Are you'll indoors or outdoors?
Try installing this if your location isn't working indoors, but is working outdoors.

GPS Fix problems

Hi,
I've been having problem for some time with GPS and Google Navigator: after a while the navigator looses the GPS fix and never regains it. The odd thing is that I have no problem with Waze.
Do you have any clue of what could be the problem and how to fix it?
I have a stock ROM and the phone is not rooted.
Thanks
A-GPS update ?
Have you tried any apps like "GPS Status & Toolbox" from the play store to force update/reset your A-GPS data ? It might sound dumb ...

[Q] Nexus Experience ROM on Moto X 2014: GPS bricked

Hello everyone,
I recently flashed to this ROM and I love it so far. However, I am facing a major issue with my GPS; it is completely bricked. Whenever I launch an app like Maps, Waze or Navigation the apps will always show me my current location and then stop detecting any further motion. In the case of Waze, it reports "GPS signal lost, please try going outdoors".
I did not do anything exceptional or different from what I usually do, I attempted to use a nav app on "device only" and "high accuracy" on a route I used the GPS before, but nothing changed.
I flashed back to my backup and the GPS is again working fine.
Is there a way to fix this, or is GPS generally broken in the latest Nexus Experience ROM?
Thanks in advance!
Restore the back up where GPS is working. Open maps and let it lock on your location. Do not close out of the app. Boot directly into recovery, wipe, flash Nexus rom, flash gapps and reboot. This has worked for most everyone...good luck
This actually worked! Thanks a bunch!
Good Solution! :good:

Any GPS fix for CM 4.2.2? No Gapps installed.

hi,
I've flashed the cm 4.2.2 and everything is really nice and smooth except the gps, it just can't get a fix. i have looked for fixes almost all say clear cache memory on google services etc.. but i do not have gapps installed and i'm keeping it that way. so far did not face any problem without the Google support.
So is there any way to fix the gps issue? is it because i haven't installed gapps?
appreciate any help since i'm a biker and ride quite a lot to unknown places.
Thank you.

Note 9 GPS problems after updating to One UI

Hello guys,
After updating my note 9 to the One UI I encounter some really annoying problems with my GPS.
I can't really use Waze or Gmaps because the location is not working properly. The GPS keeps losing signal all the time, city or highway.
I downloaded GPS test and it seems like the phone can't lock the signal properly, even when it succeeded, the accuracy is really bad, around 32 - 64 meter, and sometimes more.
I tried to look for other cases on the internet but I couldn't find anything.
Is anyone encounter this problem? Can offer a solution that might solve it?
Thanks.
Obviously thinking that not having problems before with Oreo excludes hardware issues, try first of all to make a wipe cache in recovery mode to see if resolves and if not, try wipe data in settings - applications of every single app involved and if all done is worthless, try even to reinstall the single app. If not resolving I think that a factory reset, always from recovery, is needed because don't know others, me included, having this issue .
I'm using a Note FE and I recently updated my device to Pie with One UI and my GPS problem is exactly like yours. I need help too. Can't seem to find any solution.

I had that issue with my note 9 sprint version when i flashed tmobile u1 android pie, i ended doing a factory reset and everything worked fine after that. My google maps would lose signal when i put phone into standby it would say lost gps signal or something like that. But if i used the app it would work fine.

GPS not working after March update

Hi guys,
So gps is not working well. Waze and google maps can't get a close on my location when i'm trying to navigate. I've had this issue with the first version of the pie update but that was fixable with disabling some google service in the gps settings. Now that does not help. Any of you have this issue? Can anything be done to resolve this?
Cheers
Hi,
I'm facing the same problem too. This is getting really frustrating. One update fixes the problem and the next one messes it up again. I'm really tired of this...
