Dash charge also works with a USB3 extention cable - OnePlus 3 Accessories

I just tested this, thought you folks should know.
More technical info/discussion here (dutch, so maybe you should use google translate)
- edit -
Tested it again, and I was wrong.
The OP3 "thinks" Dash charge is working, blue led etc. But actually it is not..
Excuse for the misinformation

tldr please

How can an extention give dash charge? From my experience in my previous phones, extentions made my phone charge slower

extension cables may show "dash charge" (likely due to OOS bug) but won't actually charge at 3.5A like the standard dash charging setup would

Charging Incipio Moto Mod

There are two versions of the Incipio offGRID Power Pack Moto Mod. One with and one without wireless charging. I know the one without wireless charging must be charged attached to the phone. Can the wireless version be charged separately, or also only when on the phone?
From what little tests I did it needs to be on the phone. With the wireless charger I have it doesn't work if I just put it on the charger.
Been unable to recharge this mod on its own is its only really downside.

It recharges just fine wirelessly and by it self.

My bad, I just realised I have the mod without wireless charging (although I supposedly bought the one with it, I've got a store to go back to ^^').
Sorry for the misinformation!

Charging disconnects when adding a QI wireless charging module

I just bought a QI Wireless charging module like the one below, but a no-name version.

When I connect it, put the phone on the QI enabled charger the phone starts charging but disconnects after around 10 seconds. As you can see on the video (link below), the charging starts again after a couple of seconds and then disconnects again. I have tried to make it work with several different QI chargers, but the same thing happens.
Has anyone got wireless charging to work with XZ1 Compact together with a module? If so, maybe the QI module I bought is not good enough?
Any tips?

After searching some more, I find that others have the same issue with Sony phones, https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-XZ-Premium/Wireless-charging/td-p/1238406.
I found a possible solution in this thread, a receiver that is supposed to work, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0713ST47Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I have ordered one and will update this thread with the outcome.
*Edit*
I got the receiver, and it works flawlessly!
Can you send link of wireless charger works flawlessly for xperia xz1. Also which wireless charger dock do you use (15 watts, 10 watts, etc.)? Thanks

I really think this is a must, specially the charger.
And you, still on OEM charger?
Yes.
I have the original, tronsmart and aukey. Both tronsmart and aukey can almost reach the maximum QC 3.0 power (18W) when charging from 0%. My USB doctor shows 5.7-5.9V @ 3.0-3.1A (at least for the first few percents).
Yes....but this one can kick 2 port, and quiete probably better line stability, with less noise....
Just saying the electronics inside are more stronger....and except my Oppo with VOOC, i never used original chargers....they look too week or basic...

Some people like those Qi add-ons. In any case, they're best when they don't charge too fast; you don't want to generate too much heat - the enemy of long battery life!
Make sure your case is a tight fit, as you want as little space in between charger and phone as possible.

Charging port is overheated. Issue with the charger.

Hello. I have an issue with the charging port since yesterday. I was in ROM RR and I wanted to charge my phone when i realize that the quick charging was not working and the charging time was super super slow. So I tried with different chargers but the same, and also I wiped and installed ROM Miui EU, thinking that it may be a software error; but no. Also I have cleaned the port with different thin objects and air, and I didn't have any solution.
In the Miui EU ROM I have the warning (warning of the photo) and the charging is as always very very slow, but if I charge the phone in recovery mode, I can charge the phone normally. So, I don't know what the problem might be, because I am able to charge the phone perfect in recovery mode but no in normal boot or when is off.
What can I do?

I advise you NOT to charge your device in recovery because there is no software protection. The slow charging is not an issue but a measure to prevent damage from overheating.
You should try with different cable/charger/power supply and clean better the charging port. If it doesn't work you may need to replace the pcb (search: mi 8 se charging port or dock connector)
