Is it possible to get rid of the warning at boot after bootloader unlock? - Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro Questions & Answers

That 5-second delay is driving me crazy

As the reply to my post here suggests: http://zukfans.eu/community/threads/did-you-relock-and-break-your-phone.1530/
it is not possible.

[Q] Captivate won't unlock after boot

Hey XDA'ers. I need your help. I just bought a Captivate today from someone, and I realized (once I got home) that the phone would never let me advance from the "slide up to unlock" screen. I tried everything, and it won't unlock. The only way to actually get into the phone is by rebooting it and swiping up (like to unlock it normally) as soon as you can. If you lock and attempt to unlock it after that, it does nothing.
I unrooted the phone, did a soft factory reset (retaining 2.2 Froyo), a hard factory reset, and even did an Odin3 reset (back to 2.1), to no avail.
Is there anything I can do, or is this phone beyond help?
Thanks!
You should not longer have a "slide up to unlock" if you oden-ed back to stock AT&T 2.1. Stock 2.1 only had one unlock screen and it was the sliding glass. Or, is this what you had and it still wouldn't unlock?
Sent from my Cappy.
Yeah, it's the standard "sliding glass to unlock" screen.
I just rememebered that a similar thing happens when I am done with a phone call. It takes a good 10-15 seconds for my phone to register that yes, I am done with the phone call, and yes, I should be allowed to select "end call" after I'm done.
Anyway, it's all very frustrating having a phone that is usable only after a reboot (the slide to unlock screen actually does unlock only at this point.) Any ideas?
Any help here? http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/screen-lock-suppressor_mqhk.html

This is more of a workaround as opposed to a fix, but if it works, then our friend here won't have to reboot every time the phone locks.
Just curious, did your seller say anything about the phone doing this?

Well, I was able to just exchange the phone at an AT&T help center for free, without any problems.
And the guy I bought it from said that it had "no hardware issues." And what a lie that was. He wouldn't even answer my phone calls after I figured out that it didn't work. BUT, it all worked out for the best.

Re-locking bootloader?

Any way to relock the bootloader? Im seriously aggravated with the ugly message when my phone turns on and says the device cant be trusted..
Thanks
Update.. SO I did some research and found some very interesting info about the bootloader bull**** that is going on with Android.
read about it here.
This means good bye to un locking bootloaders... Mine is unlocked and because of android/google my dam phone keeps showing an aggravating massage when i turn it on that its not trusted... Im pretty sure now after Nougat, people will be going to Apple in droves...
I would like to find a way to get rid of this message too!. It's been done on other phones by flashing the splash screen image. I learned to live with the message. Annoying as hell but I love my x performance much better with root access.

Getting back fingerprint unlock/pattern unlock after unlocking phone

Hello.
It's me again, and I have another problem. Damn machines like to play it hard (or maybe I'm just clicking wrong choices all the time).
Before unlocking my device via MiUnlock I got myself a finger scanned for quick unlocking the phone. It didn't work all the time but was a nice addition to pattern unlock. After unlocking my phone via fastboot mode I was on tour, and during driving, I was in need of screen being on. I turned off pattern/fingerprint unlock in order to get my beloved girl as a guide.
However, when I wanted to turn it on again today, after setting pattern, pin code or passlock, retyping (redrawing) it again and clicking "confirm"...nothing happens.
Is this the "feature" Xiaomi warned about before I was unlocking my phone on MiUnlock?
Can I somehow turn it on again? It seems like a bad joke, that your device can be secure ONLY when totally locked. And when You like to get root access - sorry mate, you are on your own.
Just to clarify - my MIUI is unchanged from the beginning 7.0 with latest possible update via OTA (all the way to 9.2.1.0 NCFMIEK version). I'm looking forward to swapping it for the new one someday, but I would like to know if there's another way around than just reflashing whole phone and reconfiguration process, that always took me much time. I'll get rid of preinstalled vanilla someday anyway, tbh, but I'm just curious. Also – will this be a thing and will it still occur, when I install some custom?
INB4 – buy yourself a car holder, lazy bastard.
INB5 – You could have changed screen awake time option anytime dude, wtf.
INB6 – You dunno anything about unlocking, get back into your cave and keep smashing stones.
INB7 - better try custom ROM... Time for a Change.

Custom Binary blocked due to remaining installment payment?

Hello, I have a Note 8 that I have previously rooted a few months ago, then came back to stock OS. I have been wanting to install a custom rom now, but the OEM unlock switch is not in settings despite waiting a week. I rebooted into download mode, and there it shows OEM lock: off, along with RMM: Normal. I attempted to install TWRP to it, but it gets blocked with "Custom binary blocked due to remaining installment payment". I've also noticed that there is a entry in about phone > status that shows "Installment payments: Outstanding". Does that mean I have to pay off my phone fully, or pay the current balance on the carrier account? Does CRHA have the same issue? Or is there a workaround that I don't know off?

Not familiar with this message, but just based on the wording alone it sounds like your carrier blocked it until it's paid off. Maybe part of an update somewhere along the way? I would probably phone them for more info and then go from there.

It was only happening in the recent updates when the installment payment showed up in settings, but I doubt the customer service will even know what a bootloader is. Otherwise I would have to wait 2 more years to be able to unlock it, and by then I'll probably have a Note 11 or whatever is out by then. Did the CRHA firmware have that feature?

Hmm I googled the error message and found a bunch of sites and posts describing the issue. Seems like it's actually another message related to RMM state, which would also explain why you don't see the OEM unlock toggle at the moment. I never had this particular message before, but if I did my next step would likely be trying a factory reset and reflashing latest original stock firmware for the device and seeing if OEM toggle appears in 7 days (or using the date-change trick to speed it up, if that still works). Maybe someone else has other suggestions too.

I'll try it during the weekend then. Odd that it happens even with a unlocked CSC (BTU)
Same problem
Bought my phone off of Swappa, which they claimed was good.
To date - I have installed 2 different factory firmwares to no avail. Have the same message and same status. Get stuck on Factory Binary screen trying to run combination ROM.
Bought this phone specifically to root and use on AT&T. Glad I paid little more than 1/2 of new...and tried calling Samsung support but they are of no help!
Definitely looking forward to any suggestions on what to do, to help determine what the problem is.
Thanks in advance, as well.

The RMM state is listed as off, not prenormal, which is what I am guessing you are referring to.
Flashing latest firmware takes this to V4 bootloader which may/may not be something OP is interested in.
Might be a bit of a bump
On the Android Pie betas for the Note8, the OEM unlock button shows, and it toggles as expected, and the installment balance entry also does not show anymore in settings. However, it still won't let me flash TWRP or any binary, showing the exact same message as above. Has a fix been found for this issue, or am I stuck unrooted? Could the S10 have the same issue?

pattern unlock didn't work this morning?

Title says it all, this morning randomly the pattern that I've used for a while did not work I almost had a little panic attack and then I tried my fingerprint and it worked. I went into settings and changed the pattern back to the same one that it was for so long and now it seems to work. What the help could explain that?
Was my phone hacked? Is this a common occurrence? I have a locked up Verizon 512GB blue device. Thank you
This theme was the only alteration I did too my phone lately. I am also is using 'bixby actions' apk . I haven't executed the exc step for bixby actions via adb this round, so it's bone stock.
