phone keeps restarting, just want internal storage data - Device Repair

hi all,
I have a samsung galaxy young (GT-S6310N) that when I turn it on it just keep restarting until pulling out the battery. It just turn on and a little after the samsung logo and before showing the lock screen it restart again. this also happens while I want to get in the safe mode but I still have access to recovery mode and device is rooted also.
I've got an idea to extract data from internal storage that I don't know it is really doable or not in action.
Can I boot any operation system from a sd card without formatting or deleting something from internal storage (in just try mode) and then get a copy from files and then run a factory reset??
sorry for my poor English.
Regards.

[Q] Help! Corrupted internal SD Card and can't find a way to wipe

First, some background:
I've had the S for 2 months now and about a month ago I applied JG5/Modaco r2 and Mimocam lag fix. All was well, 1800+ benchmark figures and no lag at all. That was until a few days ago....
As I was reading on the device, a number of errors started to pop up, force closes, etc. It stopped responding completely so I took the battery out and rebooted. Straight away I was hit with multiple force close and 'process stopped unexpectedly' messages. Basically, it was an unusable brick.
When I took the SD card out the errors were different so, figuring it was related to the Mimocam fix, I decided to undo it. I removed the symlink to the sd card and copied everything to the local data directory.
That didn't work, so I did a hard reset. Which also didn't work. Worse than that, I now can't get the phone to connect in any way to the PC so can't reflash and I can't access any settings on the phone because the error messages keep appearing and obscuring the screen.
Last thing I tried was repartitioning the SD card to see if the ext3 partition was corrupt and that hasn't helped either.
Which is where I am now. What I really want to do is wipe the internal SD and effect a total factory reset but I can't think of any way to do it. I can't access the phone through adb (device not found), Kies (keeps trying to connect but never does) and I can't do it through the phone. I also can't send it back because it has 'flashed rom' written all over it, especially when a root request pops up in the background.
I'm all out of ideas, short of trying to degauss it somehow.
Help! Please!
You cant get it into download mode ?

Or recovery mode: format sd card, clear cache etc ?
Turn the phone off, hold Home + Vol -, then press Power.
I don't see how you can get error messages there...
Doesn't work, I can't get it in to recovery mode. Neither vol up or down work using the 3 button hold. I've tried repeatedly and it just boots as normal, although the animation doesn't display while it boots but it does play the audio.
So I take it I'm f***ed then?
bumping this up and subscribing. I hope you find a solution soon, man.
if you know what your firmware was, get it from samsung-firmwares, get odin, and flash your phone. maybe that will solve your problem.
Keep in mind that I wont be responsible if your phone gets bricked if you mess up the procedure (however the chances of it being bricked is very less if you follow the instructions properly).
search the forum for flashing via odin.

He said he cant get it into download mode so would be quite hard to flash with odin then...
No, I've tried over and over and d/l mode doesn't work. The phone just reboots.

Try the Vol + Recovery mode. The timing is a bit tricky.
On my phone, if I keep Vol+, Home and Power button held down, the phone goes into a reboot loop (it keeps showing the logo, blank, logo, blank). After the logo appears the 2nd time, wait 1 second then release the Power button. Then it goes into the Recovery mode.
If you can't get it to work, try it without the USB/power plugged in as well.
Tried settings/sd card and phone storage/unmount internal sd/format? Or u could do settings/security/factory reset
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
I can't really try that because, as I said, I can't get past any of the error messages that pop up on the phone.
Have had to bite the bullet and take it in to T-mo for a repair and hope they don't notice
Will find out in 28 days.
I had a similar problem with JPC. After a while both the internal and external sd cards crapped out. After pulling the external sd and many tries I was able to boot into recovery mode where it says something like E: cant mount etc.
After pulling the ext sd card I was able to get into download mode and downgrade to JM7 with odin. After formatting with odin. It took two tries.
I still don't have access or storage on both the int and ext sd. I have roughly 2gb storage on the internal non-sd memory of the phone (i am not sure what it is but its enough to run android and I can make calls).
I can't install apps use the camera or anything that uses either of the sd cards for storage.
I did try a new sd card that was installed on the phone when it was stock FW but it doesnt work either.
I have a thread posted about it.

am wondering, did your phone ever work with the three button mode to enter download/recovery ? or did you always flash using "adb reboot recovery" ?

It is posted in several threads in all of the 19000 forums that there is no fix for this. Your only option is to send it in for repair.

it would be nice if there was a way.
I agree with Electroz.
there is a new software out by Samsung
new PC Studio, it comes with a feature to "Emergency Restore"
you can try that, and see if that does anything to the internal SD
links are on the SGS wiki, click my link

I'll give it a shot, downloading now.
I'm not sure where to send my phone in, I called samsung, they sent me to bell, but I bought my phone from best buy and I'm with fido...
It sees both drives, but that's about it, when I try to click on them it just says "insert the disk into drive ..."
There has to be a way to format the internal card with a third party application. I'm gonna keep looking.

[Q] Encryption unsuccessful and boot loop

Hello all.
I got my hands on very interesting phone, if I flash any GB ROM including stock, phone may or may not start boot looping (can't get past first screen). Now the interesting thing is that after 3-20 attempts it boots and then works perfectly (app install, taking pictures etc.) until it again gets rebooted or turned off.
If I install ICS ROM's on start-up I get Encryption unsuccessful screen and then again it takes 3-20 reboots to get the phone working. No need to do factory resets etc. Now I am no guru on Samsung HW and Android but my guess is that on boot android fails to mount /data and /emmc partition. Now I understand that this can be caused by either Corrupted partition or hardware failure. The interesting thing is that I cannot call my partitions corrupt - as I don't loose any data and I cannot call it a hardware failure - as after phone boots I can access all storage space. Tired repartitioning using Odin/Heimdall and only trick that seems to work is using External SD card as "internal".
Any ideas what this wonder is?
just search encryption unsuccessful bug on vibrant....and you will find TONS of information about it.....take your time and read it.....and btw you will be unable to access your internal sd( 16gb mem) anymore...

[Q] "Unable to mount SD", can I access storage via PC?

TL ; DR: Splash stuck on restart, "Mount attempt 1/2/3/4/5... Unable to mount SD card message" in recovery mode, need to access storage to retrieve files I'd rather not lose, is there any way to plug into a computer with the device in boot or recovery mode to access my files?
Long verson:
I haven't rooted my phone or downloaded any weird or strange apps. I didn't recently update or load or add or install anything new to my phone, nor did I drop it hard. Nothing new or different happened, I just decided to restart my phone before bed, and now it doesn't work. The HTC ONE splash pops up, then the AT&T logo appears: Typically it goes through a small animation, but now instead it's just the logo and an animated glare practically indiscernibly moves a couple of pixels across the logo (like it's a lagging GIF). Before the glare moves completely across the logo, the phone restarts and the so does the process.
I can access recovery mode and when I do I get the "Mount attempt 1/2/3/4/5... Unable to mount SD card message". So I guess the only thing left for me to do is try factory reset, but there are a couple files I want off the device if I can manage that. I was hoping to be able to USB plug into my computer into recovery mode and access the storage like a portable hdd but I can't figure out which mode to go into or if its even possible.
Suggestions?

do you have a custom recovery installed? If yes you can use adb pull to copy your file to your pc.

nope, he doesn't the message "Mount attempt 1/2/3/4/5... Unable to mount SD card message" is stock recovery
EDIT: and if he unlocks bootloader using HTCdev, that will completely wipe his phone, I know you know, but the OP probably doesnt

You're right, I didn't know that.
I just finished going into recovery mode and wiping data/factory reset option anyway, giving up accessing the files I needed, and the same thing is happening. HTC ONE logo, switch to AT&T logo with a laggy glare animation, auto restart and the process restarts again. Is there anything I can do to allievate this problem?

Help - intricate problem with internal storage

Tried full wipe of album art cache in power amp. I guess something must have went wrong.
Now, I can not:
-connect to pc with usb (only mass storage works so pc companion can't help me)
-download apps
-when entering file manager it hangs after a few clicks
-gallery doesn't load properly. The app hangs while trying to load content.
- can not enter recovery mode with hard buttons.
My conclusion is there is something wrong with the internal storage.
I do have an sd card but the problems continue with it disconnected.
Factory reset is an option I guess, but I would very much want to backup my messages. If I could get something like a wifi based "backup messages to gmail"-app on there that would help me. But I can't install apps through play.
If I could wipe the whole internal storage and somehow reset it, without resetting the firmware or messages, that would maybe solve it, I don't know.
I'm not a techie kind of guy do please have patience with me! Any help appreciated!

How does Android MM, 'Use SD as internal memory' work, and how to prevent data loss?

Hi, I just upgraded yesterday my XT1068 to Android MM (Nexus Experience [http://goo.gl/Qc87Q7]).
And I was delighted to see the option to use my Samsung MicroSD card as internal memory. I installed all the apps I use frequently, restarted the phone and everything was fine till here.
I formatted my micro SD as internal memory, copied music, pictures and stuff using MTP to my SD, installed several apps and uninstalled some other that I didn't need anymore (Like 'Facebook Lite'). Wanted then to restart my phone to recovery mode, but it was restarting for ever and stuck with the rebooting animation, so I decided to press the power button for 3-5 sec to force shutdown the phone. But when my phone started again, everything I copied to the SD was gone, and files I removed were there again, apps like 'Facebook Lite' were mysteriously installed again as if I would have never uninstalled them.
In the launcher, all my icons and folders I organized, reverted to the positions and state I had before, last time I restarted my phone (before the forced restart when I lost the data).
What happened here? Looks somehow as if the partition table is being written back to the SD or phone memory when you are turning off the phone.. and remains in RAM during use.. Seriously?
Did such a thing happen to anybody else here? Is this how the new Android works? Every time your phone crashes or something, you'll loose all pictures and data that changed since last restart?..
Any information on this is highly appreciated.. Thanks.

i have a similar situation with my sd card and my xt1063, at the beggining i choose the option which makes the sd to save files and media. today the phone turned off because the battery was empty, at the time that i tried to turn on the phone it says that the sd card need format and now when i connect the sd card to the pc it is in RAW format. i think that the new system for "initializating" sd cards is broken or something, or simply we have bad luck or else.
edit: i have stock android 6.0 retla
sorry for my english pls
