Need a solution badly.."Invalid ID:Device ID must be a valid IMEI or MAC address." - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need a solution badly.."Invalid IDevice ID must be a valid IMEI or MAC address."
"Invalid ID:
Device ID must be a valid IMEI or MAC address. Without device ID, some Mi Account and Cloud features won't be available."
then it goes for checking device status
Followed by this error:
Couldn't check the Find device status.
What l had done.
A month ago my mi3 started showing "insert sim card" though there was already one in the mobile, i thought that this because of newly "weekly update" but after next update it didn't solved, so i searched for the problem on google and this forum and i found that this problem is hardware one. So i went to the expert, he checked and said that the sim tray is running fine. Then again i waited for an update and it arrived but then again it didn't solved.
Finally i applied "Wipe & Reset" and came the disaster, miui 8 started in fashion but while i was in some elementary steps of selecting language and country I was encountered with this error--
"Invalid ID:
Device ID must be a valid IMEI or MAC address. Without device ID, some Mi Account and Cloud features won't be available."
and I finally stopped at MIUI ACCOUNT Details form.
Followed by this error:
Couldn't check the Find device status.
I reset it several times but the outcome is nil.
I even tried Flashing using Mi pc suite with "miui V7.5.6.0.MXDCNDE" it does nothing and repeated again and again except changing miui 8 (6.7) developer to miui 7.5 stable.
I have no EFS saved
Current status.
phone not opening competely, no debugging option on, no root access.
Is there anyone who can help and guide me.

If you have not tried fastboot, then give it a try. And after it boots try to skip all the MI authentication steps. I think Mi framework is checking something and then giving you error.

Try flashing an old backup. I had the same issue but on pa 6.0(unofficial) or flash a cm rom and see if the problem exists.

There are modules for XPOSED that will allow you to force an IMEI or change various device ID information, you'll be good

wifi fails to autoconnect.

Wifi sees networks and I can log in fine but everytime I have to enter my user and password. Fingerprint sensor also fails. When I flashed with Samsung firmware I got the message missing DRK which I see other people have complained about. I assume the /efs folder has got corrupted and it cannot store the passwords and maybe fingerprint information although the IMEI number appears fine.
I see instructions to fix this but on older OS , I'm on 6.01 and I think the structure has changed .
The phone has already been rooted before and I guess thats when this happened.

your phone partition got messed up you have to put TWRP back and then go in wipe and then you have to do file repair
when you fix file then ran back the stock firmware which will fix bootloader
then go back install twrp and install custom rom with root

Unable to Root Meizu Pro 7-H

Hello,
Need Help.
I have Meizu Pro 7-H, just got updated to 7.1.0.0 A . I am unable to root device through the "Root Permission" option, it keeps giving error " Wrong Root code. Please authorize first". I have tried every option available on net but unable to solve this problem.
mroot.flyme.cn
It seems that is not working for people outside China, because the form (and the server) from mroot page needs a chinese phone number to send back the code. Any other phone format is not accepted. We can say it's not working for Global users of Meizu phones (which come with factory G ROMs).
@nbe003: yours should work, but you have to wait for that code (if you take all the steps).
Thanks @eneenes and @cris2d2, seems only option to roll back to 7.0.0.0A.
phone number 1111111...
It would be nice to find out if only China ROMs (A) are getting authorized or even Global (G) ones, even if the phone is a dummy one. They really don't need the phone, it's only to inform the owner that the authorization has been given.

G920A problems: not registered on network, imei corrupted, and knox mobile enrollment

I'm hopeful somebody more experienced with this stuff than I can help me here:
My Galaxy S6 (sm-g920a) was working fine on Android v5.1.1 (lollipop) until a few days back when it suddenly popped up a message saying "not registered on network". After some searching online, I looked at the IMEI # and it showed 350000000000006, which was definitely not the original number. I thought perhaps updating the operating system to v7.0 (nougat) would solve the problem, so I did that but it didn't help. I put in a friend's SIM in case my SIM card was the problem but that didn't help either. On top of that, I'm not sure how but at this point, a Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment app popped up and said my phone was part of an enterprise and it would not let me move past that unless I enabled wi-fi to download additional software called MDM. I shut off the phone before it could install the MDM app, but now I'm at a point where I think I'm worse off than when I started. ...Is there a way to turn off this Mobile Enrollment app, correct the IMEI and get this phone working again? I can't access most functions of the phone after it's fully booted, except some Settings, because that Knox Mobile Enrollment app seems to disable/lock down all the rest.
Add'l Info:
I had successfully installed flash a Eng Root Boot file to obtain shell root according to instructions in ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...ot-att-samsung-g920a-s6-g925a-s7edge-t3564637 ) but my attempts to install SuperSU manager failed with a message indicating that "smu_protection" prevented making /system writable.
Then I followed other instructions (https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-fix-check-drk-imei-issues-t3379516) despite them being for the Galaxy S7, and installed combination firmware COMBINATION_ATT_FA50_G920AUCU7ARA1.rar, booted up, typed " *#06# " powered down, replaced with stock ROM G920AUCU6EQCF. No luck, and from my reading, that may mean the EFS is also corrupted.
Any help is much appreciated.

Unlock tool an unknown error occurs?

I'm trying to unlock my bootloader to install root in the android 10 beta, and the official bootloader unlock tool is giving me this error-- see below. Is there any way to go around the app or fix the issue, I've tried rebooting and it's been way since the early morning. Both wifi and cellular results in this error.
Maybe that not support android Q
Check if you have a serial number. I had this issue when I bought the phone from eGlobalCentral. They have a WW rom on the tencent version but they heavily screwed up the install messing up the EFS and destorying the serial number leaving me with a default one.
Because of this I think the app could not send the serial number to the ASUS server to be verified returning an "Unknown Error".
This might not be the case with you but that was certainly what happened with me.
You can try unlocking via EDL mode also

IMEI unknown after flashing custom rom

I flashed Android 12 custom rom which messed up my baseband and now IMEI is shown unknown (wifi, Bluetooth, mobile network not working)
So i rolled back to my previous stable rom -

But still no network, wifi and Bluetooth.
