Timely Alarm Clock - BLU R1 HD Questions & Answers

Anyone using this on their Blu R1 HD? Is it crashing as well?
Sent from my BLU R1 HD using Tapatalk

I use it. No problems here..

I wonder what's making mine crash. I uninstalled then reinstalled app. Cleared data. Still crashes. ?

I have the same issue. Timely crashing upon launch.

After way too many hours of messing with this, I found the app works fine with the PRIME 6.6 update. Go figure.

Weird. I used it in 6.1 prime, the non-prime rom for a little while, then back to the Amazon rom for 6.6. Never once had it crash!

Are you using it with Prime or the non-Prime one? Mine's the Prime one converted to non-Prime. How did you upgrade to 6.6? Thanks
Edited to add: Oh, I saw it's Prime 6.6 guess I need to revert back to the Prime version.
Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk

Started with PRIME 6.1 - rooted and de-bloated, Timely did not work. I also tried with the converted PRIME to OEM - still no good. Then I went back to PRIME again, and safely took the 6.6 update again, re-rooted and de-bloadted - then it worked for some reason.

Been running non-PRIME un-rooted out-of-the-box since the day I got it and Timely does nothing but crash. Really sucks because it's the best alarm app I've found.

Seems like it shouldn't matter, but I did pay for the other themes a long time ago.

Do you mean Android 6.6? I only have 6.0 on my R1 HD, this is probably a dumb question but how can I update it? Does it have to be rooted because I'd rather not root.

6.6 is the latest version of the ROM and doesn't have anything to do with the Android version. Rooting really shouldn't matter either way.

they do, but youll never notice unless you look at your version number. the market updated itself in the background(eventually).
Can Market upgrade himself if I using custom ROM, or only on stock one?
Thanks!

So far I see the settings let you set pin for purchases. Also +1 button added to all apps. Anyone else sees anything else? Seems snapier too.

I see what you did there >:3
The old one was better ... it was simple and light ... this got installed by itself and it sucks ...
i don't know what happened but now most of the apps say that are not compatible with my device? i don't know exactly when this started. i have some updates via appbrain but can't do them?!?
Finally I got the new Market 3.1.3 on my Nexus S Stock ROM 2.3.4.
It updated by itself on 2011-08-31.
cheers

Thanks leez. Let me know if that worked truss.
Also to note, after I clicked install on dragon go it seemed like at least 10 minutes before my phone vibrated and said download complete. So give it a shot before trying again.

What about Gapps?
This is a very unique ROM. Going to add gapps later tonight and give her a spin this weekend. Question..... How do you get the volume settings to appear below quick toggle like in your pics. That's what sold me to try the ROM and I can not figure it out! Thanks
Sent from my xt926 using xda premium
Rom is beautiful. Flashed Gapps for 4.2.2 without any issue aside from a bit of lag on first boot. Only other issue I have noticed so far is Google Search says "Can't open microphone" if you try and use the mic icon. This also happens when trying to use Voice typing on the keyboard.
@timpohladthomas will u be updating the ROM to latest COS build with active notification for the mb886, xt925 and 926?

Some info before buying..

Amazon Italia is promoting his kindle fire hd 7 priced at € 99,00 so I'm interested in buying it.
But before I buy it I would ask you some questions..
1- Since I hate amazon os, will I be able to install 2nd bootloader mod (to install custom rom) on every os version? Because I read in this forum that latest os cause a bootloop.
2- When my tablet arrives, do you know which os version there is inside? And how can I avoid update to latest os?
3- Is this tablet fast and very usable with a cyanogenmod inside?
4 (last and stupid question)- is this the correct (moddable) tablet I should buy?:

The boot loop you referred to is only if you try to stay on the latest amazon os, but if that kindle is a kfhd, that looks like it's the 2013 model since I see no camera. If it's the 2012 model which I believe it is since there's a camera, then yes you can put custom ROMs on it. 2013 model we can't.
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire HD running CM10.1 Tablet UI using xda-developers app
But can I chose not to stay on latest os? Is it possible to do a downgrade if I receive latest os before trying to put custom rom?
In the photo I published it has a front camera on left side as you can see.
Inviato dal mio SM-N9005 utilizzando Tapatalk
Yes u can downgrade it. And my bad I noticed the camera after posting and I thought I corrected my post, but I was half asleep and I guess I didn't. That looks to be the 2012 model so yes fully rommable and yes you can downgrade the os.

Thanks @Tquetski for this nice rom. Also as a quick question why for most Chinese ROM use cm10 4.2.2 as a base

It's not easy to fork such specific mods to higher android revisions, often work begins on 4.2 when 4.3 is completed for example so the company chooses to use a lower base.
Like for example, only recently Lewa added 4.2 support It's better to look at the chinese firmware as sep. from CM/AOSP in a sense, as far as function goes
this rom is very fast, and yes, WiFi Tether do not work,I think this will be my daily use, thanks again
Good looking rom. It have some miui taste to it. But unfortunately is not for me due to tethering and kitkat floating around. Thanks for sharing though.
I tried it and it looks good, it's easy to set themes, feels smooth... But I had too many FCs. First of all with the Gapps (PA), then when using the camera, the gallery. I tried to keep the ROM but eventually I got stuck in a "Launcher stopped working" loop, so I couldn't do anything else. I had to uninstall it. But generally it's a good ROM, even if is 4.2.2, just need to fix those bugs. Also, there are some sections with chinese language only. For example, in the first boot, the first thing that you see is a chinese screen. I don't even know what I choosed, lol.
Thanks for sharing!
Great smooth rom. How do I get root access? Root is not enabled by default! Otherwise very nice. Thanks
