Although it seems a great project, I think it will have the same result as the s6
Good luck, though

Agreed.
Nice job anyway(especially open source this time).

Thanks for trying, I was hopeful that cyanogen OS would come for s6 and so far it didn't atleast not as a daily driver. I doubt this would go any further than that project did.
Either the developers lost interest or Samsung really built something out of the universe, maybe alien technology?
Thanks for trying to solve it, hopefully soon you can solve the mystery. All the best.

Nice!

@skjdgns1189 Thank you for taking the time and effort in making this a reality, i wish you good luck and hope one day in the near future a daily use cm port might be achieved. Hard it may be, anything is possible so don't let the negative comments above mine get to you and always look towards the inevitable future of things.

Ofcourse this is just a tryout, but hey it's good to see a start is made.

I'm super excited about this, and please stop anything related to "this sucked on the S6", this is not the S6, if you are not going to help, keep that comments to yourself.
If I can help with anything, please let me know!!!
I can't wait for the 1st alpha!!!!
Best regards!!!!

Hi Has anyone tried flashing yet

WOW! I am so excited that this is out here!
I have successfully put CM on my S5 shortly after I got it two years ago. I'm still using it, as it is a very reliable "all-around" device. Recently, I've gotten a hold of the S7. Not only have I nearly bricked it once after forgetting to turn on OEM unlock, but I've managed to root it, and after having it off for a while, it now won't boot, giving me this message shortly before turning itself off again: "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock." I didn't even turn the freakin' OEM unlock feature back off! :banghead:
I hope that this new version of CM will fix all these problems. God bless you!
Using my Samsung Galaxy S5 to post this.

OMG so great !!!

I had the same problem. Fixed it by installing cm12.1 without gapps. After phone booted I rebooted to recovery and flashed gapps. That fixed the problem

Samer for me.
Stock sms app force closes, but hangouts works fine.
No other app has FC after reboot, wipe and flash of gapps.

I saw your post and I decided to write about this rom.
This rom is snappy BUT IT HAS SOME PROBLEMS. eg The camera sometimes gives me fc. It takes too much time to boot. Lockscreen hangs after reboot.
Very good rom but it is still at early stages
did install without the gapps, but still same problem with setup wizard fc

KrexusCAF is what the name implies. The
Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF
source.
Built mainly of top of AOSPCAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from
all the other great nonnexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB,
Tesla etc), KrexusCAF tries to provide the maximum
compatibility possible with CMbased device trees while keeping a small ROM base.
Lead Developer: @KreAch3R
About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android
(namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet
missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me.
Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which
are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it
should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only
add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out
ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.

1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read the FAQ, which can be found on the carbonrom website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on the official IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Stable version has already arrived!!
It's unbelievable this old friend could get Oreo! Thank you @noth3nd.
Here are some issues I encountered so far.
1) NfcNci service is crashed repeatedly at the background. (this commit seems to be relevant) I know the OP already mentioned NFC is not working, but I am afraid that having a keep crashing service might have negative impact to the battery life. Do you plan to fix NFC? I found this ROM can pass SafetyNet with Magisk, but no NFC implies no Google Pay ...
2) Notification dots is unavailable. It says "this feature is not available on this device". Was this expected?

Thanks, for sharin' a commit. It will be inclued in the next build!
First of all, thanks for sharing another great rom for our good old Tsubasa. I tried it yesterday, but i miss some features compared to LineageOs, expecially the screen unlock through the proximity sensor (handwave gesture) and the theme color manager (i'm italian, so probably i am mispelling the official names, but i hope it's understandable). I know i could add those features with third party apps, but i really can't because they would sucks more RAM, which is already too low for my daily usage.
Just a question:
do you notice those WiFiHAL/WiFiVendor errors on your build? They're repeating continuously in every Oreo rom and i guess they're causing some battery drain.
I get about 3 hours SoT with WiFi only and almost no standby on all Oreo roms, which is about 1 hour less compared to Nougat.
Keep up this good work, i would be glad to test upcoming updates. :good:
Also, is it possible to port to Xperia TX?

Yes, maybe, i will build some Oreo roms for TX too.
Will see then. :silly:

Don't ask me about these errors
Because i'm not real developer like @AdrianDC
i don't make any sources like he does. I just use his provided ones..
I'm pretty sure that u too could be able to build rom, it's nothing hard, but making sources/writing codes is much harder.
So, yes... I'm just like kid who wants to be like Messi Messi(AdrianDc), but i'm just kid, who is copying his moves/tricks..
