Device identification error when running a game - Remix OS Player

When I run the game Summoners War on Remix OS Player it gives me an error box that says "Device identification is required to participate in events and collect rewards. The authority to identify devices is included in the authority to [make and manage phone calls]. (Game still available w/o authority). How do I fix this?

Turn off developer options on your phone settings, Then when that orange message appear again, press skip. Done

PC Virus Source Reported

The Associated Press reports that new virus and trojan sources
are coming out of China via all the new electronic gadgets we
becoming addicted to.
They say that the source is at the manufacturing level coming
from either malicious intent or infected test computers on
manufacturing lines.
When you hook infected device to your host PC that's when
the virus/trojan enters into play, they name TomTom gps
as one of the sources of the problem devices along with
plethora of mini music devices.
actually treat my reply as a very serious notification.
there are a hell lot of viruses and trojans coming from china these days.
my pc is infected with something which actually seems to be an adware but has:
1. hijacked my browser
2. always downloads a trojan (no matter what i try to download, i always end up downloading a file setup.exe 139 kb)'
3. no antivirus has detected anything in my system.
4. lan connection is lost (ping becomes >300ms)
when i not knowingly clicked the exe file it did the following:-
1. disabled kaspersky av(infact avp.exe was running with 100% cpu)
2. infected all the exe files on my pc.
3. infected all sytem processes (kept running under 'system')
4. disabled boot in safe mode
5. infected all .htm files
it all starts as the followin: (notice the 2 small chinese windows in webpage which popup with any site including xda-dev)
Guys, before you start a scare and alienate and entire nation how about some facts?
bigstr: do you have a link to any specific articles / news reports / security warnings concerning specific products?
To my knowledge there has been one occurrence so far where a virus accidentally included in a ROM of a nav device and if I recall correctly the manufacturer provided a fix.
mariner_hart: with all due respect, if you click on an exe without knowing where it came from or scanning it with an AV software you have only your self to blame.
I suggest you download a software called HijcakThis (using another PC), run it and post the resulting log on an appropriate forum (not here).
I am sure someone will point out what you need to remove to solve your problem.
Finally, it is a good idea to disable the autoplay function in windows to prevent any CD / DVD / removable disk from running any software before it is scanned for viruses.
I don't have a link as I read it in the Hamilton Spectator and as
I said it was an Associated Press source article and named
TomTom as one of the sources.
I believe it may be possible to research either the Spectator
or AP via net to find source.

OK Google Now, help me report some Moto X bugs

Hello. I have encountered the following bugs on Moto X (System version: 161.44.16.ghost_row.Retail.en.EU), even after reset, and Motorola will only let me fill out a bug report if someone else has them. Please someone confirm/infirm:
1. Touchless Control (v.4.3.11.1) bug: make sure you enable in Touchless Control settings "Commands while locked" and "Auto speakerphone". Let phone on table and say call [wife, friend, etc]. I noticed that speakerphone does not get enabled, not even ofter the other person answers. I did not try yet while in Driving mode.
2. Motorola Connect (v.1.1.11 / Chrome extension version 1.0.39 / Chrome version 34.0.1847.116 m) bug: I am able to login into the web extension dialog, but connection to the phone fails. If I enter Settings->Motorola Connect, the Chrome extension will partially connect, displaying only empty Messages and Recent Calls tabs.
3. Motorola Lost Device service returns "Not Supported: This feature is not supported for your device") but Android Device Manager has no ptoblem in finding phone (https://motorola-global-portal.cust...page/faqs/p/30,6720,8696/reg/819887#/how_do_i)

You can report 1 and 2 via playstor at motorola.com (use the usual email address format ... I don't want bots sending them spam).
They usually want a specific description of the problem and a full device bug report (available in Developer Options). Use the affected app name in the subject line, like " Touchless Control speakerphone bug" or something.
Thank you, I will do that. It would help if any user will try to replicate some of the bugs (even just one of them). I don't want to send bug reports if nobody else has this issue.

[Q] Which CM version does restricted profile actually work in?

I want to setup a HP Touchpad which supports restricted profiles (aka kids mode) so I can have my kids use the TouchPad but only give them access to a few apps and games I select and barring them from other apps, changing system settings, etc..
I just tried updating my TouchPad to JC's CM11 (cm-11-20140625-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin.zip), I was successful but restricted profiles don't seem to work in it. Details are below in case anyone wants to know.
I don't really care which CM version I install on the TouchPad, I just want one where restricted profiles work. If there's anyone out there who has used this specific feature successfully on their TouchPad, please let me know what ROM version you are using. Thanks!
My CM11 experience with restricted profiles:
When to Users, Add Restricted Profile. Did the Set Up Profile now and got the Welcome to CyanogenMod Wizard for the new profile, Select English, Google account setup - Select Skip, Setup your CyanogenMod account - Select Skip, Location Setting - nothing selected, Setup is complete - Select Finish and then got the message Unfortunately, CyanogenMod Account has Stopped. Then I got a Black Desktop. Back, Home, Windows button bar at bottom, Status bar shows Wifi, battery, time, the apps I selected to give that profile access to was not shown. I consistently get Unfortunately, System UI has stopped messages as well.

I Can not spoof Android device with xposed framework

Even after 5 days of trying I didn't manage to spoof an Android app. My configuration is: Lenovo Vibe P1 (P1a42_288_160721_ROW) + ROOT + TWRP + XPOSED. The thing is that android APP somehow tracks me and I get ban immediately. In Terms & Conditions is stated, that this app tracks: device and device identification number, device IMEI country IP address browser type and version operating system Internet service providers advertising identifier of your device visitor identifier I tried following modules but with no success: Device ID Masker, Android Device Info Viever & Changer, Hijack Suite, Phone ID Changer, Serial Number Changer, ID Changer Exposed, Exchange User Agent Faker. Donkey Gunard didn't work on my Lenovo nor on Xiaomi because of Force Close.
As for me, the best is Device ID Masker because it changes almost everything (I have a PRO edition) and it was updated few months ago. But even using this nice module wasn't enough to solve my problem. The APP somehow tracks me and I get ban everytime I try to sign up.
every time I use a new phone number which is 100% unused in that app
every time I change my IP
every time I change Google Advertisement ID manually and all available values in Device ID Masker
every time I clean Data and Cache and after that I restart my phone
every time I spoof all values for all available apps, even system
The only thing I'm not able to change is Android Version/Release, because I get a bootloop if I try to to that. I discovered that the APP does't work properly without Google Services, so I guess that it tracks me somehow through Google Sercices.
Do you have any advices or hints what I shold do in order to make the APP unable to track me?
Thank you in advance ǃ
Phones and other electronics have many IDs, some websites and apps have more advanced user tracking. They can use a combination of information from hardware, behavior, networking information and the smallest of details to make each user a one in a billion or as unique enough to flag and track. This information can be used aginst the users, sold, and carry other privacy concerns. Your best bet is to make your information as generic as possible and to change as many IDs as possible. Trial and error, Its not easy beating big budget company stalkers.
More about ids
Is it possible to block a phone from my app? Do phones have some ID that can be accessed?
Hello I ask this question because I have an app where people will have to post very serious stuff and if a user posts something that is not right, then I want to ban that person forever but how can I

Newbie looking for Samsung4 Smartwatch Apps

I just received a Samsung4 smartwatch and am looking for more apps not available on Google Play! Primarily Social Media apps and Facebook Messenger. LOL. That's where I chat from and those contacts are not in the other message apps - Google Android Messages, Samsung Messages (which is best to use?) I am here to learn how to download the apps listed on this site. I have some IT experience (IT Systems Technician for 16 years/IT Systems Analyst 2 years) but haven't tinkered with a smartwatch. I did brick a phone back in the day so I'm a little scared to mess with my brand-new watch! I did install the Moviebox APK (Kpanda?) on my smartphone, but it didn't require any other software. I already opened Developer Tools - ADB - Debug over WIFI (the IP starts with 10) From what I understand, I have to make changes in Device Manager for the phone, install APK software programs to my laptop (are these free or do I have to pay for it?), download the apps I want from your catalogue and install to the watch? I will watch the videos and follow along! And there is no risk of damaging my watch, like maybe I select something wrong and wipe it out or brick it?
Unfortunately, I don't have a correct IP address - Debug over WIFI shows 10.0.0.194, therefore, I cannot proceed with downloading APKs from Uptodown from either Bugjaeger or Easy Fire Tools. I am connected to Wi-Fi and not getting a 192. IP. There is no notification request sent to a device. When I click continue it says "Authorization Failed". Is there another setting I need to change?
Update: I figured it out. My old internet provider used to begin with 192 but this one starts with 10. Then when I click on the file that I want to install I have to click a prompt on the watch to allow it. All good!
Welcome to the XDA forums! Looks like you found the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 section!
Cheers
