Its v2

Yes this is BL2 (I updated the op) to reflect this. I will be uploading PI2 in a few minutes which will be BL4 and not-rootable or downgradeable!
Edit: PI2 is rootable

Hello. How can I determine my currently installed bootloader version to know if its v2 or v4 (so that I can determine if this will flash)?
Thanks,
Ryan

Its downloading as .rar not .tar
I downloaded the files, but when i try and put them in odin they're nowhere to be found.. It downloaded as a .rar file when its supposed to be .tar. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. I just bought a SM-G935A. If the phone is already updated to the latest sw/fw, will using this rom and odin roll it back to the version posted? Thanks.

No. The most up to date firmware has updated the bootloader to version 4. This firmware is bootloader version 2. You can flash firmwares as long as they are on the same BL version, but you cannot downgrade to a lower BL.

[Q] Temporary Unroot/Latest Update

Hey guys,
quick question. I rooted the note 4 on firmware version (NIH) and now I want to have the latest firmware (NJ7).
I'm downloading the latest firmware from samsung (NJ7) and I wanted to know if anyone knows this:
IF I flash the latest firmware NJ7 over my rooted NIH via ODIN, would that be bad? I know you're not supposed to take OTA updates while rooted, so I guess I'm asking if flashing in ODIN with full latest firmware (1.6gigs) is the same as taking the OTA update (65ish MBs).
I know that chainfire superSU also has temporary unroot option, which might work to just take the OTA update...right?
OR I can reflash the NJ7 firmware, take the OTA, reroot, and then reload app/data via Titanium....
I guess I'm wondering what I should do.
Thanks in advance!
actually I got it to work.
all I did was unroot via SuperSU and installed the update via KEIS.
Just make sure you're unrooted and update through KEIS. After KEIS is done, it'll tell you to restart and unplug/replug the cable but for me KEIS stopped working, but my phone was already upgraded. So I just force closed the program on my phone.
theres actually a update out for it and can be done via odin

Restore CSC with Odin?

I was rooted on AOE, but decided to Odin back to stock to update to AO2. The update downloads, but fails to install at 25%.
The phone works fine, and data works, but would like to update. I used an app called Phone Info *Samsung* to find that in the CSC part, Firmware's CSC Code, CSC Country and CSC Country ISO is empty. The other fields do have something in them.
Can I just Odin the CSC_ATT tar.md5 file via the CSC box? or are there settings or anything that I might need to change before I can do that?
Thank you in advance!
Download the stock firmware for your device and flash all 4 files that you will find inside that file all at once.
BTW if your S6 is from AT&T the versions are NOT AOE nor AO2. They are OCE and OE2.

Yes, those are my versions, sorry about the confusion!
Can I flash all 4 without the risk of tripping Knox? I'm concerned about flashing the bootloader in particular.
Thanks again for your help.
Flash all 4 files at once, not individually. Bootloader is locked so no flashing for it.

Can u please link the files u used to root the tablet on lollipop. Thank u.
So, if I understand you correctly the linked file is the CF Auto-root for a T807t on the latest T-Mobile 5.02? This is great if this is the case. I was beginning to lose hope.

Thank you for being quick. I upgraded to Nougat and then tried to root and my phone stuck in recovery mode boot loop. I was able to downgrade to 6.0.1 with odin md5 file. This will help get back to Nougat and attempt to root again.
What version of odin did you use and where did you get these files from?

70 downloads and only 5 thanks seems a little unreasonable for the first Odin 7.0 files.
I have an att branded S7 Edge with 935u FW on 6.0.1. Flashing these files will update me to Nougat correct? Also what version of Odin should I use to flash? TIA!

Oh how I wish I had this when I softbricked my device last weekend, had to flash the tmo firmware over the non booting at&t firmware
flashed this a couple of days ago and so far everything is great.
when I unzzipped the files, I see 4 zip files ending with .tar, they just need to be placed in odin to flash, correct? Or do I need to rename them to .md5

No need to rename. When you open Odin you'll add the files to Odin using the buttons (BL,AP,CP,CSC) AP will take a while, be patient. After all added, hit start and sit back

This worked for my phone but now im getting an error with my recovery menu saying it doesn't exist. I saw an earlier post with the same problem.
I bought this phone used and now its saying that i am not the original account signed in to the phone. I took it to the 2nd hand shop i bought it from and they want to charge me money to fix the problem when i remember signing in first thing to the phone. Im not to savi with these things but did installing this firmware change my user data?
