The thing is, I'm also having trouble locating that thread/forum.
I quoted OP to emphasize that I, too, need help rooting and finding a suitable ROM for this particular device.
(Sorry for reviving an old thread?)

Alguém teria alguma solução para erradicar esse modelo?

Why not post in a general devices forum section instead of Xposed? They aren't even related.

U have to flash a twrp image via fastboot or boot from twrp image. Then u may update software with su binaries. But still to do this, you have to unlock you bootloader. And suprise!!! U can't!!! **** this ?

Maybe somehow frp can unlock but do not know how to check if unlocked

Verizon Nexus 6

I am thinking about getting the nexus 6 this week. I have looked around this thread and have some questions.
1. Is the bootloader for the Verizon nexus 6 unlockable? (If so, please add a tutorial link)
2. Does Xposed installer work with this device?
Thanks

1. Yes, the same way as every other Nexus device, so just read the stickied guides at the top of this section.
2. Yes and no. It works on 5.0.x but not on 5.1.x, which is what your device came preloaded with. I'm not sure what parts of your firmware can/can't be downgraded if you really want to roll back to 5.0.x to use Xposed, so maybe someone else will chime in with those specifics.

I certainly would like to roll back to get Xposed. Also what roms do you recommend for this device? And could you link how to root/install custom recovery? Thanks!

If you downgrade from 5.1, do not revert your bootloader. Downgrading bootloader from 5.1 to 5.0.1, then eventually back to 5.1 could potentially lead to a brick.

My first suggestion would be to use the search function provided by XDA. As I'm sure you suspect, all of this information is out there waiting for you to find it.
Look through the Q&A forum. I'm sure you'll find answers there.

It's OK to downgrade system.img and boot.img. Just don't downgrade your bootloader. Unless you never want to go back to 5.1.

You'll find, that there's a guide written, for pretty much everything you want to do. The steps are simple and fast. Just read the relevant threads and be sure you know what you're doing. Once you unlock your bootloader, leave it unlocked. Flash recovery and root and have fun!

Since you're unlocking and getting a custom recovery anyway, all you have to do is flash a 5.0.2 rom and 5.0.2 kernel. Most devs have updated past that, but you can find links to their older builds usually from the same download folders.

I would suggest that a little bit of patience might be in order here. Xposed is very popular, and I can't imagine that it would be more than a couple of weeks before it's functional on 5.1.

http://www.osroots.com/root-lenovo-vibe-c2-root-lenovo-cell-phone-osroots/

The Root options, if available, are fairly new and not widely known yet.
This is probably the best results that I can locate.

I own a device of the same chipset MT6735P. I could easily gain root access by using kingroot app. Kingoroot is another app to give a try. Both of these apps have a Windows tool as well. Give it a shot and let me know the results.:good:

No, you don't root the chipset you root the firmware. And the firmware is applied different by different manufacturers. On this device, you can't access Vol up from fastboot fx to do a OEM bootloader unlock. Others, like Sony, encourage the Open Source community by having an official way to unlock the bootloader. Others do everything not to.
There is two ways of rooting, either to be able to unlock the bootloader so you can flash a custom recovery (like TWRP) or using an exploit inside the system itself to gain access to the system.

SM-J327T Root Method & Custom Recovery REQUEST

Any old unlocked phones? DeviceManagement if so pm me about them. Im stuck on metro. Not sure for how much longer though. And I don't know why they insist on locking us out of OUR phones. It is a pain, such a pain. And the reason i even got this phone is to fix my service issues. However they are just as bad.

If you have an H872, then all you have to do is follow this. Read it several times to make sure you understand, and Google videos if needed to make sure you understand. @pena020563 gave you the answer you need, albeit in a cryptic manner - his link will eventually take you to the link I supplied above. And I don't know why he even mentioned Kingroot. The method I am linking you to is, as far as I know, the only way to root an H872. Don't bother with anything else.
Had you looked just a little harder, you know...scrolled down a quarter of the page, you would have found the link I gave you all on your own.
Good luck!

what's your problem with this xda guide? I think it's simple enough but you have to carefully understand what you have to do (just read carefully). If you don't want to leave windows you can use virtual machine (which I believe is more complicated to setup and need more PC resources).

You're the 3rd person to link to that guide. The OP is lazy.
