sMiUI is a Custom-ROM-Project for Xiaomi-Devices that started in late 2014. It is based on the weekly Developer ROM, released by Xiaomi. Further we participate from the xioami.eu Team, which does a great job in adding European languages to the chinese ROM!
sMiUI packs lots of great features, fixes and performance-tunings on top!
The sMiUI ROM-Kitchen enables you to choose and select only the Features and Mods you want! You can either cook a ROM with basic improvements, or pack lots of Design, Performance and App Features on top of it.
Select your device and start customizing sMiUI just as you like it - its easy as that.
Center Clock Mod
This Feature changes the look of your statusbar. The clock will be centered and other notifications will appear on the left side. It is an iOS-like Design and displays the battery percentage next to the graphical logo.
Multilanguage
sMiIU is based on xiaomi.eu builds which include almost all major European languages! They have great Teams, improving the translations every day! Read more about the languages here
CPU and Thermal Tweaks
Performance Mode is more powerfull and Balanced Mode is a perfect Mix between Performance and Batterysaving which will never heat your device! Heat can damage your device very quickly and Xiaomi unfortunately ships its devices with very bad thermal control configs. sMiUI keeps your device cool!
Modded System Animations
sMiUI enables you to choose between default and modded System and Screen OFF Animations. Enable this Feature and enjoy your phones display shutting off like an old CRT-Screen!
init.d Support
Advanced Android/Linux Users will enjoy this Feature. You can place your own Shell-Scripts to the boot-order without editing the kernel or ramdisk! Install further optimization- or cleanup scripts and be sure they get executed everytime you boot your phone.
Volume Boost
Available for almost all Xiaomi-Phones this Feature improves your Audio Quality and increases Volume for Headphone, Speakers and Calls.
Ad-Blocker

Well, he calls it "balanced" mode, but really, it's battery saving mode vs non-battery saving mode.

Get GravityBox [MM] from Xposed > Lockscreen tweaks> Disable Imprint vibrations.
I highly recommend NOT using this for anything else unless you know how the MIUI source interacts with the base code of android.
So far, I haven't seen too much difference between the dev rom except the centered clock lol. Honestly, the only thing that's nice is that I didn't have to flash Xposed myself + it has an annoying boot logo animation.

In settings "Headphones & audio effects" not working.. giving FC
Also in Sound & vibration - Audio setting not working...
New feature in quick ball to swipe to the edge of the screen to hide Quick ball is not available... this feature is available in Developer rom 6.9.8

It's given in description, it has a patched boot.img, just head on to sMIUI page. More details is present there explaining the mods and performance improvements over the official stock one

Installation guide:

If you want to go back to previous rom, boot into recovery select backup and restore choose backup in the list and restore.
As it is still in development, you may encounter some bugs and issues expected to be fixed as development progress towards better build!
Make sure you have the latest recovery version!

Being using this rom as my daily driver for almost a week now and I love it.
I think it's the fastest AOSP rom I've tried of all of the SGS3 available ones.
Very stable, full of features, etc.
My SGS3 now looks just like a new Nexus 5 would and is almost as fast :good:

Yeah, I've been having crashes of the UI lately which delete the changes I had done to the status bar with Gravity Box and I have to redo them again.
Quite annoying every day.
Rest seems ok, but it's not as stable as I previously though. I hope they can fix this crashes.

Instructions
Pre-requisites: unlocked bootloader | latest TWRP recovery
1. Download ROM, Gapps and put it on the phone's internal storage.
2. Boot into TWRP recovery.
3. Coming from a different ROM? Perform a factory reset using TWRP and wipe /system in Advanced wipe. If you're upgrading from Chroma ROM, proceed to dirty flash (nandroid backup before flashing is a good idea)
4. Clean Installation: Flash ROM, GApps
....Dirty Flash: Flash ROM, no need to wipe
5. Reboot and enjoy.

It's just me, Syko and some freelancing graphics from @boysetsfire. I'm doing all of the feature sets, thread maintaining and Syko is just being a build bot for devices other than the shamu (Nexus 6). @boysetsfire helps me make cool bootanimation and wallpapers

The build is too good to be just a second build (but isn't that the thing for which @sykopompos is known ). Few glitches are there but they are manageable:
1. Can't see Home option (to select launcher) in settings
2. Wallpaper can not be changed.

THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Place this file to your root/etc folder. Rename your old init.qcom.post_boot.sh to init.qcom.post_boot.sh.bak
and replace your old file this new downloaded file chance permissions to 0644, and reboot your phone.
If you don´t already use, then chance your governor to interactive. And you won´t believe results. PLEASE try first at the non-oc kernel, so you get the idea how big change is started in your phone. After you have get the hold of it, the you cand try oc- version.
And I quarantee, your phone feels totally different. Multitask, speed, everything.
I made that file weeks for your pleasure. But be careful, on top of that wrong settings can harm your phone. But just adding this file do no harm to your phone. So test it and tell me what do you thin of it. It also can use of course with arter97 kernels, but governor must set to interactive.
What comes to installing doj2 kernel, if you have some kernel already installed, you can just flash it on top. If you do clean install; install first firework and without reboot doj2 straight after. Wifi and everything should work. Best results come with oc-kernel.
I am not responsible if u damage your phone by doing something against my advice. Ask and I will advise. And please take into count, it was my first, not counting practice versions and I made it over a month. But it really works

Didn't tested nfc because I can't and for wifi if you use arter kernel it work

You should use 9.0 (i making change and pointing to the right one) I tried 11.1 kernel and it made micro lag for me too but with 9.0 all was okay

Video recording doesnot work at all ...there is sleep issue on turkdev rom ..but in miui pro video recording is not working at all on 7.9.21 version and even the xposed module AppEnv couldnot solve the recording issue ..can anyone help me?

I've tested Footej Camera myself and it works even after deep sleep.
I've also read that Mi A1 camera port also works but I didn't tested so can't confirm on that.
If you record a video and play it and wait long enough video stream plays after the audio finished, so the data is written but somehow the video gets corrupted.

I just need to know whether stock camera records video for you?? Let me know...

I like this rom, but isn't spanish language. It's hard to translate?

Stock camera works only after reboot, until CPU enter deep sleep, so if you reboot you phone as long as you don't turn off the screen (lock the phone) every camera app including stock works OK.
You can also use Stay Awake app that doesn't allow CPU to enter deep sleep but it's not wise to forbid deep sleep as your battery will drain/discharge much quicker.

5G wifi doesn't work.

Someone with tutorial or app to traduce this rom in spanish language?

Decompiling system apps/things and creating spanish strings.

Known issues :
Video recording after sleep (use Footej Camera) - dont mind
VoLTE - dont mind
Goodix fingerprint sensor - any patch?
Autobrightness - dont mind
Brightness slider is not adjusting brightness in linear scale

I guess we have to wait for more mature ROM to get Goodix FIX. I guess the problem is that Goodix absent in Mi Max MIUI and tha'ts why it more difficult to add it to MIUI.
I think the ROM have less FC after activation of L Speed Mod "runtime & heap optimisation"

Add support to multi language (spanish) ..please!

Update Google Camera for/compatible with MIUI Pro (but video bug is still present).
I've also found a BIG MOD for MIUI Pro but right now it's only for MIUI Pro vased on Marshamallow MIUI 9 only.

phone today have a bit laggy but still fine. wanna try your big mod but is it work for dirty flash?

This rom is great but battery life is very bad and some games will force close after a while of playing.
