I am from India and i have AT&T Note 3 unlocked variant.
I took a new connection- Reliance JIO. I am sure most of you guys must not be aware about it but it only works on VOLTE.
Inserted the sim today and found that data (Internet) is working fine but unable to make incoming and outgoing calls.
Reliance JIO uses a app called JioJoin which actually makes calls through VoLTE.
I tried going to *#*#4636#*#* and i have selected LTE/GSM but still unable to make outgoing calls.
Is there any rom which i can install where VoLTE is working fine?
I am using [ROM]AryaMod V8.3 TW Lollipop For ATT [Port] and developer has clearly mentioned that VOLTE is not working.
Please help.
Does VoLTE work on a stock rom? The 900a supports the carrier lte frequencies?

I don't think custom ROMs on N900A support VoLTE. You can use Jio 4G voice though...
I have Sm-N900S with arya mode Note 7 v2.1 custom rom how to get volte in this rom for jio sim I am using jio voice for call but this is irritating app

I dont have solution for your query. But i am in need to root & load custom rom on to my SM_N900A. Do you have instructions and files needed for this? I had some issues in the past as listed below:
I earlier installed lollipop and i experienced signaling related issues as most of the time the phone says "emergency calls only"....so i flashed it back to 4.4.2 based on the instructions listed in XDA. still i am experiencing same calling issues.
so, i thought may be i should flash a custom rom which might fix these issues and tried this tutorial and got following error:

after this, my phone stuck at boot logo, so used ODIN again to restore back to 4.4.2, but this time i see a "custom rom" logo in addition.
Now, what i need help is, can i fix this issue of "emergency calls only" at most of the times? if the signal is too good, then the phone works!!! appreciate any help.

sekhar, you can't flash a custom ROM to a 900A, only a modified Samsung 900A ROM.
Second, you flash a ROM first, then you root it. Rooting first, then flashing a ROM, flashes an unrooted ROM (unless it's rooted, in which case you didn't have to root it first). It's the ROM that's rooted, not the hardware.
The "custom ROM" issue is because there are still signs in the phone that there had been a custom ROM in it. You could install Xposed, then install the Wanam Xposed app, and set the ROM to "normal".

So I have this i957 at&t with the stock att ics 4.0.0.4 rom installed. Way better than honeycomb btw duh. So I sold my galaxy s3, and I want to use this device as my tablet and phone via bluetooth. Device rooted CWM installed etc. I bought a H20 sim card and threw it in the device, activated sim and everyhting. getting full bars.
The issue is I cannot get the Dialer to work. Dialer app is in the system folder, I have tried to install other dialers and it say's "cannot install"
I have no way to access my dialer and its pissing me off because i know there is 3g and 4g LTE ability on this device, H20 is att network with no unlock necessary (even though it is unlocked
Can anyone help me? am I s.o.l.? I dont want to have to install aokp rom again because its so unstable... Please help and thank you

I didn't install the bootloader because I don't know where to get it, there was no link for the same. Just a day prior I had installed Dr Ketans Nougat N3 ROM and it's bootloader. It's not the same recommended 'PD1' ending rather a 'PD3' ending, I don't know how much of a difference that makes, only that I don't have VoLTE working right now.
Data works, whatsapp , internet etc works.
Calls and SMS don't however.
I tried using a few fixes here and there, changes APN settings blah blah blah nothing worked.
I am now convinced that not having the right bootloader is the issue.
Can someone please tell me how / where to get the files and/or how to get VoLTE Jio 4g working on my new ROM?
All help would be MUCH appreciated!
I think T-Mo might have done some stuff to the network recently, not sure what happened but suddenly I cannot make calls. Data is fine, but when I try to call it goes "Dialing.." but won't connect.
is there a way to flash T-Mo rom or anything to try?

No, you cannot flash a stock T-mobile ROM to the 900a but you may be able to flash a custom ROM based on a stock T-Mobile ROM.

Hello everyone!
I am new to custom ROM flashing. I got a Samsung Note 8 N950N (korean model - I guess) - but it shows N950F in Settings app. I got a used phone from someone, and they had installed some custom ROM on it.
Now, I flashed LineageOS 17.1 on it, everything is working smoothly so far but my mobile network isn't working. I can't make or receive calls. The phone is showing "Emergency Calls Only" - but showing the network name, and I can also access the SIM card toolkit inside the phone.
I tried clearing cache and everything but can't seem to make it work. I tried using the manual cellular search, but it says couldn't find any network.
It is a dual sim phone, I had 2 IMEI appearing on earlier ROM, but now with LineageOS 17.1 - I am only getting 1 IMEI as well.
Update: I restored to the OLD ROM (LamLazy Rom v3 Dual SIM) - and the network is now working back on the phone. I don't know why it wasn't working on LineageOS 17.1, can someone please help?

I am new to Android Custom ROM and everything. I got this phone from a local vendor and it was running a custom rom called "LamLazy Rom v3.0 Dual SIM" - I researched on it and figured it was used to convert N950N to N950F or something like that.
I have the EFS and TWRP complete backup of the LamLazy ROM. I wanted to try LineageOS 17.1 on my device and flashed it using TWRP. After the successful flashing, I noticed my phone can no longer connect with my network. I cannot make or receive phone calls. I tried every possible thing that I knew. Even flashed series of Custom ROMs, on every other rom I faced the same network issue.
However, when I revert back to LamLazy it works fine. I can use both of my SIM slots and my phone shows 2 IMEI's while on lineage and other it shows only one IMEI.
Now, my problem is I want to get rid of LamLazy and try new ROMs such as Pixel Experience and LineageOS, but my cellular network doesn't work. Can someone please help me with this? :crying:

i bought a note 8 from someone and it was running a custom os tried to iroall stock rom and i now i get emergency calls and cant register on any networks..my phone is only a single simcard phone but it shows two imei numbers now and one is 0000000 pleass help i dont even know how to post on xda sorry for hijacking your post
