Disable Voice over LTE - T-Mobile Note 7 Questions & Answers

I cannot for the life of me find the setting to disable voice over LTE so that I can manage conference calls. It was on the S7 edge. Does anyone know how to do it?
EDIT: I figured out a way to access the menu using Nova Launcher Activities . It seems like TMobile removed the option from the phone menu.

OMG thank you. This was exactly what I needed. Volte drops for me all the time. Love the quality, hate the reliability.
First those wanting a little more guidance, install nova launcher... Press and hold home screen. Widget. Nova activities. 3rd phone, advanced calling. Press and hold to test, then uncheck

Favorite/Quick Dial for Captivate?

So my friend has an Eris and she has a quick dialer on one of her homepages with a grid of ppl in a 3x grid that she can click on and dial. Am I missing something or did the Captivate not ship with something similar?
I can add a direct dial shortcut but I was sort of expecting a widget that either captures and displays your Favorites or can be filled in manually.
If that isn't a freeby, can anyone recommend something similar? I REALLY like the Launcher Pro... but I'm not quite ready to buy it if I still have problems syncing the phone with KIES while it's LP is active.
have you tried the 'people' launcher pro widget? its included in launcher pro. you can have it display just your starred in android friends and when you click on their pic, it pops up a quick access menu
Yep I really like the Launcher Pro favorites app. The only reason why I haven't bought it is because it prevents KIES from working, but after reading up here, I don't think I'll need KIES anymore, tho I DO think it's not a bad piece of software for organizing your media and contacts.
Dialer one in market. Very happy with it will donate

Or you can just hold on the blank portion of the home screen and add a contact shortcut works just as well. You can select any one in the contacts list not just favorites.

This works in Touchwiz?
if so, thats awesome....launching a phone call to a friend as easy as launching an app.
pretty nice if thats accurate.

Yes, you can add a direct dial shortcut to one of the home screens. Also with Launcher Pro you can add a direct dial shortcut to the launcher at the bottom of the screen (where you get the 3 pages of launchers to side scroll through).
Also, you know the stock samsung dialer has 9 speed dial favorites you can set. Just go to the phone dialer app, hit menu and its there under speed dial setting.
sounds good.
I'll check that out as soon as mine gets here.

Perfect Task Switcher

For those of us who prefer the stock-ish experience and get frustrated by the inability to hold down home for app switching, AppBrain turned me on to a nifty little free app called Perfect Task Switcher. It runs well with TNT 3389+performance pack. You can also lets you select which home screen (classic or TNT) you want to go to when you do the 2x press on home.

I applied the home long press fix and now I can use the home button to access recent apps. It is very easy to apply. Would you like the link?

Thanks for the offer. I saw that a bit back but didn't apply it for some reason. I'm sure it is very easy to apply, but Perfect Task Switcher works and won't be replaced (likely) by a firmware update. Also, it has task-killing functionality built into it, so that's a nice little bonus.

remove annoying screen shot button?

Just picked up one of these beauties (truely samsung paid attention to the iPad), aside from the annoying lack of a micosd slot (and touchwiz, really has no dev wanted to make a touchwizless rom? haha)
Can one remove the screen shot button from the launcher? frequently when I type or go to used the "recent list" I accidentally hit it, I must have 20 screen shots in less than 24hrs!
thanks!
Bump. I wish they could have given you the option to disable it.
Still waiting for a dolution to this myself. Tried launcher replacements like adw ex or launcher pro but nothing
Ok if you freeze com.sec.android.screencapture (search for screen in case i spelled it wrong) in TitaniumBackup it disables it, however the icon will remain.
Not perfect but a workable solution until cm9 arrives for us!

Thanks Ill try this. I don't mind the button but a screen shot out of context can make for an embarrassing moment. Especially when your girlfriend picks up the tablet.

That is true because I turned it off on my 8.9 LTE but damn if I can remember how I did it.
Currently Skyrocketing into Android Space!
none that I've seen under "screen", I am on a custom rom, Overcome
You can freeze it with Titanium Backup. The button remains but is inert, so you're not taking random screen shots willy nilly.
I think the Tab Plus has the functionality to disable/remap that button, it's not on my 8.9 LTE or 10.1 WiFi.
Yes I mentioned that fix earlier, strange they have it in the tab +. maybe we can port it over.
There is a setting in the display area. I changed mine to an apps key. So it now does the same as the apps icon in the top right corner.
Took me a while to figure it out but under settings go to screen and configure the Quick Launch settings.

It was...when I flashed the AT&T firmware, I got the setting option. Win.
Downside, I also got all the AT&T bloatware, and an older version of Market.

For Android 4,go to settings, select display, then select quick launch and then select the desired option. You can replace the screen capture button with something else or just remove it.

[Q] Fastest way to access Google Now "Voice"?

Anyone know how to access Google Now "Voice" on the Xperia Z lockscreen or before you unlock your phone?
Google Now widget doesn't allow that.
Currently I can either have google search widget or icon on home screen.
Even if I can change the "long hold soft home key" to go directly to voice instead of search that would be great.
Thanks!

There are plenty of ways if you are rooted, I personally have it as the center shortcut on LMT pie controls.

Thanks for your reply.
I should have added that I would like to keep stock launcher/lockscreen and without any additional apps running in the background if possible.
I really have no use for additional controls.

Ok then if you can, install uccw and create a widget with a google voice hotspot.
My phone is going through the flashing process or else i would've seen what else was possible.

Yeah, been searching around and looks like I may have to install an app.
uccw sounds ok. I just want something as unobtrusive as possible.
Checking out the playstore for some gesture apps as well.
Did you try holding the home button for a second then swipe upward after you see Google now icon appears. Then say "Google" it will automatically activate Voice command. I hope it helps.

just swiping up from the home button is enough, I think.

Double Tap Home Button To Open Camera

When the Samsung Galaxy S6 came out I really liked this feature of quickly launching the Camera app by just double tapping on the physical Home button. Some people are lucky and still using KitKat ROMs in which Xposed is available and this can be done, but its not good implemented on Lollipop 5.0.1 just yet( if I'm not mistaken) Well for those people looking for something similar(like myself) this is a pretty good and easy way to make it happen, the Camera wont launch as fast as the GS6 but something still better than nothing, I will leave some Step by Step procedure with some pictures for references,so lets get started,
NO ROOT REQUIRED
Download Home2 Shortcut from Google Play for free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eikatou0.appspot.home2shortcut
1-Open up Home2 Shortcut and scroll down 'till you reach your first stop - "Step1". Here, you'll assign the Home key to the Camera app. So tap "Choose Application", choose "Camera" and hit "Ok".
2-Next, you'll adjust the duration, or how quickly you must tap the home button to complete the action. So scroll down to "Step 2", tap the "Normal" drop-down menu, and choose "Normal"
3-Scroll down to "Step 3", where you'll complete an important setting. Tap "Choose Home Application" and select the launcher you're currently using.
4-Scroll down to the final "Step 4" and tap Close. Android will prompt you to select an app to complete the action. In this screen, select "Home2 Shortcut", and then choose "Always".
5-Go ahead and try launching the Camera by double tapping the Home button. It should work.
THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK WITH THE SCREEN OFF

Yeah it works very well...i posted cuz i see people interested in the same thing but no threads about it...cheers:fingers-crossed:
Thanks! I've installed it and it works very well. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it though because I often go for a photo walk around the city where I'll take the phone out of my pocket, snap a photo and put it back in my pocket. This app doesn't really speed up the process of opening the camera.

I stated on OP, THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK WITH SCREEN OFF, but let see youre using any app or browsing and you need to snap a photo just double tap the home button, instead of going back home, opening the app drawer, and looking for the camera app, of course this isn't perfect, but it works really well, thanks for the comment, if helped please press the Thanks Button, appreciate, god bless, cheers:fingers-crossed::highfive:

Thanks for the hint!
also If you have custom launcher like Nova it is possible to do the same thing by assigning it to launch camera upon hitting home button , so if you're browsing or playing game double tapping home button opens the camera.

Works perfectly fine for me, never happened by mistake.
I use Nova launcher. There is an option in 'Gestures' to do a task if you press twice the home buttom. Just choose to open the Camera app.

Well it isn't double tap exactly, I meant that if you are using any app, like Whatsapp for example, and you want to open camera you have to press twice to open it, once for homescreen and other to open the camera.
If it doesn't work with screen off, then if you have nova launcher prime, it's better to add the camera app to the home button in button and gestures submenu

Exactly, there's no way to implement double tap everywhere, only a single tap on the homescreen, or a single tap everywhere but activating that would leave us without a home button
