Hi all
i got an an ace s5830 , it work fine i can recive and send SMS , connect to wifi but when iam trying to call sombody the phone reboot , also when somone call me i can't hang up( the phone reboot) , I ve tried many custom rom and stock rom , change different kernel , also i did all type of wipe , but the same probleme ,
Hmm. Strange problem. Might be faulty hardware. Check out the Samsung Service Center.

i went to a professional , he open the phone and he saied to me that your phone is new and he didn't understood the probleme

Return it to the shop where you bought it and ask them for a replacement! Make sure you are unrooted and on your Stock rom when you give it to them.

backup your sd card somewhere.
and do a format on all through cwm.
then do a hard reset from odin.
looks like it's a problem with only calling....
try different modems from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289830
If dat doesn't work. return and ask for a replacement..

yes but the probleme is that i bought it from a person and there is no garantie with the phone , i should found a solution , thx for the reply , if somone can help plz
Did you try the "software update " option on The ace? I had a similar problem like this when i got my ace and there was actually An update and The problem was gone .
In the beginning i was Be able to fix The problem by setting a static (?) Ip adres on the wifi i was connected to.

So you are telling me you bought a phone from someone, no warranty and you didn't even test if it called?

Hai.....i wanna ask you all about my imei code....i have an xperia x8...i check my imei at back of my phone is an x8 imei went i check via online...but went i check my imei via *#06# and check it via online... it was an w8 imei.....how it sepose to be like that???? Srry for my bad english....

Your IMEI is unique I dont think ROM affects it. What you see in the back case is your real IMEI. Unless you have dual sim.
1 more question......i have unlockbootloader then it have a hardbrik..so i send my phone to sony to repair it.....do you thing it can effecr my imei code....and are the bootloader locked again???

So thats what happened? Thats is Im not certain of. I guess no. You can always check IMEI by *#06# and thats your IMEI.
So maybe they have change my board right??

My stupid office has now kept a rule that i can not get emails on my device if it is rooted ..

Mine has the same policy. All I needed to do was to uninstall Superuser and the mail system no longer detected me as non compliant. Not sure if it will work for you but thought I would throw it out there.

Edit: ah your not in USA...so guess they check your phone..
probably the same way some bank sites don't work if u have a rooted phone.

My company does it for the employees in USA too... the application checks for root provides before continuing. If rooted, it stops there else proceeds

use third party client
try enhanced email client. Its good.
Just don't synch birthdays if you have them in calander linked to contacts or you get wakelock issue.

There is an option "Full unroot" in SuperSU
You can be on any custom rom and get unrooted.Its not neccessary to go back to stock rom to get unrooted
As in the title i wanna change what the phone does when screen pattern entered wrong . I can't seem to find the files in the system that has the code for this .

First of all you can disable it at settings>location&security>set up screen lock>pattern.
If you have stolen a phone(lol) and you don't know what's the pattern, you can always full wipe from cwm or restore with pccompanion or seus or flash stock with flashtool

I cracked my own lock from that tutorial (just testing)
But it needs USB debugging on to do that..

Haha Great Two ways isn't it??If u have no choice,u can just full wiped your phone if you have CWM installed

Yes I'm sending this from prison.....luckily they didn't take it back when they arrested me because the user had already bought a new phone and he realized that x8 is sh!t so he didn't want it back.

no its not that am locked out its just in case the phone is stolen or smth else i want to format the data partition or factory reset the phone i knw how to bybass the lock .
so the question still is how can i change the fumction or the activity the phone executes when entering the wrong pattern multiple times.

I'm not sure if you just told that you want to steal a phone or you asked how to lock a phone when someone fail to enter the pattern multiple times
I don't know how you can do this but personally I don't see any reason for this,you want to add a lock to the lock so you lock your phone while its locked
Or I just didn't get what you asked:/

so you want to factory reset your phone if it got stolen? why do you want to factory reset your phone when it was stolen on the first place? unless you knew the thief anyway, just wanna share, if you failed to enter the correct unlock pattern for 3 times, you will be asked to wait for 30 seconds to re-enter the pattern, then, after re-try for 10 times, and you still unsuccesful to draw the right unlock pattern, you will be asked to enter your google account. after you enter it, it is back to re-enter the unlock pattern. im not sure what is your question on the first place, and if this answer your question

i already search everywhere until page 100 in google search engine but still no luck.
okay here my problem
i using samsung galaxy S advance GT-I9070. the phone not root yet . i try to update and flash latest rom. while processing suddenly my computer power turn off on its own.
i try to use usb JIG do get into download mode but useless.
i try 3 button combo also no result shows.
even my phone cannot turn on and the screen keep blank.
but when i plug in usb to computer it detect with something but only for 1 sec . it detect on device manager and shows "u8500 usb rom".
It's probably a hard brick.... maybe you should look into JTAG
Wait for a second opinion though, I'm not 100% sure.
