Unlock P9 Plus (Chinese version, VIE-AL10) - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm trying to root my P9 Plus but I can't obtain a bootloader unlock code.
I created a huawei id account, went to the page to request the code, inserted all the data (product id, version, imei) but he says that i must be logged with this huawei ID on the smartphone. When I try to login with the huawei id on the phone my region isn't supported (i'm in europe). I could use a fake position app but I need root and so I'm back to square one. Anybody succeded in doing this?

+1.
Also by doing so Huawei won't know you unlocked the bootloader which normally automatically void your warranty.

P8 LITE ALE-L04 bricked

Hi there,
I have a bricked ALE-L04, rooted with KingRoot without unlocking bootloader.
It worked well, until I flashed custom recovery. After that, when the phone rebooted it keeps complaining about modified recovery image with bootloader in locked state.
Since then (15 days ago) I'm asking at [email protected] for the unlocking code, with no answers (more than 10 mails already)
I have several issues when trying to get the code by entering at:
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
It needs a 16 characters Serial Number, and the phone and the box tells a 12 chars S/N
Removing the back cover I've found a 16 chars code printed inside, and thought it would be THE serial number.
When using this 16 code, it says that serial number and IMEI are mismatched.
It's so frustrating. Trying with another ALE-L04 (one that is working), I have the same problems...
If someone has any ideas, or any chance to get direct contact with huawei (they don't answer the mails), please help me
You doesn't need Huawei to email an unlock code for you.
You can get it from here, straight away: http : // emui . huawei . com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
1. Download this Product ID generator and extract it somewhere: https : // drive . google . com/open?id=0B303_1pmtlHIdDVFb0llMGU3bjQ
2. Open it up, select the model HUAWEI C8812 (it should be already selected), type in your IMEI, and voila, you got your Product ID(8-digit number)
3. Go to this link: http : // emui . huawei . com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail and fill it out with your details.
4. You'll get your unlocking code straight away.
I managed to get my phone unlocked via this method.
Sorry for the links, i'm not allowed to post them, only this way.
Thank you for your answer!
I just tried again using the model you told, and same results:
SN and IMEI are mismatched
Do you know where can I get the 16 digits serial number? It's not on the box, nor in the phone neither.
You can find both of these numbers in the phone itself.
Go to Settings > About phone > Status and scroll down, the IMEI and the Serial number should be on the bottom.
If you have multiple SIM slots, then use the first IMEI number.
If it still says mismatched, then try other phone types.
Also, the Product ID generator tells me a different Product ID than my phone, but I was able to get the right unlock code via that number...
I also read somewhere, that some Huawei devices can be unlocked via the fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU command too. It's worth a try.
Thank you!
The problem is that the serial number is 12 digits only, it's not 16 and the unlock page doesn't like it.
By the way, I have a brick, and can't look into system settings because the phone doesn't boot up.
I've tried the UUUUU.. thing but this is the result:
Code:
$ fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
...
FAILED (remote: Invalid key,unlock fail)
finished. total time: 0.134s
Still waiting more help! thank you very much for your time bro!
I've looked up few hits on the google, and seems you're not the only one with this problem.
In the Product ID generator app, you can find several phone models. Try each one of them and copy that Product ID onto the Unlock Code Request page with the same device selected there as in the program.
It'll take some time to get each one checked but I have no better solution.
Just for the record.. I have access to another p8 lite ALE-L04 and both have printed in the inside (removing the back cover) this:
1873UIF421X0xxxx
where xxxx are different.
And this doesn't match any code from the phone or in the box neither.
What I can't do:
The phone doesn't start
I can't look in the phone any data (serial, product ID, etc), because it doesn't start
I can't flash anything, because the bootloader is locked and don't allow me

Unfortunately, the link for the unlock code site requires a phone # check and it's only for a few countries (NOT the US). The email signup page just doesn't work (presumably because I'm trying to sign up from a US web address). You can enter an email, password, veri code, but dead link, just doesn't go anywhere, so this is not usable, unfortunately. Not now anyway.

Unlock Bootloader

I have been trying to get my bootloader unlock code from Huawei's website for over 19 days now. I have a Huawei ID and it's logged in my VIE-AL10 (P9 Plus) for over 19 days now (all apps like huawei cloud, vmall, etc). It even says I logged in dec 25th. However, the website still gives me the "14 days logged in" message. This includes both the English and Chinese website.
Does anyone have a huawei ID that can still grab another bootloader code? I read per account allows for 2 bootloader codes. Any help would be appreciated.

DC-unlocker
I got my bootloader unlock code from here: https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/detail
Looking at the error message, it seems that you need to login to Huawei id from the phone's Huawei app and it will give you the code.

Huawei P9 wrong IMEI, What can I do?

Hi! I have bought a Huawei P9 in MercadoLibre.com.mx. When I received it I checked the IMEI and it was fine. After that I paid a service to unlock the phone. I never checked the IMEI again. The last week I checked again my IMEI and notice It was different from the original, now I have an IMEI from a Pro Plus 6 from Meizu. I have thinking in trying to rewrite the IMEI and put the original but I have fear to lose the unlock. What can I do? Can I lose the unlock if I change my IMEI?
Download HCU https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=htX5Wh-TDXk

I can't download the app. Just links over links. If you have the original app I would glad if you can share with me. The HCU Client is free or I need to pay to use it?

Change Region with Firmware Finder

Hello,
I don't know what to do anymore. I just want to change the region of my P10 from VTR-L29C185 (Oreo) to VTR-L29C432 (Oreo) because I live in Europe and have problems with the mobile network.
I got my bootloader unlock code from the Huawei Site which didn't work (I get the check password failed! error). Then I contacted Huawei saying the code I got didn't work and they sent me the same code again. I explained them the problem and they told me that in their database, my phone is carrier locked to SFR but 1. I checked the SIMLOCK Status which is "SIMLOCK_DEACTIVE" and 2. my SIM Card from another provider works (I just have these issues like random disconnects and it only gets 2G).
So my question is : Can't I simply just flash the European Firmware via Firmware Finder ? Has anyone tried this ?
Thanks.
No you can't. You'll have to rebrand first, with an unlocked bootloader. Did you enable OEM unlocking in developer options?

Yes. The device is recognized in adb and fastboot, and the bootloader shows FRP Unlocked.
have you choose "after emui 5.x" when you asked for the unlock code? Because it sounds like you asked for unlock code for device "before EMUI 5.x".
next suggestion is that you entered wrong imei/product id/serial number. Where and how you get it?
Or anyway, where you bought the device? C185 is middle east region. And it could be locked to carrier by disabling unlocking bootloader and not sim cards.
you can try DC Phoenix ..you need to pay them, and they will send you the unlock key. Should work.

Yes I chose "after EMUI 5.X", and checked the imei/product/ and serial numbers multiple times. I got it from the settings and the secret menu with the dial code.
I bought it on a french website, but it was not a french reseller. I know C185 is middle east, and yes, I think paying DC Phoenix is the only thing left for me to do.
I read the bootloader code with DC Unlock. It wasn't the same I got from the Huawei website and it worked. Funny that Huawei themselves did not give me the proper code even after contacting them.
I hope I get to fix the network issues now. Thanks !
