The new stamina mode is useless. Mine has had no change in battery life however.
Find out what is the cause to the drain

I fully agree.
Before 35.0.a.1.238, SM was great. Doubled my batt life. I got an estimated 54hrs with SM on BEFORE the .238.
Now with 35.0.a.1.238 i get a FEW MINS extra with SM.
Really hating the new update.
Anyway I can revert back to the stock build number?
Downgrade the system update?

Yeah.. Download flashtool and an ftf with the old firmware, flash it as the instructions say and you are good to go.
There are tons of guides on the net and you should be able to find an ftf firmware from xperifirm.com or something like that, flashtool can help with that also.

There's an app in play store. Also, you can boot to recovery. Then go to advanced, and wipe batt stats there.
I suggest you look for threads on calibrating battery though.

Have you unlocked your bootloader? On stock kernel, gdx is probably one of your best bet.

Aha. There must be a misbehaving app. Try using watchdog to idenyify which app(s) causes the drain so you can replace it with a similar app.

Shut off ur phone when u dont need.
And try useing another rom like others said. Presto from haka is a good rom.

Mine is doing the same, also battery drains.
I think it's about JB basebands, i've tried a lot of versions.
It's doing like this when phone is using one band but i don't know which one, i think 3G on 900Mhz because this type of freq. is used outside towns.

It's weird, if you're running .489 JB version then you could try flashing .492 JB version from following thread and see if it could help.

It's absolutely safe flashing foreign FW.
The OP already stated that he flashed stock FW, so repairing won't help much I guess.

I'm on 10.3.1.A.0.244 and got an Update to the same version, what?

I'm on 10.3.1.A.0.244 and got a firmware update msg from PC Companion. Wasn't that the latest one?
I'm updating right now, what could it be??? It said I won't loose my peronal data, so I guess it's a small one.
PS: My Xperia Z is C6602 HSPA
I'll keep you posted, PC Companion is downloading the update right now ...
[EDIT}

Usually what happens is, you probably deleted some of the apps that came pre-installed but are not necessary components. When you run an update check, they will notice that some of those pre-installed apps are missing, and will prompt you to do an update. Post-update, you'll find some of those apps installed on your system again. The update you saw was probably anywhere between 5mb - 80mb.

I had something similar on an o2 branded handset recently, was to add in the 4G toggle since the UK networks have started using 4G now.

I am glad the poster started this thread as I also had an update soon after flashing generic firmware over the O2 branded one that came with my phone, and wondered how come.
On the info offered in this thread I went ahead and installed it.
I can confirm this update added the 4g option in mobile networks.
Indeed a minor update in which data and root remain intact (no need to back-up/re-root ).

New update!

Just got the new update in from Samsung for my sm-g900F.
Using the phone for about an hour now and one thing that is noticeably better is the fingerprint sensor. I've tried the weirdest angles I could think of and it still works! Much less errors than before.
Overall phone also seems to be responding to commands better but I'll know for sure after a fee days of use.
Still waiting for a Play edition so I can have aosp now!
What update? I'm in Scotland and haven't received any

Well if you have root why not flash the new rom with Mobile Odin Pro straight away and enable Everroot and the other 2 options and also keep root.
For everyone that didn't receive the new ANG2 update yet:
My XtreStoLite stock ROM is already based on this firmware already since yesterday.

Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yup! Showing 325 MB free for me right now. But in use the phone is definitely much smoother.
So smoother operation in a 250mb update, less ram available and still 4.4.2 droid. Makes me curious for the whatsnew log. I really hoped for 4.4.4 by now since other very expensive flagships left 4.4.2 ages ago in modern Phone time table

Severe battery drain isssue with N920I after Marshmallow 6.0.1 update

Just recently received android 6.0.1 OTA update on my N920i
Firmware is... BPD3
New power saving option restricts sync to it's better not to use it, and then phone battery is like half the performance of what it was on 5.1.1
I've two devices both N920i and both have same issue.
Any solution?

I guess it's typically with n920i, because I've two phones and both have this issue, have you turned on power saver? And if yes, doesn't it affect sync?
I got the same issue on my N920W8 after installing the MM update even with a fresh wipe.
