Framework red message won't go away, Do I need to flash something? - Xposed General

Hey guys,
I'm sorry if someone already posted this question or if I'm in the wrong area, Hopefully I am though.
So I rooted my galaxy S7 basic SM-G930V, It has Marshmallow 6.0.1. If you need more technical information let me know I am not the greatest with android devices yet, I'm trying \tho.
Anyways I'm trying to install some of the modules available through the xposed installer, but It's telling me "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot"?, and then when I click on that part of the app it says "The Xposed Framework is not installed. Please Download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recover. "
I don't have a clue how to flash it via recovery, I know the hold down on the volume up/down/home/power to get those things going I also have Odin3 and sorta know how to use that, but EVERY video I watch has people with TWRP or CWN as their recovery option, and this is where I AM COMPLETELY lost. I downloaded twrp, tried flashing things from the app, and it didn't fix the xposed installer in any way, I tried rebooting, but I never get that 8 button menu that everyone has in their videos for TWRP. The menu I'm talking about is the recovery one where you can just hit Install, go to downloads, select the desired file and then flash it.
If someone could give me a nice step by step guide 1,2,3,4,5 type of thing with LINKS to working downloads, not assuming I know anything, because at this point I don't know what I know anymore, that would be completely awesome! Thanks, I really want this framework to work I just don't have a clue how to get the installer working.:/ Thanks!

xposed framework not working tried EVERYTHING

Ok So.. I am using my HTC One for almost a year now, when I came across this xposed frame work and xblast module, and I got so so excited after reading this, that trust me the sole reason for Rooting my HTC One was to be able to use xblast.
I rooted my HTC One, successfully, and installed xposed framework successfully as well, Installed xblast and did all sorts of modifications like, changing carrier text, wifi signal color, battery color, mobile signal color and couple of others and did a reboot, and to my surprised and much to the anticlimax to my excitement NOTHING worked not even one change happened ... ... I was like in tears ... ..... well check and re checked everything, and tried a hard re boot and still nothing.
I then noticed if I go in to xposed framework, it says the latest version of xposed is not active and I have like red "42" in front of app_process.
Searched xda and came to conclusion that you have to manually or automatically (what ever works) have to install the xposed framework file.
I tried the below files from THIS thread
cwm-Xposed.Framework.Installer.v2.3.1.zip
cwm-Xposed.Framework.Installer.v2.4.1.zip
Version 2.4.1 if I install by going in to recovery mode, the phone does not boot at all and gets stuck at HTC Logo screen, I have to then go to recovery and load the " Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip " to be able to boot.
Version 2.3.1 if I install I am able to boot BUT it still says the latest version of xposed is not installed. and its all red in front of app_process.
Searched XDA AGAIN and some post suggested that do a manual install and when in recover install the xposed-installer-recovery.zip from Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files BUT doing this again does not let my phone boot and I am stuck at HTC Logo till the time I re boot to recovery and run the Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
I am using a rooted HTC One M7 with Android 4.4.2 and HTC sense 6 with Nova Launcher ..
Friends as you can see I have done every part of my own trouble shooting and have read like gazillions thread on XDA and tried out every possible thing I can think off.
I believe I now have the right to start a thread and ask for help officially ....SO PLEASE HELP ...:crying:
Hi Friends, any one on this, I could really use some help and guidance here ....
Have you tried to reinstall xposed? Deinstall the app and reinstall everything? What about root access? Have you granted xposed root access?
Use the latest version (2.6.1) and flash Xposed from the recovery. We can't help you if you're using an old version (2.4.1).
(FYI, the installer would've told you to do exactly that if you just used the latest version.)
OK OK wait I did some more reading, mean time I was waiting for a reply here, and did some troubleshooting, it seems the S-On was the culprit ....... I had to use firewater to get S-OFF even that was not straight as I was getting some error. I then had to flash kernal Bulletproof and then use firewater to have S-OFF.
Anyway with S-OFF I finally was able ti have Xposed framework all green. BUT BUT xblast which was the sole purpose of the entire saga, messed up my phone like anything. I loaded Xblast module and again did all sorts of changes, and re booted, ...
Here goes my experience ...
1. It took a truck load of time to boot,
2. Then when I finally saw the desktop screen, my carrier signal was off, No signal what so ever ...
2.1 BTW I was able to see few xblase changes like my name on the status bar.
2.2 Crashed few apps like DS Audio and lastfm
3. Even before I could think to proceed I started getting this message "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" repeatedly, again n again. I kept on pressing Dont send but the message would not go.
4. I rebooted again and same behavior the message simply would not go, plus no signal.
5. What I finally did was somehow go in to xposed framework and uncheck xblast and rebooted
6. Finally I was able to boot with everything back.
Good new is atleast Xposed Framework is working with all Green. Xblast didnt and is checkedoff
BTW xblast version is latest (AFAIK) ...1.8.7
Any suggestions steps the gurus here can recommend to have xblast working.
Mean time will try some other modules like BubbleUPnP (Audio cast) , sense 6 tools etc and report ...
Thanks for all the help and guidance
This is the wrong place for module specific support, you should post in the modules' threads instead.
could have atleast point me in the right direction .... anyway thanks for all help here ....

I did: I told you to post in the modules' threads. Those are usually linked from inside the module itself or from the module's repo page, but I'm not going to search for the links myself and paste them for you.

I need help with xposed

I have xposed 3.0 (the one I need for the Amplify app). But when I go to modules, it says "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?". It even said that when I installed the latest one.. Anytime I go to Framework, It says "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now". Basically, I need someone to guide me so I can do this. This is way too complicated for me. I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 (L720T). Android version 5.0.1. I have lollipop.
If there's anything else you guys need to know, just ask.
I've been trying to get this app for some time now. I'm rooted.

You need to install the flashable zip from the main xposed page. Make sure it's the right one for your processor and Android version.

XPOSED Framework Install - Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 (OF1) Flashfire

I've been reading thousands of forum entries on how to install the xposed framework for my device and I can't seem to get it. They all end the same way -- stuck at the Verizon logo screen.
I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on stock Lollipop (5.0.1). I only have the stock bootloader thanks to it being locked before I laid hands on the device, but I do have Flashfire, Root, SuperSU. Each time I fail, I use ODIN to flash I545VRUGOF1_I545VZWGOF1_I545VRUGOF1_HOME.tar and try again.
I have tried using a deodexed rom by flashing the above with ODIN, then using Flashfire to OTA update: I545_OF1_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM.zip
Next, install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
I then tried flashing:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
They all result in freezing on the Verizon logo during boot.
I can flash xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430-arter97 on to the deodexed rom and it will work, but the Xposed Installer says it's not the most recent and all modules yield the same error:
This module requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated.
Then I try with the stock rom (odexed).
I can flash:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
Without a crash; So long as the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk is not installed. If I install the XposedInstaller then try to flash, it hangs on the Verizon logo during boot.
Finally, if I flash the zips first, then reboot and install the XposedInstaller it will yield me the same result of not the most recent version and I get the requires newer bridge for all modules.
Because it's an S4 there are hundreds of forums and guides, but I can't find one that applies to me. That makes me either the worst internet researcher in the world -- or I'm missing something so obvious that it's embarrassing...well, humiliating.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? ...and yes, I've read every read only forum to the last line and every XDA Lollipop forum. I've reflashed my phone almost two dozen times trying different suggestions with absolutely no luck.
I was having similar issues trying to get xposed on 5.0.1.
Long story short I gave up and flashed 5.1.1 onto my Note 4 and used wanam's custom xposed framework.
Galaxy S4
I don't believe there is a stock 5.1 firmware for the Galaxy S4. More importantly, I have to believe you can install Xposed on the S4. I just hate feeling like I'm missing something so simple!!

I have a i545 with locked boot loader I used flashfire to flash XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 and xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip and it has been working fine for me, I thought my phone was froze on the Verizon splash screen on the first restart so I pulled the battery and tried starting the phone again and it started like normal

That went faster than I expected. Going to give it a flash now.
Well, thank you for the effort.
It flashed very quickly and then rebooted without a problem, but the Xposed Installer still shows, "The Xposed framework is not installed. Please download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recovery." and all the modules say, "..requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated".
I don't suppose you'd be willing to use FlashFire to make a full backup (minus your cache, of course) to share?

Thank you! I uninstalled Xposed Installer and rebooted. Reinstalled Xposed Installer, rebooted, then flashed the file again. Upon that reboot it did the, "Upgraded file xx of xx" and now it's installed!

Could you provide the steps you used to achieve this? Thanks!
Please explain how to do this.
Hello.
Can anyone explain the steps to install Xposed framework on the Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-i545, rooted with stock ROM 5.0.1? I found and downloaded the two files noted in krusherkills123's post, but Flashfire only shows the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 under "Flash firmware package" where it brings up a blank "Partitions" screen and no options.
I used Flashfire to flash the other file, xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip, which I hated to do since I have no idea what it actually does. Since I don't know what it does, I can't confirm that flashing it was successful.
Any help would be appreciated.
Same question here, rooted Verizon S4 I545VRSGPL1, can I install xposed? This is stock rom, rooted with kingroot then cleaned to use SuperSU
People have done with OF1, not sure about PL1, but they are not far apart
Thx!

Magisk V16 can't install on Android 5.0

Has anyone has success in installing this on Android 5.0 samsung S4 ? I followed the instructions and the manager just says not installed.
Unless you provide more details and installation logs it's gonna be hard to help...

What details would you like to know? I flash it and then later restart but the manager was not there so I tried to install it from saving the apk file that I downloaded. But it just said it was not installed and later I found out I lost root from trying to flash Xposed on my phone.
I am very new to this and tried to follow the tutorials and videos but its not working cause I thought using Magisk I can install the seamless Xposed.
Those recovery/installation logs would be a good start.
You're muddling up the details a bit...
Was the Manager not installed or did it report that Magisk wasn't installed? And you lost root? But you said you couldn't install Magisk... Are you already rooted? That might cause issues.
Being nice and clear and detailed (what is being flashed, version numbers, what's already done, what works, what doesn't work, with logs, etc) in your descriptions would help.

I hope this is clearly for you!
1. I flash the file with TWRP with success
2. The phone got stuck on samsung logo
3. Root was removed.
4.I had to re flash stock and it is working again.
5. How do I get the logs of Magisk if my phone keeps looping?
I wanted to use Magisk to see if Xposed would work but it looks like i can't even get Magisk to work on my samsung i9500 with original rom. This same thing happens with Xposed where everything goes smoothly with flashing it in recovery and then a boot loop on the logo. Others on this forum have been complaining about this too and perhaps the developer might have not considered odexed rom like samsung for these wonderful apps to work?
I am going back to Kitkat where i don't have these issues and I can use Xposed.

Phone stuck on booting screen after install

Hello,
first off, sorry. I was stupid and didn't read into it before installing (or trying to install) Xposed to my Samsung S8. Yes, i've read now that it doesn't work with the official ROM, but now it's a bit to late.
So. After rooting my S8 today (using TWRP) i wanted to install Xposed. I downloaded an installer from this site because.. umm, i had a brain fart. For some reason my brain took that site as the official website, so i downloaded it from a 3rd Party site instead of the actual website.
I installed the apk and granted root access. After that i clicked on install and Xposed installed successfully. After that it obviously asked me to reboot my device, which i did. But now i am stuck on the Samsung screen of the boot progress. I know i could technically just wipe the phone (again) and start anew, but i'd like to avoid that if possible. I can access TWRP, but if i try to access the system files in the file browser, it shows "0MB" and i can't access them.
I tried downloading an uninstaller linked in this thread, but i don't know which one i should download.
Sorry again for me being so stupid and not reading into it and downloading from some weird 3rd Party site.
Thanks in advance for the help!
EDIT: And yea, of course i didn't create a backup before installing Xposed. So if there is no way to properly uninstall it, i gotta wipe everything once again

I don't have this device but, I believe that you should be able to flash (via TWRP) the Framework Uninstaller located on the following Official XPosed link. Just select the correct ARCH (ARM, ARM64, etc...) for your device.

If necessary, you can always try to obtain some additional member guidance and support from the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device and variants.

In the link provided by @lbuprophen use the arm64 zip uninstaller (latest version) to uninstall exposed.
Just curious how long did you let it try to boot for, mine took 10-15 minutes for it to do it's thing and boot up.

I tried that before, unfortunately without success. It also may be noteworthy that my brain turned off and downloaded the XPosed installer off some 3rd Party site. I know. Stupid. But it happened.

I waited over an hour for my phone to boot, before and after flashing the uninstaller. I also tried wiping it and even completely formatting the data, everything without any success. It kept on not passing the Samsung screen and eventually bootlooping.
I fixed the issue by just flashing the stock rom with odin and then reinstalling TWRP and rooting my device again. Will stay away from XPosed with this phone for now.
Thanks for the advice anyways!

You did what I would have probably done myself in this situation by starting from scratch.
I just wanted to let you know that I believe that I had saw somewhere (within the dedicated area of the forum for your device) that individuals were successful with Magisk XPosed.
Though I do understand if you want to stay away from XPosed until your ready again and I'm happy to see that your at least up and running again.
Good Luck!

I got the same even just after the installation of the apk for Systemless Xposed on an Xperia (XposedInstaller_3.1.5-Magisk.apk) found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268
I made a reboot as I like to isolate the issues while they happen. That was it: bootloop..
