Okay so i had rooted my phone using Iroot and I wanted to unroot my device so I can give it to my brother so he can use it for his new phone he has a different company though and wanted to see if he could switch I tried unrooting it but it just wouldn't work and next thing I know my brother factory data resets it without un rooting and now it's stuck on the Samsung s6 screen it won't let me go on recovery but it will let me on odin/download mode is there a way I can fix this.

Yep, go to Sammobile .com or samsung-updates .com and enter your model number to find the stock firmware, download it then flash it in Odin.

What is the model number? If it shows the firmware you can download it, you just aren't doing something right. Sometimes antivirus blocks downloads.

If you can't connect to PC or boot to any modes then you're not gonna be able to flash it. You're device isn't completely dead though, a JTAG might work. Also, flashing via Odin might work whether USB debugging was checked or not, when the system is corrupted bad enough, that doesn't matter because there is nothing there to tell it that it is blocked from flashing.
The debrick from sdcard method for S3 linked below might work for the S6.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2660566
If you can find someone with the exact same model device that has theirs rooted, you can get them to pull a debrick.img from the device then you can use that debrick.img to create a bootable SDcard to boot the device from it. Then you can restore the device.
You need to understand that the S3 and the S6 are partitioned differently so everywhere in those instructions for S3, when it mentions a file or partition or partition location(mmcblk0), you will have to ignore what it says for the S3 and research your device to make sure that you are using the correct files, partitions and partition locations for the S6 and not the S3. This method may or may not work. You need to find some of the experienced S6 members that might understand this method enough to adapt it to your S6.

In the S6 forum here, start reading through threads that have recently been posted, or other threads where there are guides to unbrick or restore to stock, I'm sure you're smart enough to figure who there is well experienced by how/what members there are posting. The fix for problems aren't always as simple as saying "here's some links, here's some files", sometimes it takes hours/days/weeks of reading to find what you need. Get to looking on the S6 forum for experienced members, reply to their posts in threads to ask them about what you want to know, send them a PM to ask them. I'm trying to help you but I've reached the end of what I know that will help you. Its up to you find what you need, I'm just telling you where to look.

[Q] HELP HELP !!!! Looking Odin upgradable firmware

Hello all,
Bought a galaxy tab. And flashed it. With bad firmware.
I can set TAB in download mode.
So with ODIN I should be able to flash.
Can someone PLEASE!!!!?????? link me or tell me where to find A FULL EURO rom or P1000 compatible rom. That can be flashed with ODIN
Try latest Roto ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939360, its okay for Euro Tab...
make a accout here, and you can choise the official firmware.
Samfirmware
Did that flashed and TAB boots and hangs at the SAMSUNG logo.
edit : DId a full whipe did not resolve hanging at the SAMSUNG logo
Used Jk5 with that. Downing Jk2 now.

Why would u recommend this? Don't u know that they have locked bootloaders? People who don't understand stuff shouldn't be trying to help. Now he's gonna need to use the bootloader fix which has risks.

Only if he flashes one of the JMx series.
Flash the Rotohammer JMI firmware, it's a _complete_ firmware with the locked bootloader removed. If it doesn't work then you've either done something wrong (start again, read instructions carefully), or you've got a locked bootloader.
If you've already tried flashing a JMx firmware and are now having issues then you'll need to go back to whatever original firmware you had and then run the bootloader fix, which as long as you pay attention to the instructions is unlikely to be an issue, get it wrong however and you've got problems.
Also - this is not a development related question, should be in the general subforum.
TAB Dead
Tab is 3 days old and dead.
No recovery mode,
No Download mode,
only a blinking logo (screen of and on) that looks similar to the downloading logo when in flash mode when wall charger is attached.
No live indication or responsive s.
Indicates this a RMA to samsung service center.
Never had A flash or root problem of this kind before.
just the on of screen. If in wrong Category I hope some Admin might want to move it to the correct position.

If it won't even get into download mode then there's nothing you can do to fix it, you'll have to take it back to the shop. Any fixes require being able to boot into download or recovery mode.

Perhaps you mean the logo is phone at the left, middle is ! pc at the right, it's also a download mode, which you can flash thru odin, just flash with roto's rom, and do a repartition.
Basically if odin still able to detect your tab, it's not totally dead yet, if your tab's display is like what I mentioned above, just get roto's rom, AND MAKE SURE CHECKSUM IS CORRECT! Before flashing.

Hard bricked my phone...

I wasn't paying attention and I messed up. I was planning on flashing AllianceROM to the latest version, and without thinking I downloaded the zip file and started to flash. In the middle of the process, my phone shut off suddenly, and now it won't even turn on. I plug it in and the computer doesn't register anything.
I realized that I flashed it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lliancerom-v9-available-changelog-op-t2037363, which is for the Galaxy S2.
Have I completely messed up? Is this phone basically irreparable? I can't go into safe mode or anything like that. And I've obviously voided the warranty...
If you can't get into Odin mode or Recovery, then yes, unfortunately you bricked it.

Would it be "fixed" if I got the motherboard replaced? How about jtagging or usb jig?
I should still be under warranty but Samsung says I need proof of purchase even though they know the purchase date. I seem to have misplaced the receipt and it's making me want to tear my hair out because they're basically avoiding having to help me. (I understand this was my fault but they're blatantly saying I have no warranty.)
Probably need a new motherboard. If you can't get it to power up at all.

How much would it cost me to get a new one, and where could I get one?
Or would it be cheaper to make an appointment at SoHo Samsung Studio and have them repair it for me?
Don't know, personally I'd try and find a busted s5 on eBay. One with a broken screen and clean IMEI

It can be done for the g900a you just gotta find a debrick image. There was one in this thread but not sure if it's still active or not.

Not sure about the computer....i think it usually shows QHUSB_BULK when hard bricked...again not sure though.
If it's not powering on with a properly flashed debrick SD card then your probably going to need jtag or new board.

Try flashing stock rom from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com
You may need to become a member(it's free) to download. Once you download the rom for your region and device, unzip the file and flash the .tar.md5 file in odin

EMMC Brick Bug takes another phone down. Unfortunately the EMMC is dead. You can try and take it to a specialized repair shop and have the EMMC replaced. But it would probably be very expensive. Download mode works because the SoC actually boots for download mode, EMMC is not accessed. Nand erase all is useless in this case, and Kies doesn't know what to do.

It will work normally, but make sure to take an i9300 motherboard for the normal S3 and an i9305 motherboard for the i9305. And also make sure to not damage anything. And not loose any screw (lost one already and regret it).
The IMEI will be different (if you have the box) but other than that, make sure the motherboard is tested, works 100% and doesn't have any problem.
Don't forget to push the tanks button just in case

Very tricky, may not work and it could possibly blacklist both the IMEIs. Generally, IMEI copying is done using specialized programmes, but it is not generally both allowed, practical and in some parts, or global, ILLEGAL.

yea 4 different times even taking the battery out before trying and holding it for over half a minute, nothing.
Well, the next thing I would try is pull the battery, plug in the usb to a pc and try the three button hold again.
i did that too, my computer would just tell me it couldn't recognize the usb device.

yup they were the first thing i went to install since i was following a guide, in fact it's still in my computer i just checked.
Have you tried reinstalling the Samsung drivers?
Do that first. Uninstall the Samsung drivers. Then reinstall. Plug in phone. Then open Odin and try and flash.
Unless you messed with the boot loaders it should flash. The fact that windows recognizes that something is plugged in means it reads something on the phone. So it's not completely bricked.
it only detects something is there when i pull the battery out and put it back in and then plug it but if i unplug and replug it, it won't read anything anymore but i'll give it a try thanks.
Worst case scenario you've got a hardbrick and will need to JTAG into the device and force the firmware onto it.

At this point I'd say all you can do is take it to your local Best Buy and ask them to flash NCE on it. If you try to flash NCE on a UCU2 by yourself it'll fail the qfuse check.

Galaxy Note 8 won't recognize sim card

Hello Friends,
So I have quite the problem here. I recently tried to root my new Galaxy Note 8 sm-n9500 128gb. Apparently something went wrong and the root didn't work.
Not only that but since then my Phone wont recognize my sim card anymore and can't use mobile data because of that. It also shows no more IMEI.
I looked for guides how to fix that but coulnd't find any. So I started from the beginning with unlocking the bootloader trough BlueEffects Guide. After that installed TWRP and then magisk. TWRP will install but then the phone crashes and goes into a bootloop. I can hard reset and then it works again, tho TWRP seems to be unable to flash anything. I tried also SuperSu next to magisk but nothing works. If i understand correctly if i would succeed rooting the phone, I can just flash a new modem on the phone, or the EFS Folder and it should work again. Or also use some Apps with root rights to get the IMEI back?
I would appriciate anything that could help me restore my phone.
Thank you so much.
Regards Patrice

I think you may have to take your phone to a service centre.
Seeing as you have erased the IMEI number from your device you would have to reflash back onto the BIOS

If i understand it correctly that shouldn't be too hard to do by myself if the phone was rooted. The problem is that I can't get the phone rooted. I tried with BlueEffect's guide but it didn't work.
Now i have the problem that I can't seem to get Odin to do anything. No matter what I try to flash it always fails instantly after "connection setup". It worked before tho, so I really don't know what the problem is.
