Official OnePlus 3 Curved Tempered Glass (New and improved) - OnePlus 3 Accessories

Looks pretty neat. Available for US$20/20€.

i am holding off until i see some reviews. looks great but also looks like it will not work with cases.

Waiting for reviews...

this product looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the aftermarket ones being sold right now.
also, the "curved" probably refers to the curved edges of the tempered glass itself, NOT to the glass curving to fit the phone's curved screen.

If I stop spending money on extras that do not work or are not 100% optimum I think I could buy another new phone.
Btw a bit expensive, not? I'll wait to see some review.

The OG tempered glass from OP for the OP3 is dog ****.
I am very disappointed as it does not even cover the whole screen!

Well i believe it won't work nicely with the back covers like Spigen Ones.

Waiting for the white version and the Reviews

I've tried screen protectors with edge to edge coverage and they gradually form cracks over time. I've had no such issues with non edge to edge screen protectors, this is pretty unfortunate. I wonder if this would do any better.

I've waited for a proper 3D TGSP and would order this, but waiting for the payday
I'm counting on this official protector.

Wonder if this is like the others which don't have adhesive on the clear part.

I just spoke with oneplus customer support and they said that the screen protector has adhesive on the whole surface of the screen protector. But, I am not 100% confident in their response. Will have to wait and see the reviews

Yeah, I'm not confident either lol. It's a shame it has to be that way.
I currently have a wet-install film on my screen because all the tempered glass options have shoddy reviews. The film went on perfectly and is nearly invisible, but I just don't feel as comfortable with it.

Best glass screen protector?

Hey everyone I am in need if a tempered glass screen protector. When I first got this turbo upon release all there really was is the Verizon one which is just thick plastic and now that I got a replacementu an now in need of a tempered glass screen protector.
I got the ivoler brand on amazon. I love it.
i also have had the ivoler for about a month and a half and am happy with it. There is a tiny bit of halo-ing for me at the bottom but overall it has been good and has only gotten a couple scratches thus far. good feel as well.
Which one did you guys get? The 0.2 or 0.3mm

I have the 0.2. I believe the consensus is that it is superior but can't say because I haven't tried both. I believe there is a discussion in the accessories section though!
Edit. Totally forgot the MIME came out for the turbo recently. Haven't had experience with the company but read good things so potentially another to consider

How's the fit now? I got the Verizon glass one the day I got the Droid and not only was it cheap but it barely covered the screen. I know they can't go all the way to the edge but the bottom of it didn't even cover all of the capacitive buttons. Kept catching my finger on it

Are you sure it's glass now? Maybe some pics would be nice. Because the ones they used to sell saying it's flexible glass was all a scam and was just thick plastic.

The ivoler goes as close to the edge as possible and sticks very well to the phone including the edges in which at times screen protectors tend to not do so. I might as well try the ivoler tempered glass and or maybe the Verizon one.

I just ordered the mime protector and will post thoughts once it's received
I just purchased the Xtreme Gaurd Spartan tempered glass protector today. Its .4mm thick which I think is around the thickness of the zagg which I like. Also they have a site wide 50% off code right now posted on the top of the site. It came out to $30 but thats about what I paid for my zagg tempered protector on my G3. I will post pics when I receive it.

So many tempered glass options I just don't know what to choose everyone. How good is mime?
Not to sure just went out on a limb with it. I like the thickness of the zagg so I'm hoping its somewhat the same. Factory "glass" screen protector I got from Verizon is stratched to where its starting to bother me so I hope the xtreme gaurd does better in the scratch deptpartment .

Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

As with any phone, this is a pretty hot topic and I expect no less from this phone.
Please share your experiences with tempered glass screen protectors in this thread so they do not clutter the forum.
Coming from the Nexus 6, tempered glass screen protectors were a nightmare . the curved screen made them have a halo effect and caused proximity sensor issues. I'm hoping this phone is not going to be the same.
Personally I just ordered the Spigen glass.tr slim for my phone.. It can be found for 9.99 + free shipping on amazon currently. I will be reporting back with my review once I receive it and my phone.
I've had bad luck with the tempered glass protectors. On both my Nexus 5 and my Nikon DSLR, I've had the tempered glass break - no damage to the screens themselves, just broken screen protectors. No thanks.
I'd say they did their job then ... Seems they protected your phone from breakinh

Exactly, that's their whole point, to break instead of your screen.

Yeah, lots of folks like them, I've just had bad luck. One on a DSLR, one on a phone, both from reputable manufacturers, and a couple years apart. Neither lasted two months, and I do baby my gear. Weird.
I've had a tempered glass protector on my Galaxy S5 and have had to replace it once do to a crack straight across due to a fall. And yes, the actual screen is perfectly fine. I already received my Spigen tempered glass protector in the mail.

I've broken 3 tempered glass screen protectors so far and damaged 0 phones screens I ordered the Spigen as well
My spigen arrived in the mail today.. Looks great. Can't wait to try it on the phone
In my house, we've got tempered glass protectors on a Galaxy Tab A and a iPhone 6S plus, they have been working out great. We use TechMatte amFilm brand.
I haven't had a screen protector on my GS5 for the last year and don't have any noticeable scratches. Is the tempered glass the way to go? Seems that everyone likes the Spigen one...

They can get scratched I promise, anything with quartz in it like sand, dirt etc will scratch it. I like the Spigen one because they are generally good for the price
My laid my spigen on top of my Cruzerlite bugdroid case to get an idea of coverage and it appears as though the screen protector goes edge to edge..leaving just barely enough room for a lip on a case

If direct light (e.g. sunlight) hits the screen, then you can see the hairline scratches. Is it noticeable in daily use? No. I do see the scratches in direct light only

I can understand that dropping it changes the situation. I am partially debating whether to get one
That's good to know that the screen protectors may not be 9H since steel can scratch it. I wonder why they say it is...

Which screen protector to buy?

What is the best tempered glass screen protector for the OP3 right now? I'm looking for as much coverage as possible, and I have looked at both threads about cases and screen protectors and I am left with these 3 who seem OK:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H8SK88U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for helping out
I think you would be crazy to go for the one from vifocal.... as it is clearly using the images from the other two brands...
Orzly is getting stock in earlier so could go for them - thats why I ordered from them
I dont know how Pleson could have reviews if it isn't even in stock...
I'm wondering the same thing.
I ended up ordering a cheap one from amazon until my nillkin arrives from china. I have used nillkin on other phones with good success.
Im really waiting for xtremeguard to release theirs as they can be bought for dirt cheap and are just as good as the others
Other than this, i am of no help

I mean I'm waiting for a company to make a curved screen protector for the OP3. In the meanwhile, I'm looking for a good alternative which isn't curved.
Screen protectors are quite lucrative on eBay. I got a nice cheap one for my OPO there, so I figured why not do the same for my OP3, and took a chance on this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/322131452093?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=511048999996&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I guess it's ok for what I paid.. The camera/cutouts are off, as a result there's a bigger gap on left side Like some of the other brands, it came from China, so I'm sure there is some repackaging/rebranding going on.. 0.26 thinkness! hahaha... (btw unlocking the phone yields another fantastically spelled message on boot as well).
I should have stuck to the factory one, though I hated how it attracted smudges. As noted earlier, a curved one would be nice. Oh well - steer clear of this one, and hoping someone finds a better one
I buyed from Ebay , Nillkin PRO 0.25mm in 7 usd

It look like the same thing and same price. Any chance of some close up pictures of the finish on the sides and corners please? How you like it so far, transparency, texture, fingerprint,..... any negatives? Your feedback will be most appreciated, thank you.
I have had that product on earlier phones, and to be honest, it has a funny texture to it, and it is nowhere near as good as a tempered glass screen protector. After going to glass , there is no going back to plastic on screen protectors. I have the pleson tempered glass protector for my OP 3 and it is great. Get that one, you won't regret it at all.

Couldn't agree more. "Funny texture" is really a nice way to describe the rubber feeling of the protector. With my personal experience I would say it's rubbish and not worth the money ... not worth any money ... only my personal opinion.

I love glass too, have used it on several phones now and there is no beating the glass protectors except for the stock unprotected screen. There were numerous let downs on the OP3 version of the tempered glass protectors, mainly due to OP3's slightly curved 2.5D edge, its near impossible to get full coverage without some kind of compromise.
How funny is the texture? Is it like clingfilm; transparent and flexible but not smooth glide like glass?

The pleson tempered glass doesn't go to the extreme edge of the glass, but I have no issues with it, and combined with a good protective case you won't notice at all. better to be protected instead of worrying too much about aesthetics

You are a lucky men, better break 10 thousands protectors than the screen, if you have to replace the screen you loose the water resistance.
Also I wanted to see the case front , aliexpress don't show it in any photo.

I also have a ringke onyx case that gives better protection but can't use it with this glass because they touch in the corners.
