As the title says, I am having trouble booting into 5.1.2 I try to adb sideload the bin file (update-kindle-20.5.4.2_user_542168620) and it gets stuck verifying update package. Then after I get the following error ( E: Could not verify whole-file signature ) and then it goes back to the recovery menu, Is there a fix around this?

Sounds like the 5.1.2 package may be corrupt. Try downloading it again.

since the OTA update did not come to the nexus is one of Frøya
by check in the code or through manual update, but there was

I just flashed back to stock (apparently a new version) which is 2.2. My problem is that i cant install clockworkmod. Ive tried two different methods
1. Using rom manager, and just downloading it then flashing it.
2. Downloading the clockworkmod file, putting it in the root directory, and using adb to go into recovery and install it.
Both times i got this error
Finding update package..
Opening update package..
Verifying update package..
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
How can i fix this?

yeah, i just tried that. Didnt work. Im not sure if i did it right though...
I did..
1) copy the recovery file onto my phone
2) download terminal emulator
3) type su (to get it root access)
4) enter the command (nothing happened after i entered it... it just entered)
5) open file expert and put the file in the right directory
6) use adb to reboot into recovery
then i tried flawshing update.zip... same signature problem

im quite new and i was trying to install custom ROMs on my gt-p1000. my tab is rooted, but i didnt do it myself
i installed rom manager from the appstore and tried to install cwm and twrp, but when i try to boot this happens:

Does anyone know why this is happening?

same as me, i have try any way to install my customs rom with adb,odin, etc
i have done root my device but it always fail to load the custom roms

Last night, I installed the lollipop update. I then flashed the kitkat boot.img and fastboot.img (to root), and now I can't get into fastboot. The only thing I can do is get into stock Android recovery, which allows me to use adb sideload. Whenever I sideload anything, I always get this message

I've tried to give Motorola Update Services storage permission and place the downloaded .zip file into the root directory of internal storage but it's not finding the update. I've also tried to ADB sideload but I get an error.

That's not an update zip. It's a full firmware package.
Fastboot.
Or use RSDlite
Or use "XML to batch" to create a batch script to flash it for you
