YouTube bug - Moto Z Force Guides, News, & Discussion

A lot of videos aren't going into full HD on this phone. Almost nothing has gone into 1080p and rarely do I even see 720. I have the same YouTube version number as my Nexus which plays HD no problem. Just a heads up.
Too bad we can't root this thing to do anything about it. Thanks Verizon :good:

Idk man...I don't seem to be having any problem with videos hitting 1080p...

Hmm.. what version YouTube do you have?

Very odd. I'm never, ever seeing 1440 and on channels that I know for certain upload 1080, they are coming up 480. Although sometimes I see 1080 it's hardly ever. Can you post a video link of a 1440 video please?

Think about what you're saying for a second. Just the thought of video conferencing on the G1 is laughable. How do you think you're going to be able to see the person you're talking to if you're pointing the camera at your face?

Sipdroid 0.9.8 supposedly has video send and receive implemented now.

Search for my thread in this subforum for getting sipdroid setup with Gizmo5.

Netflix overload on 12/24/2012?

Netflix quit working on all my devices! Was working earlier today. Too many people using it right now? :^)

Don't they (Netflix) do any kind of capacity planning? Weren't their servers tested under load? Geez!
Kids want to watch Christmas movies today because it's raining in So Cal, and they can't go out.
I'm glad I have some DVDs lying around.

They blame Amazon AWS: http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/24/netflix-outage/
Mod edit: No
Carry on people.
Interesting how the faulty Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) component of AWS in Ashburn, Virginia only affected Netflix, and not Netflix's major rival Amazon Instant Video service (formerly known as Video On Demand) also hosted on AWS in VA, huh?
Hmm...
And was any other Amazon.com service adversely affected?
Hmm...
The end of the world...... for Netflix?

Snapchat on LG L90?

I have been using Snapchat frequently, but I have noticed that ever since a month ago, when I specifically record videos on Snapchat, there is a black bar on the top and bottom, I am assuming the aspect ratio is off? You can't change the camera settings via the Snapchat app, so I was wondering what could be causing this...
It takes pictures fine though. Really would like to fix this issue, as it is awkward sending a video via Snapchat with black bars making it look like as if I am using some type of ancient phone...
Can you send a screenshot so that we can see what you are seeing? AFAIK it may be an update affecting video

Sorry I just saw this! So I took a random picture of the Chicago Skyline via Google Images (if for some reason this post gets flagged, the original picture can be found here: http://monkeywrenchplumbers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IMG_44852.jpg).
Anywho, this is how videos on Snapchat turn out (again, I didn't take this picture!) but basically, imagine that picture was a normal 10 second video on Snapchat, that is how the video is usually outputted as, with the two black bars:

Lag while scrolling after updating to AW2.0

After updating to AW2.0 there are frame drops while using the watch. AW2.0 is much smoother on Moto 360 Gen 2. Already did a factory reset but same problem persists. Anyone facing this problem here?
Sent from my Moto G4 Plus using Tapatalk
No, it is smooth, but after settling.
If it's updating apps in the background it is really slow.

Thanks for that. I meant the bars when you're scrolling. Or else if possible please post a video of you scrolling through the app menu.

I have the same problem, but the GPU bars while scrolling are okay.
How to fix this problem?
I have already made a factory reset.

Is there any way to watch videos in COMPLETE full screen?

I just want to be able to watch videos in full screen including the notch area. Do you know any app that allows that?

I'm using YouTube Vanced and it cannot fulfill the videos to the edge of the notch area.
You need android pie 9.0.

Miui 8.0 does not support, there are no video apps that will go into full screen period, but correct me if I am wrong
