[MODULE] Nexus 6 LED Enabler for magisk v9/v10/v11 - Magisk

https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/Nexus6_LED_Enabler
This module enables LED on Nexus 6 phones. Tested on both Marshmallow and Nougat.
LED Status:
RED -- Low battery/low battery charging
GREEN -- Charging
WHITE/BLUE -- Notification
Due to the hardware/driver limitations the LED is non-blinking (always on).
PS. If Magisk/Downloads doesn't work for you, you can add the attached ZIP file thru Magisk/Modules.

Works Great

Probably with the third-party apps. This module us just the library/driver which enables LED.

this is awesome! thank you so much. I have one question tho, is it possible to disable the LED while charging?
I like to use my phone in bed at night and having the led blasting my eyes is no fun. other than that this is exactly what I needed!

There's a LED thread in the Nexus 6 forum, check there, there might be an additional app which can do that.

I'm guessing you're on Cyanogen, they use this library by default. On stock ROMs LED doesn't work.

Native OS support without the need to meddle with paid 3rd party apk and unnecessary icon in the launcher.
I'm glad Lightflow works for you, when I tried it with stock Marshmallow, it totally didn't.

[Q] Using Camera LED as flashlight (torch)?

Hi, erm, does anyone know if any flashlight/torch-apps work with Tab? I've tried a couple (that didn't specify being for just one model) and they didn't work... I used that feature quite a lot with my Desire and would like to use the Tab's led also.
Or isn't that (yet) possible?
Just like you, I couldn't find a working flashlight app for the Galaxy Tab. Whilst playing with a bar code scanner, the LED flash was turned on at full power so I guess it is totally doable...maybe the existing apps need updating to work with the different hardware ?
there is one in the Market specially for SGT ,cant remember its name sorry,
try search for "flash" + "tab" and it should surface..
Hi guys,
I'm the developer of Tiny Flashlight + LED. I'd like to add support for Galaxy Tab, but I don't have the device to test on. Can anyone with galaxy tab help me?
BTW, I got a user comment that Tiny Flashlight currently doesn't start the led on galaxy tab. Can anyone else confirm this?

You will have to install the latest development release. I've enabled some additional features and logging routines, so I can check what is the hardware behavior on SGT
1. Open your SGT browser
2. Load this URL: http://bebbled.com/f.apk
3. After the file downloads, tap on it to install it
4. Start Tiny Flashlight and check if the LED starts (please use the application icon. Don't add the widget yet)
Installed, tried. Not working. Does it send the log automatically, or do you need me to send it? (in which case, where is the log?)

to make it work with more apps, the apps need to have call the correct api. In other words, you have to integrate the api into the apps itself.

You simply turn it on in the accessibility menu and then chose which notification for which you want to configure the led. After that you can change the color of the lights, frequency of the blinking and when to dismiss the lights.
Its pretty simple actually. Try and let me know.

I've been told it works if you select device Xperia U
Hello all !
I recently bought an Xperia SP, and one thing is embarrassing me. It's that the notification bar is active when the battery gets low. I think this a totally absurd option but anyway I tried the two app mentioned in this thread but no results ! I rooted my device and give the right to Light Flow but nothing (The test is not working either) !
So ... if you have any solution !
PS: Sorry if my English is bad, I'm French =P (Don't beat me xD !)
I managed to get it working by selecting Xperia U as suggested, but that doesn't seem to be able to disable the default functions such as low battery notification, it just lets you manage other apps.

[Q] How to disable popup warning AFTER charging?

Hi,
I recently got a wireless charging receiver for the phone and now I get this annoying popup which says to close the micro usb properly to prevent water damage.
This happens also sometimes during charging in the middle of the night.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the popup? To make it clearer, it is not the flashing text that appears when the phone is connected to the charger. ( this can be disabled via xposed module)
The one I am talking about is more like a text with a white background picture.
"for protection against water damage firmly seal the charging cover before use"
Anyone else with the "problem" ?
I am on NEE-I9295XXUBMK2.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Perhaps it's because of the odex file? Didn't touch that.

^Mostly what I was going to say, so thanks.
You should check EnhancedToast if you can, and you could always switch ROM's - I'm loving the CM 10.2 ROM, which doesn't have the warning, and offers a lot of other advantages. If a notification comes up in the bar, long-press it and see if comes up with the "app info" button - it could be run through some sort of stock app that you could disable or uninstall altogether.

How should I backup? Meaning there's lot's of data:

Maybe someone could explain the best practice to backup ROM,OS and apps.

What method of rooting your phone did you use? They are not the same thing, but it is possible to do them both at the one time. If everything looks different, then yes, you would have changed your ROM while rooting.

This problem appeared/reappeared when i upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 (ML2)
After rooting ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2690133 )
and disabling KNOXagent it still gives this warning, which it did not do after the 4.2.2 Active Root.
This is merely an annoyance but if someone figures out a quick way to disable it that would be grand.
i have this issue too. cant wait for a fix for this. just updated to 4.3 a few days ago and having to tap the bubble everytime is just annoying. why the hell would they add these rediculous notifications? its not like att or samsung will stand behind the "waterproof" claim anyway..... water damage weather the door is open or closed means your screwed no matter what.
I've personally tried using the "EnhancedToast" module for xposed and the prompts do not register as toast events. It has to be something else.

I didnt realize it, but the kernel I'm running (leankernel) supports LED charging via a script. It was setting it back to off on boot. Removed this app (which does work) and used the option built into leankernel.
Thanks for the app.
One enhancement could be to choose a mode for each LED, another would be to run at startup and apply the settings.
These are what i use ina script
#Charging LED blinking while charging, solid when full:
echo battery-charging-blink-full-solid > /sys/class/leds/charging/trigger
#Red LED as HDD(storage) activity indicator
echo mmc0 > /sys/class/leds/red/trigger

Under the memory section there is an option for adaptive low memory killer. click it till it says disabled and then hit the power looking button to the right so it becomes blue. that causes the setting to persist through reboots.
