[APP][1.1] AutoMagisk - Auto-disable Magisk's root when certain apps are running - Magisk

AutoMagisk no longer works, as Magisk stopped supporting this method in v8
AutoMagisk
Automatically disable Magisk root when certain apps, such as Android Pay or Pokemon Go are running to bypass SafetyNet
Note: You MUST have Magisk installed, with an unmodified system and Phh's Superuser. This is very important, AutoMagisk will NOT work otherwise.
Confused on how to do this? See this Android Police guide
Note: Using android pay to pay only works from the screen off with the option enabled in AutoMagisk's settings to disable root when the screen is off. If you try to pay with the screen already on from an app which does not have root disabled, AutoMagisk will NOT disable root in time and you will get rejected.
AutoMagisk has the following features:
- Disable Magisk root when an app is launched and re-enable it when an app that's not also set to disable is launched (usually when the app is closed again)
- Disable Magisk root when the screen is locked (optional, enable in the settings), to probably allow Android Pay to work from the screen being off
- Ignore certain apps: Say you have Pokemon Go set to disable root, and you open Facebook's chat heads, with Pokemon Go behind it. Root will not be disabled, but if you open Messenger without Go being open in the background, root will not be disabled
- Notification when root is disabled (can be turned off in the settings), as a reminder
How does it achieve this?
- An AccessibilityService to monitor app launch
- A background service/broadcast receiver for the screen turning off (turning back on is handled when an app is launched)
Because it uses an AccessibilityService, you MUST enable it in settings. You will be prompted to do this when launching AutoMagisk.
Apps with root disabled by default:
Android Pay
Google Play Services
Pokemon Go
NatWest
NatWest Offshore
Isle of Man Bank
Ulster Bank
Apps ignored by default:
Twilight
Facebook Messenger
System UI

Works great thanks

Is there any way to add a way or function to hide the superuser app (I'm using phh.su) too? My cable provider is blocking live streaming for root users and the trigger is the su app.
I flashed nexus factory image and removed Magisk. Should be 100% stock. AT&T Uverse app still blocked live tv. I uninstalled the su app, and live tv worked. Re-installed app without root (as in only installed app, didn't flash any form of root) and live tv blocked again.
If this app isn't capable of doing this, any suggestions would be welcome, even of manual steps are required.

Love the app..working like a charm on Oneplus one. Kudos for the author!

Has anyone test this to see if its working with the modified systemless root version of xposed, or the normal xposed module?

Is there a way to make a donation to get rid of the ads?

Unfortunately not, as the app isn't on the Play Store and won't be because I believe it will get removed for TOS violation

It's very useful! Thank you

About to give this a Shot! Thanks for work!

Works perfectly after a reboot. Is the Magisk Manager still needed with this?

I read the tutorial on the Android Police website and from what I understand to make Magisk installation you must uninstall the Xposed and have the original cell recovery, I got it right?

Can anybody help me? I follow all the steps, but automagisk disables automatically in accesibility settings. I dont have twilight and in facebook messenger i have disabled facebook bubbles. I restarted my device also, gave to automagisk all the permissions (including authomatic boot).
Solution: Ok I found the problem, for those who suffered as me only have to allow automagisk as a protected app when the screen turns off

Working good and awesome job on Moto XT1563 Stock ROM with systemless root Magisk v6, I uninstalled the Magisk Manager after finding out how easy to use this app was instead of toggle on/off.
Thanks for a great job!

Sorry that this post is a bit OT but gk1984 has a bit of a special situation.... I will remove this post if requested.
@gk1984
If you've got a Nexus device (or any other device that supports Multirom), here's what you do.
1. Check out videos of Multirom on youtube and see if it's something that fits your needs (it works perfectly for me on a Nexus 6); if it does, then keep reading...
2. Wipe your phone, except for userdata, install a fresh copy of your stock System image, boot it once and set it up the way you like then Reboot to TWRP and make a full backup.
3. Root your phone and install the Multirom Manager app (this makes the rest very easy, it can all be done manually but this way is much easier) then use it to install a kernel with the kexec-hardboot-patch, Multirom Recovery, and Multirom itself.
***note: many custom kernels already have this patch included and you can use one of those instead. There will be a list in the thread for your device.
4. Reboot to Multirom Recovery, use the Multirom menu to add a Rom, choose from Backup and use the completely-stock backup you made earlier.
5. Reboot to System and choose your Rooted Main Rom or Unrooted Secondary Rom.
6. When you want to switch between Roms just reboot and select the one you want.

I added this to your spreadsheet already, but the Elan Credit Card app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elan.icsmobile.elanapp&hl=en works if I manually toggle root off in Magisk Manager, but not when it's selected in AutoMagisk. The APK is com.elan.icsmobile.elanapp-1.

Module Explanation:
A very simple module just to make Greenify work as a rom-integrated (privileged) app systemlessly (also known as Boost Mode), so you'll achieve the best hibernating performance it could give, and faster than using the root option only. Best part is that it doesn't need Xposed, so you'll stay with your beloved green SafetyNet check, since Xposed breaks it. It'll simply inject a folder with the apk into the path: /system/priv-app. If it shows Privileged at the app settings, then you're good. Read this for extra explanation.
* Note: You won't get any xposed-side features, since magisk is NOT xposed!
Requirements:
- Android 5.0 - 8.1.0
- Magisk v15.3+
Installation:
- This module already has the latest apk inside, just download one of zips from the mirror and install through the Magisk Manager app or TWRP. As simple as that. Or you can download and install directly through Magisk Manager "download" section.
---
Downloads:
The module is now available at the Magisk Manager "download" section (beta and stable apks), so you can download and install directly through there, or you can grab a copy on the mirror below.
---
Or
AFH Mirror
---
How to remove:
- Since v3.9.7-U you can simply flash the same zip again to remove the module, or you can remove through the Magisk Manager "modules" section as well.

Sorry, I don't want to be rude, but have you even read the entire OP? It says at the beggining that it's a module to get the greenify working as a previleged app which you was able to get by enabling the app at xposed (the root + boost mode) and rom-integrated, that's it and it's a greenify feature. It's not saying that you'll get any other xposed-side feature nor paid features... Please, read it properly. Thanks for the feedback btw.
Works fine for me at the moment, thanks! Will this module have to be updated every time a new version of Greenify is released?
thanks that's working

I get notificated every time a new release is out on apkmirror, so, yes I'll update it everytime a release is out. I requested topjohnwu on the repo central already to get the module into the magisk manager download section, so everytime an update is out you'll receive through the app, until there, I'll send it over here
oh lawd yaasss, lol.. I was sick and tired of copying and pasting greenify as a system app after a new flash ; My life will be easier.
Thanks! Can I still use my features that I got from donation package?

The main greenify app itself is totally free, you'll still get the extra paid features if you've bought the donation app package on the play store.

Greenify4Magisk
Introduction:
Do you remember the boost mode that you could enable by activating the greenify on xposed? If yes, and if you used to like that mode, and would like to achieve that without xposed and without trigger the safetynet, then this simple module is for you.
Quick Explanation:
A very simple module just to make Greenify work as a rom-integrated (privileged) app, to achieve the best hibernating performance it could give, without xposed and trigger the safetynet detection. It'll just add a folder with the apk into /system/priv-app.
Requirements:
- Android 4.4+ (This is Greenify's requirement)
- Magisk (MagiskSU/Magisk Manager MUST HAVE)
Download:

Changelog:
- Updated Greenify to 3.4.2
- Added Greenify 3.4.1
- Initial release with Greenify 3.4

Thanks for asking, it's not bad to ask things you don't know, but please don't quote the whole OP, thanks again
Lemme make a quick explanation (as the topic seems to not be clear enough for some), this module will put the greenify apk inside the /system/priv-app folder, and enable the greenify privileged feature called boost mode, and you can get this by simply adding the apk inside that folder manually as well, I've created this simple module to install it systemlessly and quickly.
I hope you got it now, and I appreciate your feedback. You can support Oasis Feng amazing work (greenify's developer) as well, by buying his donation package on play store, if you wish.
Cheers.

You must be doing something wrong fellow. Try again, see if your magisk version is the latest (v12), or uninstall any previous greenify app installed, if you have any. I just reinstalled here the zip and it installed with no issues so far as it should be.
See the attached pic.
Let me clear to everyone that you will not be able to use xposed features !! This is a module just to make greenify as privileged app without wasting time and breaking safetynet. Thanks to the developer !!
tested on OOS 4.1.3 on Oneplus 3t works beautifully thank you!
I thought, a logo / sample for an icon would be nice . Thanks for the time, buddy.

Are you able to to get to the Google Now panel by swiping right? The way I read the XDA article about this release of the launcher, as long as you are on a Pixel or Nexus device, root is not required (even though I have root) and it is not required to be installed as a system app.
Quote from the XDA article:
"All you have to do is download the Pixel Launcher that we uploaded below and install it onto your device. It doesn’t need to be installed onto the system partition (meaning it doesn’t need root), and if you already have the Pixel Launcher installed then it will just install right on top of it. Enjoy!"
I have tried installing the new launcher over the older one I had installed and doing a clean install of the the new .apk you referenced and the .apk referenced in the XDA article and I cannot get swipe to the right to take me to the Google Now panel. The calendar/weather widget is working fine so I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

Thanks for your response. Some additional research I did (which I won't bore everyone with for such a small issue) also seems to indicate that Google Now will work with the new Pixel Launcher without it being installed as a system app. If it ends up that it does need to be installed as a System app I'm going to switch back to Launcher3, which lets Google Now work without Launcher3 being installed as a System app, and it has some other nice features.

I saw that earlier, I really don't want to do a bunch of work arounds. If I get no other by the time I wake up tomorrow afternoon I'm going back to launcher3. It worked perfectly for me without modifications and I have it backed up with Titanium Backup so it's just I simple restore to get back to where I was. Thanks.
Seems to work out of the box with version 1.2. No work arounds required

Absolutely, Launcher3 version 2.1 works great but I have seen some decreased battery life using it. I like the new calendar/weather widget and the bottom search bar in the new Pixel launcher from the Pixel 2 so that is why I switched. Both of those work great after I installed the new Pixel launcher and my battery life increased quite dramatically, but I can't get swipe right to access the Google Now panel to work. From the XDA article here, the way I read it is if you have a Pixel or Nexus phone the .apk does not have to be installed as a system app for the Google Now panel to work:
"We should note that the Google Now panel will not work if you install the official version below on a non-Google Nexus or Pixel device as the Pixel Launcher needs to be installed as a system app in order for it to show the Google Now panel"
It indicates the same in the install instructions:
"It doesn’t need to be installed onto the system partition (meaning it doesn’t need root)"
There is a modded version that allows the Google Now panel to work on non Pixel and Nexus devises but I have a Nexus so I don't think I should need to use the modded version:
"Alternatively, you can install this modified version of the Google Pixel Launcher by XDA Senior Member paphonb. His version works on non-Google devices and allows you to use the Google Now panel"
Maybe I am just reading it incorrectly but it reads that the unmodified version will allow swipe right to access the Google Now panel.

I converted it to a system app using Titanium Backup and it doesn't appear to have affected the SafetyNet status. If Launcher3 is updated to include the calendar/weather widget and the bottom search bar I'll probably switch back as I like some of the other features it offers.

Wrong times in Now Cards
Hello everyone. The application is installed as a system. Everything works as well, except for the time of the sports cards. Shows my upcoming games with a wrong time zone, not my local time. This happens only on the preview of the football match itself (shows 2:45 PM). When clicking on the card with the additional information, the correct time is displayed (in this case 21:45). See attached images.
Where to search for the problem - in Pixel Launcher, in Google App, or my account? If it matters, I delete the data of both apps and set them up again without success ...
By returning an old version of Pixel Launcher this problem is gone.
What is the best way to get the Pixel bottom Navbar? I see a lot of screenshots with the Pixel Navbar. I'm running Pixel 2 Launcher, rooted.

Need Xposed Framework for Android 8.0 +? This is the all new and the best way!

Hello, guys
We all know Xposed framework is the best trick on Android, but it may not update for Android system until someday.
Of course, we can get Xposed though exposed or taichi, But there is another choice for you to get Xposed Framework, Maybe more than XP.
This is VMOS!!!
[Download From Google Play Store]
VMOS is an APP software based on Virtual Machine (VM) technology. It can be installed as a normal APP on the Android system which means you can run another complete Android system through VMOS.
And you can get all the control permission on this system! Root? Yes!
That means you can install Xposed Framework as you need No matter which Android system version running on your device.
How to get Root and XP
ROOT: Go to Setting - System Settings - About phone - click Version 5 time - Open developer options - Open root
Xposed Framework: Install Xposed installer 3.1.5, Then you will get Xposed Framework automatically.

More About VMOS GUIDE
Ok I installed the app
Overall the concept looks great
I noticed that it a bit slower than my actual device but i guess that is fine. There was no lag or anything. Just a slower feeling. Maybe the frame rate.
I was upset at first to see that it is only Android Lollipop but later i realized that is so it can be easily rooted.
Would still prefer an updated pre-rooted system. Maybe Oreo.
The built in browser crashed once but not again as of yet.
So far so good. Will suggest it to friends ofc
But the android version should be updated

As for android system updates, we have a plan for it.
We will have android from 4.0 to 9.0 or higher in the future.

Try install the framework using the Flashify. then reboot both the flashify and the vmos.
Kindly upgrade to oreo 8.0
Hello,
I have installed the VMOS in my Galaxy note 8 .it is very good, only problem is that it is still in Lollipop. Most of the Bank Applications are now upgraded above marshmallow, not compatible with Lollipop. So kindly upgrade at least to Oreo. also put facility for live wallpaper.
Thanking You drsaidalavi
At me in general ROOT does not join. In parametres of the developer of this button in general is not present. Help to solve a problem
Interesting... In the version from shop Google is not present parametre РУТ, and in the Chinese version is. But it is impossible to establish an account Google, there it simply is not present!!! Only one Chinese account.
Your device is an Android 12 system. You need to open the developer debugging permission and remove the process restrictions, otherwise it will not work normally. How do I do that? What is that setting called?

Android Auto Apps Downloader (AAAD) is an app for Android Phones that downloads popular Android Auto 3rd party apps and installs them in the correct way to have them in Android Auto.
For the first time in 3 years, now users with non-rooted Android devices can enjoy these apps made for Android Auto, and Android Auto Apps Downloader does it all for you. Simply select an app you want to install on your phone and the download will begin. Once completed, install the given app with the classic Android interface and you can start enjoying the app you’ve just installed for Android Auto.
No need for a PC.
Android Auto Apps Downloader can be easily installed on any Android phone and the whole installing process is just on the phone.
No need for developer options.
There’s this common misconception that enabling “unknown sources” or “disable ANR” make those apps work. I don’t know who started this, but it’s totally irrelevant. Debug USB? No need for that either.
No need of grabbing APK and do manual installations.
Android Auto Apps Downloader will always download the latest version of the software for you!
No root needed.
The main goal of this app is having the listed apps in Android Auto with a pain free experience and, most of all, without requiring a rooted phone. If you are rooted, you might want to consider AA AIO TWEAKER, which has an alternative root method to patch the apps and it has a lot of other cool features!
Android Auto Apps Downloader is free and can be downloaded from GitHub. Offers in app purchase. The free version of the app allows up to 1 download every 30 days. With the PRO version you can enjoy the full experience and download as many times as you want, forever!
PRE-REQUISITES:
Android 6.0+ phone
That's it!
Download From GitHub (source code will be live soon!)
F.A.Q.
Why the heck do I need this app? Can’t I just install the apps by myslef?
Well yes, you could, but they would not appear in Android Auto. Since the beginning of 2018 the custom apps for Android Auto are blocked by Google, but AAAD installs them in a special way in order to actually see the apps on Android Auto. And no root is needed! Call it magic, if you will.
I have a warning from Google Play Protect warning me about your app! Is this app a malware?
Of course AAAD it’s not a malware. Google Play Store does not like apps that install other apps and apps that have IAP (in app purchases) not managed by Google. You can see yourself that this app basically doesn’t require special permissions. Also, I’m planning on releasing the source code soon!
Why only those apps? Where is YouTube? Where is Netflix? Where is Instagram?
Not all apps are compatible with Android Auto. You can’t just pick an app and sledge hammer it into Android Auto. I’ve included basically almost every Android Auto app known to date, and the only responsibility of AAAD is to make them available in Android Auto.
How do I update the apps installed from AAAD?
AAAD will always download latest version of an app. If one of the apps that you've installed through AAAD gets an update, you can open AAAD and download the update. At the moment, there's no update checker, but I'm planning on making it!
Will you hold my bank account/credit card informations?
Of course no. The offered in app purchase is solely processed by PayPal and none of the informations are held or shared with me.
Will this app be available on the Play Store?
No.
I have a problem with an app installed by AAAD. Coyld you help me out?
Any software installed by my app is provided "as is" and I'm not responsible for any malfunctioning. If you are in this case, please seek help from the software's author instead.
I have a problem with this app. Could you help me out?
Write an email to [email protected]
Sir how do I download this app????
If you are on mobile, you likely will have a little dropdown menu named "Assets", from there you can see the package (APK) to install the app. Download and install. If you are on a PC, you might see the "Assets" menu already collapsed and from there you can see the APK.
you are a genius my friend Congratulations
Congrats!!
I have bought the application and now it is always in this window Loading
This is the issue I am having
Awesome!
No need to find the APK somewhere, no need for root, no need for crazy ADB-hacks.
This makes it all a whole lot easier. Thanks!
Same issue here, purchesed and now the app is stuck in loading...
Yo tras instalar app AAAD y Carstream no me aparece en Android auto. ¿Qué puede ser?
After installing the AAAD app and Carstream it does not appear in Android auto. What can be?
I've paid for the pro version, i've wrote 3 email to unlock the pro version, because it doesn't unlock and nothing answer me!!!
Fantastic idea !!
Can I suggest something?
Change to Carstrean 2.04, as you have the option to access your phone's sdcard.
Carstrean 2.04 has the option to access the sdcard, the carstran 2.05 does not have the option of accessing the sdcard.
If you have the option to replace the carstrean in the app, it would be a big change !!
I appreciate and make use of your apps,
Pro version, the price? Or buy? Thank you
Version Pro, le prix? Où acheter? Merci
I installed AAAD and then downloaded Screen2Auto using AAAD, and then installed Screen2Auto.
However, Screen2Auto does not show as an available app in AA.
I tried rebooting my Galaxy S7 (Android 8.0) but still no Screen2Auto in AA (version (6.3.611324).
One thing, Screen2Auto had a toggle for root access during installation and I toggled it to yes. Should I have left it at no?

guys can you add an option to complete donation process via cryptocurrencies ? ( LTC , or even usdt transfer will be a good option ) i cant use paypal to send money.
Hey guys!
The launch went TOO well to the point the server has had some major technical difficulties.
This day has gone incredibly well and the reaction from you was INCREDIBLE!
I've just finished replying to each and every email has come to [email protected] and I'm now about to reply to everyone else that contacted me in any other way.
I've provided to manually activate PRO version for a lot of people that payed for it and I'm SO SORRY if I've make you wait for some hours.
I've also provided to manually provide a new free download for who had troubles with it.
Whoever is still in these situations, please, open AAAD, select "about" from top menu, make a screenshot and send it to [email protected]
AAAD had an enormous success and you deserve to get everything back!
@cptANGRIST I think you've already sent me an email and replied you there.

App detects Xposed, refuses to start. Even when cloaked

I have the following annoying issue I want to solve:
It is so annoying that everytime I wish to use the app "App Cloner", I have to disable Xposed, reboot, then the app starts.
If Xposed is active, the app starts and then closes itself, giving the following message: Please deactivate Xposed while using the app.

I tried some modules to make the app not see that Xposed is on, but it didn't work. Can anyone help? Anyone knows how to make the app "App Cloner" run and not detect that Xposed is active?
These cloak and hide modules I already tried, but the app still detects Xposed...
-I tried this https://github.com/sanfengAndroid/FakeXposed
-I tried ANRC https://repo.xposed.info/module/cat.dcat.roothide
-I tried RootCloak https://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak2
-I tried SudoHide https://repo.xposed.info/module/com.sudocode.sudohide
using Android 8 Oreo, Xposed Installer with Xposed framework version 90-beta3
The app i want to run. but can't because I don't want to deactive xposed, is called App Cloner 2.12.5 (google banned them from playstore but their app is still elsewhere https://appcloner.app/)
Would be very happy if anyone could help.
Thank you in advance
Edit:
I just want to know out of principle, how the app knows. What does it check? What does it look for?
Is there an easy way to find out?
I know I could just use the new Xposed thats systemless like magisk. But I want to know how it actually knew.
The app is pretty good in detection, it even detects LuckyPatcher (don't know how), even after you hide it. It demands you uninstall it. Is there an easy way to bypass?
Edit: I don't expect an answer, I guess this is more of an reverse engineering questions that's too advanced for me anyway
I'd like to know as well. I've bought the license for the app and it's very inconvenient having to disable Xposed and reboot to use it normally and reboot again to use my phone with Xposed.
The old version used to work fine but it has now been expired.
hi bro
It's very simple
1.open xposed menu / open xposed hide (black) then Find and mark app cloner
2.open lucky patcher menu / open exposed setting and mark all and enable exposed module.
3.restart phone END
The most efficient way is to complie xposed source code and change some string names
Use momo, try to hide root and xposed from it, if you succeed, app cloner shouldn't detect anything.
You can download it from here

Thank you but I already use Momo and I don't think it's possible to fully hide Xposed from it if Xposed is still enabled (AFAIK ART parameters are abnormal)

I had the same problem with lsposed, I solved it by going to data/adb/modules/lsposed and open system.prop using text editor and add # before the first line. Save the file and reboot then check exposed.
Lsposed shows me system prop incorrect but everything works normally and momo doesn't detect it anymore.

I had heard about that method as well though I haven't tried it yet with App Cloner. I was afraid it would cause unseen problems.

I just tried but it still doesn't work with App Cloner. However, my Momo still doesn't show clean results though. Just the ART parameters... is removed now (see attached screenshot).
Can you help?

I didn't have any of these two problems, could it be that you're using a custom rom? For the traces, I had the twrp/magisk files trace, I just changed the name of the twrp folder and it was solved. Anyway, if I find anything regarding the two problems you have under "details" I'll let you know.

Thank you very much for your help as I've been also searching for the solution. For the partition mounted abnormally I've read somewhere it's because of unlocked bootloader though I haven't verified it as I need to stay unlocked.
By the way, I have magisk and lsposed. I downloaded app cloner, went to magisk and hid it in the configure denylist with
"Enforce denylist" disabled
I have the shamiko module activated
My magisk app is hidden
The way lsposed works is that it is only injected in the app you select, so if xposed is applied on all apps, that means all the apps can know if xposed is installed. Make sure to configure that in xposed settings. I've read there's an option called globally or something like that, so disable it if it's there if possible or just switch to lsposed
App cloner works fine for me

Turns out I've enabled App Cloner in one of my LSPosed module (Minminguard). I've disabled it now and it's working.

Yep! And it even still works when LSPosed system.prop is restored.
I am currently trying to get a banking app to work, "VR SecureGo Plus". There is also "VR SecureGo", but my bank wants to switch to the new Plus version...
So I have Magisk 24.3, LSPosed 1.8.0, MicroG and FakeGApps as well as Shamiko and Hide My Applist. The Applist Detector shows that nothing can be found - except the LSPosed modules, and specifically the HMA one.
As I got everything working as it should, all I want to do is hide the XPosed modules from the app (both Applist Detector to verify and VR SecureGo Plus to actually use it).
Any idea? Been trying to figure this out for hours now and I have run into several walls - both in terms of finding just about nothing and in terms of text; Google Translate doesn't seem to like Taiwanese a lot :/
Thank you in advance and kind regards,
Ingwie

So in a short term xposed can't be hidden from apps enabled in xposed modules.
I wish there is a way to solve this..

Maybe it checks for root?
For my banking app I used:
Magisk Hide
Sudo Hide
Root Cloak
I enabled it on all just to be sure.
*Edit: Sorry my fault, you are already using Shamiko to hide root.
