Official OnePlus 3 TGSP VIDEO - Application & Testing it with multiple cases! - OnePlus 3 Accessories

Hi all,
Received this in the mail about an hour ago, got it out and stuck it on the phone all on camera for you folk. Also tested it with every case I have, so take a look! I've only had it on for about half hour but it's very clear and responsive! Will discuss more once I've had it on for longer!
Jono

Posted a quick video on the screen cut-off with this TGSP:

Awesome thanks! How does it compare to Orzly as I know there has been a lot of talk about both!?

Obviously no dot-matrix or rainbow affects, but you loose part of your screen. Tough choice to make!:laugh:

No, I'm serious. Because when I tap(with normal force I think) on the screen I can hear a sharp enough sound and feel a good amount of force being exerted.

do you really think they make s pen for the galaxynote to damage the screen ? mmmm
btw i will get one next week ( hope i can get white one ) i'll let you know .
It's gorilla glass, if you can damage it with a pen something would definitely be wrong!

I've cleaned this thread- instead of responding to 'trolls' and comments please hit the report button - it's far easier to clean up. Thank you, now carry on intelligently discussing the Samsung Note.
i might finally get a good screen protector.
Seriously,
Will you need a screen protector for this phone?
Im changing from an iphone 4 and my sons (iphone 4) if full of scratches.
Ive never used a pda or smartphone without a protector (martin fields) yet, will I be safe to exclude one with the note?
I've had my Captivate (with gorilla glass) for over a year and there isn't a scratch on it. I am careful, however, the glass is pretty durable. I've never liked screen protectors, they always degrade the view of the screen somewhat. Yes, I've always purchased quality screen protectors, that isn't the problem

Well, think about this - will you actually be using the stylus all the time? I'm still going to be using my finger for most things, unless I really want to make precise lines, write, etc. I'm not going to color or paint, that isn't something I'd do, but write lists, perhaps...that's about it. So, if it only comes out occasionally, then I don't see the issue. It is glass, after all, not a soft material like my old Palm unit - I wore out the upper corners playing solitaire
I've had my Dell Streak for over a year. First 3 month, kept a screen protector on it, but I took it off and have been screen protector free since. In and out of a pouch dozens of times a day, not one scratch. If it has gorilla glass, don't worry about it unless you use a diamond tip

If you're pressing hard enough to make noise, I actually wonder if the screen is going to break the stylus. The tip looks like it's made of plastic.
Slightly off topic, if you write a lot it might be worth getting a screen protector so the surface has more friction. I used to stick scotch tape to my palm so the stylus felt more like a pencil.
- Frank
Back in the days of the windows tablet (yes long before the iPad) I had an Acer that I could only operate with a stylus. A wacom stylus, with the same tip as the one that comes with the Note. I used it for years on a day to day basis and even used a writing to text input. Not a scratch! And this was without a screen protector.
Because the Note has a (gorilla) glass screen (in contrast to the Acer which had some kind of plastic screen) it didn't even come to my mind that I could ever scratch the Note screen with the stylus.

Rhino Shield screen protector pre-order started.

Just recevied an email from Evolutivelabs.com since I did contacted them last week, and the G4 version of the screen protector is coming next week and you can pre-order now.
When installed its prety much like tempered glass...that never brakes :cyclops:
They also said depending on the response to this will tell if they make their bumper case
I received the same e-mail.
Hello!
Just a quick follow up: we just released the Rhino Shield impact resistant for the G4, on pre-order!
http://www.evolutivelabs.com/products/rhino-shield-screen-protector-for-lg-g4
We should ship early next week. How well it sells will factor in our decision-making about the bumper.
Best regards,
Patrick

I wish they did the bumper.
I realy wonder how the speaker/cam/sensor cuts will be...
I hope to see only speaker and maybe proxy sensor cuts...
All the other models I have seen for the G4 are ugly with a large asymetric cut.
Also I am wondering if they did created a sightly curved screen protector or simply a flat one that would take the curve by itself.
I want the bumper....
Just found one of the video testing the screen protector, the guy on the video keeps laughing and laughing... :
PS : and his screen protector isn't the right model for his actual device...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm happy to buy the BEST product, WHATEVER that product may be. I'm not opposed to buying cookies from the dollar store, if they are yummy cookies.

Tbh this company is a joke. They always wait till a phone is released, then do a pre-order. By the time you get the product, the phone's been out 3 months.....

They will start shipping in 2 days.
That is not 3 month later, but at max 1 month after G4 launch.
The preorder thing is simply there for you to be sure to get the screen protection without delay.
If you are not happy with that simply buy something else.

Ok. I checked my gmail history for this purpose
It was end of 2012 and the name the thing was "Crystalusion Liquid Glass Screen Protector", the price was 10 British pounds with shipping.
I applied it as per instruction but I did not notice ANY difference at all, I also pretty sure that I even forgot that I did it in a couple of days... 2012 means that I had HTC One X at that time and i sold it unbroken in spring when M7 was out. So maybe it actually worked xD jk

Hahahaha, I guess not even noticing/remembering you applied could be seen as a good thing?! Honestly though, I don't know anything about this company/technology so I'm a bit weary to try it out.. Compared to "name-brand" protectors like Zagg and Spigen.
I have order one. I will test it on my old smartphone and upload video on youtube.

Awesome! Good luck, haha.
I have tried such product long ago for my Samsung S3. I don't find it that helpful. In fact my screen got scratched even after applying that, within one month.
I would say, this product is a gimmic. Mostly, all current device comes with Gorilla glass. So this protector acts like a polish, thats all.

Yeah, I also read that you need to re-apply the product every year or so, which I just don't feel like doing. I'd rather go with a tempered glass protector with a lifetime warranty. Get my money's worth!
I have tested it, and it is does not work.
I applied it on half of screen and tried to scratch the phone. There is no different part of screen with applied Kristall Liquid is scratching the same as part of screen without Kristall Liquid. The same finger prints are the same on both parts of screen.
In my opinion it is waste of money.
I make some video but quality is not the best. maybe later I will upload it on youtube.

Kristall liquid screen protector
The product works great and preserves the natural beauty of your phone. More info at kristallnorthamerica.com.
Brand new on the market abd works better than other nano products that came before. It just won best in show at CES 2016 from a major trade publication
While I personally have never tried any of these liquid screen protectors I know a few years back Linus made a test video after applying some. Pretty sure it was a different brand though.

Replacement back for Mix?

Hi All,
Has anyone been able to track down somewhere that is selling a replacement back for the Mix? Mine is scratched quite heavily (likely from using a fairly tight sleeve) and I would really like to replace it....Or for any poor soul out there who has damaged their Mix and would like to sell the back. The irony is the sides of the phone are pristine and not a scratch, not so much on the back.
Thanks in advance

You are wrong. It is made in China.Enough said.Looks good but who cares about quailty. It is NOT CERAMIC but made to looks like it.
I had it and my suggestion is save money for Galaxy S8+ or something more valuable.
I had to take the pictures with my Galaxy tablet so not the best quality but you get the picture. This is with normal day to day use as well, nothing extreme. I even had the Best Buy film on the back for a few months but got tired of the sharp edges from the film every time i unlocked with the finger print sensor. I am wondering if the chemicals from the glue combined with peeling of the film stripped some of the finish somehow as this is supposed to be so scratch resistant. Maybe just one with a faulty finish.

So the YouTube video is fake or is it your phone, it's been tested against scratches with a hardness of 7, second to none, don't get it. Not one other person complaining I dropped mine when it slipped off a table on it's own while i was in another room,, expecting the worse but not even a mark.

Sorry, I am not sure what your point is. I am certainly not making it up as per the pictures. I was only asking if anyone had seen the replacement backs anywhere. I absolutely love his phone but have been disappointed how much is has scratched on the back, not questioning the online videos etc.
By the way, what was the purpose of your post? If you have nothing to contribute to solving the question at hand why say anything?

Suppose my point was because of shortage of the ceramic maybe they sent some out with different materials.
Mine is just fine after a while of use, both in and out of a protective case, side note mine also doesn't have the "cottage" cheese looking blemishes yours seems to have in the pictures. Its possible to have received a "repaired" one instead of a legit one ... especially if it came from a reseller. There are mentions of this on the xiaomi reddit and other places. its extremely scratch resistant, as much so as any Samsung or other device out there that I have dealt with [and I do service work on phones so I have seen plenty of damaged devices - HUGE number of sub standard Samsung's btw - for the value guy ]
Good luck on finding a part supplier, you MAY find one on Aliexpress ... but there more than likely not going to be genuine parts. Vopmart.com

Here there's the skin from gadgetshieldz it just fits the phone perfectly. You can apply it using an hairdryer for couple seconds to soften the glue!
Buy also the Mi logo stickers because the Mi cutouts of the skin aren't centered with the mi logo on the back of the phone (mi logo stickers are a little more difficult to place because they are really small)

I also oreder it 23/12/2018 and it still did not arrived, I opened the dispute on their page and they responded that the package was probably lost and that they are sending it again, I just needed to confirm my address again so just in case any of you have had similar problem
EDIT: so it just arrived, I applied it and it looks awesome, the phone is not slippy anymore. only downside I see for now is that side buttons are not that "clicky" anymore, other I will test after some time, curious to see how durable it will be
Hello, pls can you post some photos? What is the accuracy of the "skin"?? Thanks
The accuracy is perfect, except for the Mi logo, but it doesn't matter for me. The actual feel is amazing, don't know if you can see it on the picture, but it's not the same phone and the cheap feel of plastic is gone, material and finishing of this seems really good/premium for just under 10$
