Pretty sure it will be August. LG has stated that the V20 will be the first Non-Nexus phone to get it, and the release date for it is the first week in September.

lg can post it, release it, whenever. lg doesnt make googles official hardware nor software. it will OFFICIALLY! come out when the nexus devices get released.

The question should be as follows:
Who knows when Android 7 will be released?
Answer: Some persons at Google.
http://www.androidauthority.com/android-7-0-update-679175/

According to leaked info from Canadian carrier Telus, Android N will release August 22nd for the 5X and 6P, not sure about the 6.

Telus was correct about the release date with marshmallow. So...

[DISCUSSION]Android 4.4.3 Update in June?!

Well done, Samsung. They said in the beginning of June that the Update will be available within June. It is now the 19th. Of July and it's not here yet. They better be updating directly to 4.4.4 soon or at least a fast Android L update when it is available.. This is the only bad side of Android: for non-Nexus users it takes literally half a year to receive a MINOR update... Am I the only one that is angry about this problem?

But what's new. Samsung has newer been fast or early with updates.
They would have binned the 4.4.3 update and gone straight to 4.4.4 which makes sense really.
It shouldn't be too long now that we start seeing it roll out to the S5, but as always it's luck of the draw which region gets it first, & how long others have to wait until it reaches them which could be months.
No one really has a good track record when it comes to updates... sure sometimes some are better than others but if you want to go a non nexus device you have to deal with it
They are taking their time for sure... Sony, HTC already beat them to the punch (dunno about LG).
I only can remember the supposed document that didn't seem so real to be honest, when did Samsung publish an update schedule?
As said before in this thread, they most likely cancelled 4.4.3 to go all the way to 4.4.4 but even Sony has released that now.
i hope they will jump directly to android L

Reason for that being that both HTC & Sony software's isn't as bloated as Touchwiz is, tbh i think this generation of Touchwiz is actually worst performance wise & looks than the last gen on the Note 3 & S4.

Both Sony and HTC have a lot of code to add as well, but they are executing much better.
I suspect the delays are due to Samsung pushing a lot of devices at the same time and having limited engineering resources.
Most likely they are working on the Note 4 at the moment... and the 16 new devices they keep pushing every month.

Yes, you're the only one. Do you even know what .3 and .4 updates are? They're mostly security fixes that OEMs probably fixed in their builds before Google's own Nexus factory Android.

A; we weren't promised the update at all. there was a rumour started because of a heavily cropped image
B,the minor security fixs were possibly put in the NG update we all just got
C you start the thread with a promise of discussion but the op is typical OEM slamming that ive come to expect.
D there is no D because the first 3 were so good

Android 6 Marshmallow for Android One

It's the birth of another sweet treat going to come to Android One in a matter of weeks. I'm sure all of you readers are excited.
Just a few heads up before you get too much enthused though...
1) Know that Google has been working to provide regular security updates over the past few months. This means there should not be a huge delay in the update schedule, unlike last year. Now Google has to serve its new customers in Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan,Turkey,Nigeria,UK, Spain and Portugal instead of just India and Bangladesh, so its obvious that it will look after its babies.
2) Know that in order to get the Android 6 update, you have to have a free storage space of at least 10% of the system memory otherwise it won't download. Further, if you're rooted, install back the stock ROM and stock Bootloader otherwise the installation will result in an error.
Lastly, don't forget to share it when you have received the OTA.
The expected release is in mid October

I waiting for this update since first developer preview!
But I'm a little sceptical....
You are 100% sure that first generation will get official update to 6.0?
Or we have to wait for a custom rom based on marshmallow?
Im pretty sure that the 1st gen will get 6.0 update.
coz If I'm not mistaken google says that they will support the 1st gen android one devices for 2 years.

I know that but on some sites says that Google will support them just 18 months. That is my mainly concern
I hope initial release M not too buggy.

By 'UK', are you referring to the Karbonn Sparkle V that is available through Amazon UK and 7DayShop? BQ deliver their 2GB RAM M.5 to the UK but it is not an Android One device - the 1GB RAM A4.5, which is based on the M4.5 but with a five-year guarantee taking the place of the extra gigabyte of RAM - only delivers to Spain and Portugal.
Congratulations guys!!
Android One has started receiving marshmallow....

[OFFICIAL DEADLINE] Nexus 5 won't receive any guaranteed update after October 15

In an official help page, google announced the android version update deadline for the nexus lineup.
For nexus 5, it's October 2015.
Sadly, our beloved Nexus 5 won't survive Marshmallow. But it'll still continue to receive security update.
Android police article here
So guys, what will be future of Android N on Nexus 5 ?
No one knows anything yet... So you better wait..
The Nexus 5 probably won't get an official Android N release, but there's still a small chance.
We will see.
Oh and BTW the Nexus 5 will get awesome Custom ROMs based on Android N without any doubt.

Daniel Marchena have the same opinion. :fingers-crossed: :good:
To be specific, the first sentence states “After a certain period, Google can no longer guarantee that a device will get version updates or security patches.” (emphasis mine). Beneath this statement are words like “for at least” and “no guaranteed”, indicating not a hard a fast deadline, but instead a guideline that may or may not be followed.

Android N on Tmobile G4?

Was curious if anyone knew if Tmobile is going to be releasing Android N (Nougat?) for the G4 when it officially becomes available? Or should I find a good build of it somewhere (I've been on the Nexus line for YEARS!) and try my luck instead? I'm not patient when it comes to this, but also I want a stable phone and remember the trauma of the Samsung Vibrant (no, gps Noooooooooooo!) .. so.. anyone have any news for me please?

Well i read somewhere that LG will release the Android N for the beloved G4 in the late November 2016 i guess so hope for the best !!
Best case scenario: Less than two months after Android 7.0 release (mid-December 2016)
Yes they gonna release 7.0 for all LG G4 Variants. And they are expected to roll out in December or January, like they did last year with 6.0.
if you are on carrier variants, expect 2,3 months more delay.
But the T-MOBILE software update page doesn't list G4 as being prepared for or planned update to nougat
The G4 will get Nougat more than likely late this year or early next year. And there will be Cyanogenmod and AOSP based ROM as well.

Hi,
OnePlus had promised official nougat update before end of 2016 for one plus 3. Anybody knows of any particular date that is announced?
We are merely a week away from new year.

no official announcement that i know of promised a stable N before years end,
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/closed-nougat-stable-update-for-oneplus-3.480526/
in a recent reply to someone on the OB9 though it was mentioned that another release (most probably beta) will be released before new years, so, that's why i said next is OB10 and it's most probably gonna be for OP3 and OP3T , before unifying the update cycles for both by the stable release, probably early January 2017

if all the issues were ironed out, all of us would like to see an N stable, but this is a development program, push backs are common, and they announce such things on the OP Community Forums, so far i haven't read that there.
they might release a stable before new years, the current beta 9 is solid, i use it as daily driver, all i'm saying that official on their website there's nothing yet to suggest so, specially that OP is known to tease such things ahead of it's release...as i said we all want to see it, my comments is regarding their official status.
I am not so sure that the official Nougat will be available by the year end. But it is possible to get another CB of N with some bug fixes. I tried OB9 and its rock solid.( Only thing is I don't like the accent colours that much ) Oneplus might play it safe by releasing official ota after all bug fixing is done.

Well, here we are and no sign of it yet!
I remember going through this a few years back with a Motorola phone, I used to keep hearing that these updates were "imminent," or likely to "roll out," in various places, at various dates.
If my memory serves me well, it never happened and I got bored with checking..
I'll be chuffed if it does happen before the end of today, but I've already checked and zip!
