OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.
Thank you for your patience and as always, we look forward to hearing your continued feedback in the bug reporting forum here: https://forums.oneplus.net/feedback/.
Thank you for helping us build a better OxygenOS.
Never settle.
Installation Methods
Before we start:This method is only for the OnePlus 3
Follow the steps correctly otherwise you may brick your device. I am not responsible for any damage to your device, please ensure that your device is at least 60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the update process.
Downloads:
Beta 9 Full Zip Official Download
Compatible Stock Recovery
********************* For Stock Non Rooted Users with Stock Recovery *****************
1. Download the appropriate OTA/Full Zip from above link and place it in the root folder.
2. Navigate to Settings > System Updates > Settings Icon > Local Upgrade & Select the OTA File
3. Once selected system would prompt upgrade now
4. Select upgrade now and system would reboot in stock recovery and flash the OTA
5. The installer would itself flash the OTA and reboot the device.
The Device will reboot and your OnePlus 3 is now running on the latest OxygenOS firmware & OS.
PS: The first boot may take some time so keep calm and wait for it to boot.
* After flash is successful go back to recovery and a wipe of cache is recommended.
* If in any case flash is unsuccessful the system would prompt you to download the full 1.4GB zip. So download that and follow the same process as above.
************************ For Rooted Users with TWRP Recovery ************************
Download Beta 9 Full Zip
1. Download the Beta 9 Full Zip on your phone internal memory.
2. Download the Latest SuperSU SR5
4. Reboot To TWRP (Modified 28) & Take a Nandroid of your existing ROM
5. Go to Wipe > Advance Wipe > Select Dalvik & Cache & Swipe to Wipe
6. Install Menu > Select Beta 9 Rom Zip > Swipe to Flash
7. Wipe Dalvik & Cache
8. Flash SuperSU to maintain root
9. Reboot System and Enjoy the Beta 9 Update
* Do not flash Xposed as not compatible with 7.0 builds yet
If you come from a custom rom, i recommend a clean flash and make sure you use the modified TWRP 3.0.2-1.28 as the official one is incompatible with the CB firmware yet.
PS: The first boot may take some time so keep calm and wait for it to boot and the system would boot twice due to flash of supersu so keep calm
PS: Rooted users may either flash the full Beta 9 Zip or they need to flash the previous full zip beta 8 first to overwrite system partition followed by the relevant Beta 9 OTA zip for a successful flash else just the OTA flash would fail with error 7 in TWRP

You can't install the ota update on TWRP recovery. You need the stock one.
Try reflashing TWRP recovery via fastboot and then flash open beta 9(not the ota)

Copy it onto your phone with the this Open Beta 9 package.
Start up TWRP, format /dalvik, /cache, /system, /data.
Flash the Open Beta and clean the caches if asked.
Flash the original recovery from TWRP as recovery image, and restart your phone afterwards.
Your phone may boot into the new recovery, then show "Update failed", then do another restart, but after that mine was working.

Did flash TWRP img after update in TWRP (just to be sure), first boot took a while tho.
Anyone tried supersu?
I have this from yesterday. I was on 3.2.8 from OnePlus site, dated 12.05.16.
Clean flash with TWRP 3.0.2-1.28, thanks to eng_stk. Flash the rom & SuperSU SR5 (if you want root). Refalsh recovery 3.0.2-1.28. Reboot to recovery. If it not works reflash recovery.
Then reboot to system.
I did not flash any mods. All it's ok.

It works. I flashed the full zip with it.
Edit:
Yes you can dirty flash. Everything is working as expected.

Oh okay thanks. So is it the same as before? Flash beta 9, flash twrp again, then flash sr5 then reboot?
Edit: Nvrmind, flashed it already and d*mn. It does feel smoother than beta 8. ???
Can it be flashed over modded Open Beta 8 ?

Yep. Just make sure to have the full update and not the OTA one. Also, just in case make sure you have the TWRP img and super-su on your phone's memory to be able to flash them again
Any mirror for this? Full zip is downloading really slow and I've already stucked on twrp after OTA Need to dirty flash the full zip, but it is going to dowload around Christmas with that speed...

How to update to Oreo from Magisk rooted stock rom OOS 4.5.1?

Can anyone help me with the steps to update to Android Oreo (OOS 5) from OOS 4.5.1 retaining root?
Below are the current setup of my phone
Rooted - Yes (Magisk version 14.0)
Recovery - TWRP version 3.1.1-2
Current Rom - Stock OOS 4.5.1
I haven't had any problems in updating earlier but now when I try to flash the full oreo rom from TWRP, I am getting error 7.
Below are the steps I followed.
Downloaded the full OTA zip.
Rebooted to recovery.
Unistalled Magisk.
Tried to flash the Oreo OTA zip. At this point TWRP showed error 7.
Reinstalled Magisk and rebooted to system.
Phone is working fine.
you need to use latest twrp for oreo, for example blue spark version, search for it on xda...
Follow this guide here:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/how-to-install-oos-5-0-over-rooted-4-5-1.684519/#post-17134194
It's exactly what you need.
All Oreo ROM threads clearly state under the "Instructions" heading, that you need either AkhilNarangs Modified TWRP or Blu_Sparks TWRP V50. Using stock TWRP would result in an error.
If the error may still persist, try flashing a different firmware.
Just to get some more clarity.
I have the original OTA full zip. Should I download the zip file from your thread?
Can I install the custom version of TWRP using the official TWRP app? I am bit confused on how to install it.
Is it important that I should use Magisk 14.3 or will v 14 have the same effect?
Hey there,
I can tell you how I have done it yesterday (successfully).
1. Update TWRP - I prefer blu sparks version 8.52 (Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=27225); you can do it by using your installed TWRP Version (Install .img)
2. Dirty flash OOS 4.5.1 again (to remove root / magisk) - once finished DO NOT reboot into system, reboot into Recovery/TWRP to verify the new version and afterwards to system
3. flash OOS 5.0 (Oreo) - dirty flash is okay
4. flash magisk Version 14.3
These are the steps I have followed yesterday and all is running perfect and without any problems.
BR
Which recovery is mentioned in this linked discussion resp. in the linked download? Is it blu_spark TWRP?
Regards
Clark
This worked perfectly for me.
Glad to hear that everything is good ?
I did the same and I was suddenly encrypted and no chance to get my data back. Still forcing clean my phone because I cannot format the device. I get always an error message in TWRP like: unable to format to remove encryption
I go crazy...
Enter recovery and wipe data and then cache.
Then reflash the rom and probably you will be good to go.

Selected Local Upgrade, then installed the update (didn't reboot)
Opened Magisk and Removed modules that may cause problems
Went in magisk>downloads and install "twrp a/b retention script"
Installed magisk and selected install to inactive slot. Confirmed it. Installed and rebooted.
After reboot i don't have magisk, twrp is ok.

If you still have TWRP then just flash latest Magisk (20,4 I think), reboot back into recovery, flash it again and then reboot. I had to do the same, as long as you keep TWRP you should be fine.
You should really remove the Magisk modules, reboot and THEN install the update tbh.

How's the full zip upload coming along?
I thought I was clever and used the patched magisk image for 10.0.13 HD01BA on my firmware (updated OTA) version 10.0.13 HD01AA... all seems to be working fine barring one crucial function, that being wifi which is greyed out...
I'm assuming the broken wifi radio is symptomatic of the differing firmware versions?

I'm grabbing what I think is the HD01AA Full ZIP from Oxygen Updater, I'll grab the stock boot and try making a magisk patched img for you as well, If they work I might add HD01AA to my supported devices manifest.

That's very kind of you sir! I've flashed BA and WiFi is working now. I think my device, as are many others, are impartial to firmware version. BA/AA/global/European, seems to all be the same barring 1 or 2 minor differences. Using the right patched magisk boot image is critical though.
Having said that I'm yet to flash boot the patched image so let's see what effect it has on WiFi (it any)...
Once again thank you for providing these resources. [emoji1303]

Your feedback has been taken.
Original Post has been updated for OxygenOS 11 Open Beta.
OOS 10.0.13 is still in original post but moved to spoiler.
Thanks for the update. Will probably stay on 10.0.13 for now though, as it is super stable and practically bug free.
Hello,
I just want to confirm is it really that simple to get Magisk & Root Access just by flashing patched boot image? Won't I need to full system & data wipe? I have stock OOS 10.0.13.

Just to confirm are you using a OnePlus 7T Pro EU Model.
HD01BA is for EU, I will be updating my second thread for 7T Global (HD01AA) and India models later.

yes my model is EU.
I updated ota and install magisk unactive slot and the same boot to recovery and bootloop. Maybe problem is in magisk?
Flashing via OTA full ROM works great. After installation was completed I installed magisk to inactive slot and rebooted my device after this and my device is still rooted! Automatic brightness works much better with Beta 2

I get an error. And what version of magisk do you use? I used the latest 21407 and unfortunately bootloop after uploading.
I use 21.4 (21400) and it works like a charm.
Do we get patched boot image or diy instructions for Beta 3?
I see the release candidate for Android 11 has dropped! Anyone have access to the full download file? All I can find is the open_beta 4 which isn't going to work patched and flashed running the RC...
Have anyone can upload the last oos A11 adb recovery please
